I think get to l this camp is very exciting because you get to learn things that you don’t learn in school. Such as creating websites, learning about how to create a product, marketing, and coding! I will come back here next year to learn new things!

My son took their App class in Campbell through the Saratoga parks and rec. It was extremely disorganized, 3 classrooms in 4 days(the second of which was not communicated). Not a lot of info. was sent to parents. Wi-Fi was not set up for the demand they needed. I also received an email the night after the first class saying we should give our children their own laptop to bring in(why this was not relayed prior to the start I am not sure), only to have the instructor apologize about the Wi-Fi not working properly because too many people brought in their own laptops… really? I was hoping for a more organized experience inside the classroom as well. Just not satisfied for what we paid.

I worked as a teacher for youth start up this summer. I am a credentialed teacher with a masters degree and loved the lesson plans that I was given to use as instruction. This camp is project based learning at its finest. The instruction allows interactive brainstorming and creation among teams of young people. It was inspiring to watch the students create business plans, marketing slogans and logos, forecast projected sales, and have fun all the while!

My son took an SAT prep class here and I was really happy. He thought the class was really good and really helpful. We were considering signing him up for another class which was too much at about $ 500 specially since they advertised it includes two full tests– there goes half the class. Later I found another one for only $ 160ish which was good price but only 8 hours in a weekend bootcamp and I heard it was taught by REALLY young college freshman. But this youthstartup class was a good value and we specially liked the fact that the instructor was available via email and after class to help the students with any questions. She even offered to review their essays which unfortunately my son didn’t have ready yet. Don’t waste your money on very long or very expensive classes or on a shotgun«bootcamp». A good medium length class like this one is all the kids need and the rest is up to them“ Layola ;)

My boys attended a couple weeks of camp in Los Gatos that just ended and one in San Jose. They really enjoyed themselves and made good friends withing their«company». The director told us that the camp philosophy is learning through building a startup. I know from my own experience that 1 year in a startup environment was as much learning as 10 years in a large company. So, why not teach kids social and academic subjects in a real life(kid version) company/business building environment. These guys should be supported and encouraged to continue expanding and improving. I give them 5 stars!

Outstanding camp! My daughter took few sessions. I could see a huge progress with the way she expressed her thoughts and put them in writing. Teacher was amazing. We need more of those great camps, please continue them in summer!
