The Works Floor & Wall

We were doubling our office space and needed new carpet to flow throughout the entire office. We stopped by The Works Floor and Wall and Charles was able to direct us to carpet that would fit our budget (we are just renters so did not want to spend too much). We picked the carpet and he sent someone out to measure. Later that day we had our quote and were ready to go. Did I mention we needed it done in a week or so as we had our most important client visiting our new space for the first time? The installers were right on time and so professional. There were a few pieces of large furniture that I could not move myself and they insisted that they do it for me without my help. All the old carpet was quickly removed and they began to prepare for the new carpet and pad. They worked very quickly and by early afternoon they were done. They were short a few pieces of molding and came in first thing Saturday morning to install them so we would be ready for our Monday meeting. Throughout the process we were in touch with Michael Collins, one of the owners and he came by when the job was done to make sure we were satisfied. We certainly were not a very large job but they sure treated us right from beginning to end. We would use them again in a minute!

Beautiful, professional tile installation to perfection. We had a custom, very complex job. Jerry Flowers was a pure pleasure to work with, he understood what we wanted and was diligent to carry that out. First Class work with competitive pricing no matter how big or small the project. One VERY satisfied customer!

Absolute fantastic! I went to The Works while at our families vacation home to take care of some DIY maintenance things and although they couldn’t help with all of the materials I needed, they were amazing at the advice and direction they were able to provide even to the point of comping me some cleaners to try even though I didn’t spend a dime, I actually feel like I made some friends here and I look forward to working with them in the future

What is going on with this company??? I had a very good sales and installation experience. Now after months since the job was complete they have come back and asked me for around $ 1k additional payment… not any request at installation, as with other flooring companies I have worked with. The first I heard from them was this week (although they claimed to have contacted me previously??) and they are now saying I am seriously delinquent on some billing they claim to have sent end of December 2013 — never ever received it! So, I am a part time Palm Springs resident and explained many times in emails to this company’s controller that I do not recall owing additional but I would like to check my initial order paperwork before shelling out another $ 1k — never saying I will not pay it but rather I need to review the paperwork, which is in Palm Springs and I am in LA, prior to making any additional payment. Their controller is now going off on me via email and making all kinds of threats. Cannot understand this type of business operations? STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Went in here a while ago to buy tile. When the guy (wish I remembered his name, but I’ve seen him manning the booth for the store at the Home Expo show at the Convention Center). Anyway, when he learned I was only doing a master bathroom… and not a whole house… and then when he learned that they would not be installing but that my contractor would… he lost all interest in helping me at all and walked away. I had also given him my contact info because there was a faucet I as very interested in that I saw in a catalog in their showroom… never heard from him on that either. Sleezy, not customer oriented.
