Denise Roberge is heaven on earth. My parents live in Indian Wells, so I’m in the desert often. I always spend an afternoon lunching and then drooling over the jewelry and the art. I’ve always been drawn to large, unique jewelry and Denise’s creations are the top… the best… THE most fabulous, show-​stopping peices that I have ever seen. Moreover, she’s from Vancouver — no wonder she has such great taste.

this is a really unique gallery on el paseo that is not what youd expect to find in palm desert. It has a restaurant owned by the same lady right next door called augusta. both buildings are works of art themselves inside and out. the gallery features extraordinary ironwork ceilings, exotic hardwood floors, and rare handcrafted furnishings. It is not only an art gallery but a jewelry gallery as well with the highly skilled jewelers behind glass working as you wonder around. dont forget to check out the bathrooms too. the gallery shows unique contemporary works in varied media and styles. paintings, sculpture, mixed media, and european antiques for the home. they have an area above the gallery that i think you can rent out for private parties or events. next time your in the desert, have lunch at augusta then walk over to the gallery. A darling golden lab will greet you at the door. nice way to spend an afternoon. Art for the eyes, body and appetite.
