Williams Sonoma

I have had pleasant experiences in Rancho Cucamonga, Rancho Palos Verdes, and Pasadena. This one I am two for two with dissatisfied service. I would recommend shopping another location or online and not waste your time at the Palm Desert location.

Williams-​Sonoma is, in general, my favorite place to buy cooking items. Although on the pricier side, you get quality service and product… usually. I had a terrible experience while visiting the El Paseo location in Palm Desert, CA. I purchased cookware from a very helpful blonde woman, but I had to return it due to faulty manufacturing issues. I had my receipt and it was within the time period allowed for full refund. However, a red-​haired woman working there was SO rude to me about returning the set, that I have never gone back to that location. It was like she took it personally that I was returning the set and she kept insisting that I was just using the cookware wrong and it was my problem. She actually rolled her eyes multiple times when I nicely explained my problem with them. Customers in the store were looking at her because she was so rude to me, and then giving me the «poor you» face. My only regret is that I didn’t say something to her to address her rudeness. So I thought I’d at least write it, so that perhaps management can be aware.
I opted not to exchange at this store because the lady made me feel so bad. I instead went and purchased my new All-​Clad set from a delightful saleperson at Williams-​Sonoma in Los Angeles. I’ve been using it ever since!

Always an upscale and fun shopping experience in any Williams Sonoma store. Exceptional selection of quality items, including unusual seasonings that are not expensive. Going in the store gets your creative juices going and makes you want to try something new.
So glad to have you in the desert, Williams Sonoma!

Fun store for cooking supplies. Good place to find gifts. Prices can be high on some things, but I like to look for bargains here. Polite staff.
