This is one of the few restaurants in PVE. They are consistently good for brunch and since it’s a casual setting, you don’t have to wait forever to get your food. Menu has changed recently. Go check them out!

I have been a few times. Great setting. Fresh good food. I’m most certainly glad that they are around and close. Opening a couple locations was a great idea.

Came in at around 8am, Monday. Place was empty. Waitress /cashier was very friendly. Good service. Café latte and breakfast wrap were good. Would come back. Good place for some coffee and food after a power walk from Torrance Beach. Nice, quiet location. Dog friendly patio. Much better food than at their Palos Verdes Drive West location.

We went here for mothers day and it was really busy. We waited about 45 minutes in line to order our food. The menu is really good for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. Food: Roasted Vegetable scramble 12 $: came with 3 eggs assortment of roasted vegetables and goat cheese. It also came with 2 slivers of sliced baguet and a side salad with balsamic vinaigrette. I got it omelette style instead of scrambled. Firstly, it only came with 2 slices of bread, really small slices. It was not enough for the size of the dish. But everything tasted really good and fresh. The eggs were lacking seasoning, but other than that it was good. Croissant: $ 3: It was ok. A little stale. I definitely had better ones at other places. Even Starbucks croissant is better. Cappuccino: $ 4: Very good. nothing to complain here. Belgian Waffles: 12 $: Served with whipped cream, strawberries, butter and maple syrup. This was very good, but nothing to write home about. I usually get the red velvet french toast, but they didn’t have this time. If they have it get it, it’s fantastic. Veggie Omelette: $ 12: very good. very similar to the roasted vegtable. Sweet Dreams crêpe 12 $: strawberrys, bananas, nuettella, and whipped cream. Very good crêpe. It was really good. The service was very good. They were nice and helpful. Parking is easy to find they have a ton of spaces. I would reccomend this place and will be back.

This place absolutely deserves 1 star or even less. There is no such a thing as Service exist in this place. We got ourselves an uncleaned table in the back patio. No one came to clean our table. I saw other tables plates piling up everywhere. One lady came up to the cashier and was begging them to clean her table… We waited and waited for our food to come. At least 30 mins… everyone was getting pissed because we were starving. I ordered fruits de mer. Basically seafood salad on a piece of bread. When food finally arrived Not only the look of it wasn’t appetizing but also the taste was just terrible. It was one of the worst food I’ve ever had. I had a bite and left the rest to the peacocks. Everyone else said their food was just ok. Yeah, they were just ok at best. I am shocked how they run a restaurant business serving such horrible food and service. I am never coming back here, that’s for sure. If you go there(hope you don’t have to), don’t order the fruits de mer. You will regret and get sad like I did.

Hosted a small bridal shower luncheon at this beautiful location and was very pleased with the outcome! It was simple to set up, as Yellow Vase took care of the food and lovely table arrangements, and the room was perfect – cheerful and charming. Brenda, our server, was great as well. Thank you!

Wonderful food and wonderful service especially if you get Jona to serve you! My wife and I got the 2 by 2 and had lots of variety of delicious breakfast goodness! Hopefully yellow doesn’t make you squint because yellow is for sure highlighted here.

Cute coffee spot, coffee was ok, food was ok… prices a little on the higher side of things but the taste and quality didn’t really seem to justify the pricing. Ample parking and service was ok, nothing really special.

Went for lunch today –I got a ½ tuna sandwich and small cup of butternut squash soup for myself and a Belgian waffle” for my daughter. $ 25 later — the food was sub-par at best. The tuna salad had no seasoning whatsoever — I just felt it should have been a bit more upscale tasting for the price. The soup was not hot. The 2 cornishon pickles were old-tasting. I couldn’t even eat the two sad looking tomatoes on the side. My daughter liked her waffle, but it also was not warm and it was not crunchy on the outside. It was very soft. For the money, it was a real downer to me. Service was the same — sub-par. Sad, that in such a pretty atmosphere the food couldn’t have been better and that the gal taking orders couldn’t have just offered a smile. Sad to report that I Won’t go back.

Beautiful setting. No, not true, gorgeous setting. Was on a walk around Malaga Cove Plaza and stopped by. Very pretty inside. I ordered an omelette and it was ok but not worth the price. I don’t eat much cake, cookies or pastries but there was a delicious looking chocolate cake slice and I ordered a cappuccino to go with it and it was the best coffee I’ve ever had(which until then was the coffee I had in Bogota but this beat it) smooth and yummy and the cake(I’m not even a chocolate lover so it was really an impulse order) the cake was rich and perfect. I still think of that coffee and cake. I will be back. It’s really nice to bring friends and family who live inland. You can take them to see Malaga Cove School, Rat Beach if you can hike up and down the narrow path, the Neighborhood Church and of course the Glass Church and tide pools.

After work, I came in the last hour of the store closing for a quick cup of coffee before I headed home. The girl working the register brought out the desert and coffee promptly and was nice enough to offer their Wi-Fi password to me, which was a plus. I really enjoyed their Parisian-esque theme. From the décor to the music, it was nice and calming after a long day at work. The coffee was better than most cafes, and desert was equally satisfying. 3 stars for now. I’m excited to come back again when I have more time to try their brunch menu.

Nice place to stop after your 3 mile hike at Malaga. I ordered the stacker panni and almond croissant. The panni was Huge and delicious. The panni had turkey meat which was very moist, lots of avocado, the bread fresh and nicely grilled(worthy of 5 stars and would order again) the almond croissant, on the other hand, was a big disappointment. It was tough, dry, not flaky at all(0 stars) I think they nuked it too long or it was days old. I should have sent it back. Thank goodness they made a good cup of coffee for me to wash it down with. My recommendation: order the panni but skip the baked goods.

Food is pretty good and a great location, especially if your bike. But at least on the times I’ve come on weekends the service is slow. I think the staff levels need to be raised on the weekends. I’ve been to all the other locations and not an issue. I want to say the waitress/cashier(from another location) apologized for the wait and gave us some sweets as an apology. But we know she was doing the best she could with staff her and not her fault. But more staff we think would help attend to customer needs.

Yellow vase café now has 5 locations(Malaga cove, Redondo Beach, golden cover, silver spur & on the border of San Pedro). We have been to the one in golden cove & although that location is ocean front & gorgeous, this one in Malaga Cove tops that location. It’s a gorgeous little café with beautiful yellow color decoration in a white brick building located inside a very European looking building in Malaga cove. It’s got an outside seating area with gorgeous yellow flowers, tables & umbrellas. I give 5 stars to the ambiance & location but I give 4 stars for the food & service. We ordered the Mexicana Omelette, the Spanish & cheese croissant & coffee. I have to be honest, I’ve had better omelette & croissant & coffee. This is a perfect place to go for brunch on the wknd or come with just your girlfriends to spend some quality time together & take some beautiful pics. I will be going back to this place & recommend it to everyone who is into nice scenery & ambiance.

We like Yellow Vase but the last few times we stopped at this location we’ve been disappointed. Service was slow and unprofessional. And the quality of the food was not great. And whatever you do, do NOT order the parfait. It’s served in a coffee cup! Consequently, it’s a very small serving. Barely enough for a child!

Im still here enjoying this beautifull day . What a beautifull discovered this restaurant its adorable, i had it bookmarked for a long time and we finally made it . From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by some nice guy i think his name was Pedro as you know im horrible with names, he asked us right away if it was our first time and we said Yes ! So he told us to go to the counter and then order and we will get a number and then they will bring the food to our table . Decisions, decisions oh boy i wanted to try everything . The girl at the counter she had glasses i cant remember her name she was so sweet, helped us out to decide. We ordered their chi-chi chicken and chorizo scramble and their Montecristo, both were very good just wishing the chorizo was more mix very well into the eggs but there im jus being a little picky lol, the montecristo sandwich was so tasty with the syrup . Drinks: cashier recommended me the Spanish latte and it was good, my coffee in the mornings needs to be perfect cuz i hate when they serve me horrible cheap coffee, this one was perfection. My husband had the Caramel latte it was good, im not a fan of caramel . He also had the Vanilla cream puff and all i heard from his mouth it was Wow, i was too full to try a bite of it . We will be coming back to this location for sure not only because the food was good also because their customer service it was great.

I adore the location, its quaint and lovely. Although the setting is a bit contrary to the other Yellow Vase. This location has more outside seats than indoor. The food are great and very filling, the only thing I that would make the place a lot better is to have more desert selections. Other than that its a great place to have lunch and drink ice tea.
