We had such a great experience at Cherry Blossom Farms in late May – beautiful setting in the country, friendly owners, earlier and heavier set trees than other orchards, color codes tree varieties, and delicious, healthy cherries. There’s nothing like picking your own fruit – it’s healthier, fresher and more delicious when right off the tree. Plus it’s just plain fun. I especially like Cherry Blossom Farms since it’s famiky run and not so huge, plus the cherries come on sooner than other orchards so you can pick them when it’s earlier and cooler. And the specialty cherry BBQ sauce, popovers, etc. are fabulous.

came all the way from LA, we went to this place today at just almost 2pm. it’s understandable if they’re closed already bec they’re out of cherries. it’s very disappointing though that they don’t update their website just so people will know the status of the cherry availability. their phone system sucks bec there’s no way you can talk to a live person where you can ask questions. they instead direct callers to go to the website but their website doesn’t even have complete current information. will not come back to this place. never again.

I like this Cherry Orchard because they have a good assortment of Bing and Brooke cherries. All of the cherry trees have their trunks color coded. Bing cherry trees are white and Brooke cherry trees are blue. Both of these cherries are sweet, dark cherries. I like to support this cherry orchard because its further back in residential Leona Valley vs the giant, obvious Villa Del Sol. Last year they had cherry turn overs which were amazing. This year the cherries blossomed early and they didn’t have time to arrange to have the turn overs made, but they assured me they would have them next year. If you are going to go this year I would recommend going as soon as possible, they have been open since mothers day and they still have plenty of cherries, but soon they will be over ripe. I really like the owner at this orchard, he is very friendly and helpful.

We went today and tried this farm on a whim. We used to go to another place that closed down. The people were great, showed us which trees were which because they were color coded at the bottom. I would come again for sure. They didn’t mind that we tasted one off the tree to make sure it was good, unlike Vista down the road.

It’s cherry picking season again! Last year, I went to Villa del Sol Sweet Cherry Farms for cherry picking. This year … I’ve decided to go visit a smaller cherry farm. After an «extensive» research, I found three cherry farms that open during the Memorial Day weekend(Villa del Sol Sweet Cherry Farms, Ambers U-Pick, and Cherry Blossom Farms). No Unilocal review page for Cherry Blossom Farm? Okay, sounds like a great adventure! And what a pleasantly surprised experience! Pros: — No minimum amount of purchase limit — More cherry varieties(6 different types of cherries, but only 4 out of 6 are ripe) — Tree trunks are color-coded to help you identity types of cherry (White = bing, green = rainier, blue = brooks, yellow = Utah giant, and there are red /orange, but I already forgot what those represent — and each type of cherry ripens at different time) Cons: — I can’t think of any … maybe somewhat hidden location? Overall: Truly a hidden gem — less crowd, more selections, one of the few orchards to open before other’s, and friendly staff. It’s pretty much everything you can ask for an amazing cherry picking experience. P. S. — Cherry Blossom Farms has been growing cherries since 1959, so some of their cherry trees are older than other farm’s. P. P. S. — Typically the cherry picking season last about 2 — 4 weeks, check the website or sign up for the email list for more information.
