I frequent this nail salon, as do many of my friends. I can’t speak for the facials, waxing, etc., but for a manicure/pedicure, BT nails is a great place to go. There usually isn’t much of a wait, either; you can walk right in. These hardworking ladies consistently do a great job, and the leg massage is wonderful. I travel a bit, so I’ve had manicures and pedicures in lots of places, and believe me, this is a good salon.

Yooouch… all these bad review are painfully true, painful as the mistress of pain and rash waxer. Bt does a great job on nails but skip the waxing for sure… I got my lip waxed after a the waxing chick told me I needed my ladystache waxed … HOWRUDE. I had a reaction to the wax that lasted me two long weeks of dry scally skin so big beware here. However they do a magnicent job with nails. Very natural and two months later my pedi is chip free and pretty. When I smudged my nails a minute after leaving they fixed for me. How sweet. Parking can be a pain in the ass.

Bottom line: nothing at all to write home about. I work at City Hall, was in desperate need of a brow taming, and this place would take me during my lunch break. I called ahead of time and it was easy to make an appointment. When I arrived, I was greeted right away and led to a private room for my waxing. I noticed that was about as busy as one could expect on a Friday afternoon. It’s nice that there’s not that funky nail product smell and the place LOOKED reasonably clean. She got to work on my brows and since I had about 3 weeks of growth, it could have been a lot worse. I *will* say that I was pleased with her not leaving a bunch of wax on my face and she did a great job of keeping me comfortable. The pain really wasn’t that bad, but then again, I’ve been threading for over a year and I don’t know that anything could be more painful than THAT.(I’m sorry Deepa, I had to cheat on you… you’re on vacation!) Pros: smells nice looks clean tweezers were wrapped in plastic like they’d been in an autoclave she left no baby powder or wax residue on my brows Cons: SHEDOUBLEDIPPEDTHEWAX!(did you hear that, Carla? SICK!) sidenote-sticks really are NOT that expensive I had to ask her to trim my eyebrows too one was an itsy bitsy bit longer than the other scissors did NOT come from the autoclave Are you fucking KIDDINGME? 15 bucks for a fucking eyebrow wax? Um… when you talk about the $ 28 you charge for a basic pedicure, you’d think that your business could afford to pay the fees for credit card usage… I didn’t want to use a check, but I had to If this check is washed and reused, I’m gonna be so pissed. She told me to leave the receipent’s name blank.

Hi All, Ok, These girls are very nice and do a consistently good job. Most that patronize are regulars who are very familiar with the staff. A fine local establishment. No frills… but there is ALWAYS a friendly face :)

NEGATIVESTARS! OMG. I hate lengthy Unilocal reviews, but this warrants a small rant. My mom was right, you get what you pay for. So I was having a brat attack and decided I NEEDED a facial. Not tomorrow, not in 5 minutes, but NOW. Every reputable place was booked so I walked outside of Coupa Café where I was working and found Kim’s Nails. They do facials! Hooray right? It gets worse. So we walk over to BT Nails where they do the facials(both owned by same owners) for the facial. It’s $ 45 for 1 hr. She steamed my face so much I now have a head cold. The girl who did my facial;s hands had like nasty callouses on them from doing nails so it was like this warty hand running over my face. SHEMASSAGEDMYEYEBALLS. She slapped the lotion into my skin. I was MENTALLY writing this review the ENTIRE time of the facial. I actually bolted up after 40 mintues and said I had forgotten I had to be somewhere and paid and left. I have an appointment booked at Burke Williams to undo the damage that was done to my pauvre epidermis. DONOT ever settle for cheap facials. Especially not here.

Holy cow, I must have received the worst manicure ever. I don’t know why I went here. Perhaps it was because I lost my mind while I was on antibiotics for strep. Perhaps it was because I wanted to park close enough to Fraiche to get some frozen yogurt for dinner, since it was the only thing I could eat. But man, from the second I walked in there, I knew I was going to regret it. Did I ever! It’s dirty. It has the most antiquated tools I have ever seen for giving manicures. The files were little teeny tiny thin ones that they used to use in the ‘50s or something. They even used the metal file, like one that comes attached to clippers, but bigger. I got stabbed on about 7 of my fingers with a toothpick for digging the dirt out. I don’t think I had any dirt under my nails. It’s ugly in there. The chairs, cushions, tacky Christmas lights, art work, etc are all sub-standard. But what really made me want to puke was the music. It was something like 70s elevator music. I remember being thankful to hear Lionel Richie«Dancing on the Ceiling» and that song makes me want to stick forks in my ears on a normal day. The employees were fighting over money and tips while giving me a French manicure, for 10 minutes. The manicurist laughed at me when I asked her politely to apply a base coat . When applying the polish, she put one coat of white on the tips and that was it. Within 2 days, the polish is all nasty and cracked. Total cost of disappointment: 1 hour(I even rejected the arm massage to get out of there quicker) and $ 18. Yikes, don’t go.
