I cannot say anything about the food as we did not eat there. Went in with a party of four and was perusing the menu when suddenly a cockroach crawled across the menu of one of our party. Needless to say we got up and left.

The food was lacking flavor. I had the petite steak with garlic mashed potatoes. I couldn’t taste any garlic in the potatoes and my steak was over cooked and dry. Plus it was over priced. I gave a 2 rating because the root beer was good.

I’m a new resident in the desert, & this is def a place we will return to often. We had the steak special for $ 28.00. We both prefer our steaks well done which can be a challenge sometimes because some cannot cook a steak well done without drying it out. This steak was absolutely wonderful. .

These guys served what they called a petit filet mignon but I couldn’t tell if it was a hockey puck, a door stop, a paperweight or a block of wood. Awful. And the sautéed spinach had a week’s allowance of salt in it. Horrible.

I would never go to this place again. Had an early dinner for 4 with my family. The food was OK, although they charged for a simple substitution. Service was OK. Then came the bill. With the gratuity already added. This was for 4 people, not a large party. No one was loud, obnoxious, drunk, or poorly dressed where they might think I would stiff them. They just decided it would be a good idea to end the dinner with an insult. Never again.

This review is just for the bar, we didn’t actually order food. The restaurant itself is ok. Not super dim and kind of dated. The outside patio actually looked better, but it was really cold. The host was friendly, we were going to have dinner but were very unappetized at the smell as we walked in. I actually tried ignoring it until my husband brought it up. It smelled like sewage. Not sure if it was the bathroom, or if it was bad fish/seafood but it definitely stunk up to the place to the point that we just decided to order drinks. The $ 8 pinot nior was more like 2 glasses of wine the pour was so big. My husband really liked his titos and cranberry as well. We would definitely go back for drinks because they hooked it up! Hopefully next time we go it doesn’t have the umm, weird smell.

Um, Stinccio’s. I hate saying something so potentially injurious, but when we walked in to be seated at the bar, the initial smell was unappetizing. My wife didn’t smell it at first but then closed her menu and decided we’d just have drinks. Though another Unilocaler made a similar remark, I’m willing to believe it was an off-night, a funky cheese, a gaseous customer… Normally I would give such a place 2 stars, but everyone there was super nice and attentive, the place has its charm, and most importantly the cozy bar is exceptional in that they have a big pour on the wine(the house wine was great), strong well drinks, and, as our awesome server remarked, they had 1996 prices for which we’d definitely return for drinks.

Went In for lunch, our server was Becca(if I remember correctly) she was such a delight. The lobster ravioli was really good as was the tuna melt. Will be back!

This is the only place I’d ever eaten in my life where customers will be up-charged for substitutions of side orders on a $ 32 entrée. Getting fries with my steak, instead of the customary potatoes was an additional $ 6. They are billed on the menu and on the receipt as «house cut fries». They are not, and are clearly from a distributor(as evidenced by the interior texture of the fry, the lack of any skin on the exterior of the potato, the regularity of the cut, and other factors). Also, the ketchup was not Heinz, but was runny and cold. If you are going to deviate from a classic condiment, at least give the customer something better or unique. Steak was decent, but nothing spectacular. Hostess was an elderly lady and actually kind of rude.

I had a fabulous dining experience at Riccios. I have a severe dairy and oil allergy and it was treated with the utmost importance. My steak was grilled to my liking and my baked potato was specially prepared as well as my veggies. I was floored at how well my allergy was taken care of and have not even been able to eat that much food yet on my week long vacation. Thank you Riccios.

I rarely stop at a place that’s is under 4 stars by Unilocal(my fellow Unilocalers usually nail it every time) but this restaurant consistently showed 5 stars for steak & bread pudding which is what I had on the brain. Steak was perfectly cooked. In fact ALL our food was excellent. Risotto, filet, NY strip, lobster bisque, clam chowder, carpaccio & what else? Bread pudding of course. Wine list was impressive. Service gets 2 stars. Our server desperately needed training but I assume she is a family member(no one would let her stay here). No suggestions, no up sells, zero personality, we tried to get her to laugh-to no avail … and we had to ASK about dessert. Bus boy made up for her lack of any excitement. He was right there. Good job Riccios!

We walked in the side entrance and the bartender opened the door and welcomed us which was nice. We were seated immediately. There were so many tables opened so we had our pick. The waitress brought us fresh bread that was nice and warm. The Jazz was very relaxing for the evening. My mother had the rustic cioppino which she ate the whole thing. My mother is never picky. I had the lobster bisque which i scarfed down like a peasant. I guess I should have ate more earlier in the day. My sister prime sirloin petite filet was a little undercooked so they took it back for a bit more. Other than that it was a great experience.

The place was packed on Valentine’s Day so we waited a long time for everything. The staff worked it and dud there best. The clams linguine was good as was the spring salad. That being said stay clear of their steaks — tough and gamey, almost tasted like liver. I would advise the chef to charge more and buy a better cut of beef. Side note the patio furniture is miss-matched and in bad condition.

Very disappointed in my experience. I ordered my steak medium to medium rare and it came out medium well. Brought this to the attention of my server, but nothing was done to make it right, not even a visit by the manager. I didn’t ask to see a manager, but I have served tables before and if something wasn’t right, I did my best to make it right with my customer. I could have been a jerk about this experience, but chose to see if they would handle it on their own and that sure didn’t happen. I won’t come back.

My review is not in the food because we didn’t make it that far. The host or what seemed to be the owner was so horrible and rude we didn’t even bother eating, we got up and left for one of the other several restaurants on the block. Hey sir, if you’re reading this, the restaurant business is not just about the food, it’s also about the service.

This place is run by a ridiculous owner followed by staff. Because I left a horrible review that was justified over a year ago I was tainted, and harassed by employers for several days, followed by messages telling me that now Danny Riccio fired him, and he will be homeless with a one year old. Be careful with your reviews!!! I had to block 3 Unilocal accounts. Still the crappiest place to go in Palm Springs. I see the reviews do not lie. When will places like this get it? Go into palm desert, they have FLEMINGS, RUTHSCHRIS, ROYS, and many others. I’ve been to those, they are all great. This place is DIRTY, people are rude from the hostess, to the OWNER. I wish I could give it negative 5 stars. I’ve never been to a more horrible place than this.

Meh! Skip it. Th Italian place next door was busy and this one was empty. For good reason. Screwed up order not managed well. Waitress inattentive and bus boy more attentive as in Joe C’s review. The Mediterranean seafood dish doesn’t come out even close to what is posted on their menu and advertising. I’ll post the pics, minding that the real food pic was sent out again after they added the clams and mussels, which also ultimately over cooked the shrimp lobster as they held the plate under a heat lamp. We were the ONLY customers in the place. So sad. Sad dinner for us and a bad review for them.

This restaurant proved to be very sub-par. Our waitress wasn’t very pleasant and was often inattentive. She didn’t even check my ID when ordering a drink, but asked my wife for hers. She then proceeded to question if the license was actually hers. We ordered crab legs for appetizers, and were both further disappointed. They charged us $ 38 for an appetizer that wasn’t work 10 bucks. The crab was clearly frozen, not fresh as advertised. They were soggy and in no way worth the money. However, the bus boy was extremely helpful and polite, as was the bartender. Again, the waitress did not display a pleasant attitude, and was even bad mouthing another table to some friends right next to us. I ordered the lobster ravioli and my wife the shrimp Alfredo. The ravioli was good, but with only 4 average size pieces it was not filling. My wife’s Alfredo was good and was a decent portion size, but the shrimp was tough and chewy. Overall, definitely not worth the money or the time spent. With the many number of restaurants very close by, I would choose another.

This was our first time here and it was pretty good. Most important my boyfriend enjoy it. LOL Since, he is the one that is harder to please. I suggest a little more ac because the area we were seat was a little warm. With a bottle of wine between two people, it just felt like we were feeling the heat from outside. When asked to turn up the air, they did, even though I did not feel much change, but the point is they tried. Other than that, the steak was decent and service was good. My suggestion, give it a try.
