Fast, personal service, customized to our individual home, attentive home office. Mark offered invaluable advice concerning color, materials, size; he made suggestions which improved on the architect’s plan. Couldn’t be more pleased. Excellent workmanship, workers left the premises spotless and didn’t step on a single plant when installing a new maintenance-free awning over our courtyard. The end result surpassed our expectations; neighbors continue to stop by with compliments. Highly recommend Atlas Awning.

The patio cover is nice. But… the people drawing the plans and and installing are not looking at the placement of patio to house. The cover stops mid-window in the living room and it looks bad. I had spoken to the inspector when he come by and he informed me that the cover could be extended. I contacted the installer and explained that it was not adequate for shade and looked unfinished. The person I spoke with said that it would have to be cut and reinstalled at my expense. I asked to have an estimate. He never returned my call. It would seem to me that people who design and install patio covers would have notice the discrepancy and designed the cover to shade the whole window. At least bring it to my attention. I was there at the time of installation and assumed that the«slats» would continue over the window. Obviously not! It seems that they are unconcerned about how it turns out. UGH!

We ended up purchasing a very cool powered louvered patio covering from Atlas Awning. If you’ve been to the bar at Wang’s, look up and you’ll see the same system in place there. The louvers can be moved to allow sunshine in at different angles or they can be completely shut in case the rare rains arrive in the desert. These are pricey, but worth it. At first, we were super impressed with Mark and his business at Atlas. He was responsive, professional, and a very nice guy. He even threw in replacing a screen on our screen door as a thank-you for the business we had given him. Kudos on that. However, after install we had some heavy rains and found that there were some leaks. At first he blamed it on our roofing and said it had nothing to do with his install. Upon further inspection, he found that it did, in fact, have to do with the installation and he said it would be taken care of. Yet, it took months for this to be resolved. He became unresponsive, which in my opinion, is unprofessional. In the end, this was fixed … but never with an apology or explanation, which would have been helpful. To me, service is half of the equation when considering quality. Atlas started out with a 5-star rating in my mind, but slipped on the follow-up and follow-through.
