Tyndall Diner

A Hidden Gem. One of those places you’ll use as a go2. Good honest comfort food. My second time for breakfast, ordered the country fried steak skillet Wow!

Went here for the first time thinking it would be cheap. Oh boy was I wrong! It was more expensive than IHOP but the food quality was terrible. Had the garden omelette and the spinach in it seemed like it was from a can. The pancake was not edible and the sausage was very fatty. If you can drive a couple more miles to go to IHOP I would highly suggest doing so.

Nearly the worst ever place we have ever eaten, but they possibly got me with the Tyndall name connection. It is a large open space, and after the airport around 2:00 in the afternoon, we were the only people in the building which is in a very busy area. The chalkboard by the front door proudly announced One soup, One vegetable, and One dessert. These were not features, they were the ONLY offerings in categories. Terrible, terrible food. Spaghetti sauce was straight out of a jar.

Seems like a hit and miss after reading the reviews. We went anyway. Very friendly place. The appetizer was brought out long enough before the meal to enjoy it (Fried pickles that were actually fried pickle spears rather than chips). The portions were large to say the least. The chicken parmesan was prepared well. The spaghetti came out and while tasty it was fettucini noodles with marinara. I’d try this place again because I saw some breakfast items on the menu I’d like to try. Don’t count it out just yet.

I had the Liver and Onions this was the worst I had ever had. It was dry and tasteless. The mash potatoes was like glue. Will never eat here again, save your hard earned money.

I have been to the dinner twice and I was very happy with my meal very clean and good service will be back and prices are very responsible

I took my mother here because I heard some good things about this place. I ordered the tilapia with mashed potatoes and it comes with the vegetable of the day (corn, carrots, peas). She ordered the senior citizen country fried steak, mashed potatoes, and again the vegetable of the day (corn, carrots, peas). When we got our plates it automatically turned us off. My fish was so watery it was super soggy, my moms country fried steak (which should always be crispy) was like cutting into a paper towel, the mashed potatoes were just disgusting, and the *vegetables of the day* were probably bought from Walmart in the frozen veggie section. We took one bite off each plate and I went to the cashier and told her I was not going to pay for any of that food but I would pay for the 2 sweet teas. The cashier argued with me and looked at me as if I were dumb until I said you go look at our plates. She did charge us for the drinks. If you want somewhere to eat I do NOT recommend this place.

First time here. Grabbing some breakfast at 0830 on a Wednesday morning.
Not real busy.
I ordered the number 4 breakfast special for $ 3.99. Friendly service.
Breakfast special includes 2 eggs (I ordered mine fried hard), 2 sausage links and hash browns.
Men’s room was well stocked and pretty clean.
Eggs were cooked fine and the hash browns were plentiful and crisp. Everything was greasy of course, but that is what I expected given what I ordered.
I’m giving it a 4 for what it is. Old building with a diner type menu and at a reasonable price. Clean and courteous. It’s a greasy spoon with decent food and good service.

I’ve eaten there twice, gotten sick both times. I don’t think it’s a coincidence at this point.

Excellent breakfast for a Sunday morning. Reasonable prices and large portions. Not too most either. The fruit pancakes were delicious.

If you haven’t tried this place you need to. Amazing food. It’s very simple diner comfort food. The wait staff if all very friendly and attentive. The food was all fresh and if you have food allergies they will work with you. If you go away from this restaurant hungry it’s your own fault, because their portions are huge.

I have eaten here twice. Once at lunch another in the evening. We were seated promptly upon entering and attended to quickly. I ordered breakfast for both meals. I really enjoyed the waffles and the hash browns. Having lived in NJ for many years and eating at numerous diners I believe Tyndall Diner’s food choices and quality are on par with the ones up there.

STAY AWAY! Rami9 and Cameron must be owners or relatives. This place is terrible! My first experience was terrible, but I gave them a second chance a few weeks later! Either the server or the kitchen can not get the order straight; and the food is nasty! STAY AWAY! I will be surprised if they are still open in a few months. If Bay County Board of Health inspectors did their job it would already be closed!

The food was good… there was plenty of it and it was hot. It was what I ordered and expected. The price was right as well. I will be back time and time again!

The place inside looks nice, the food was gross; hamburgers were frozen and they use velveeta sliced cheese for cheese. It was pretty sick. The waitress was really odd. She brought our bill back and stood at the table until we signed and discussed a tip. Very unprofessional and quite frankly awkward. I promise this is a place that I will never try again; should have kept it the Chinese buffet, that was much better.

Nice surprise for the southern Panama City area. Service was great. Food was above average, and they are very military friendly. We brought a group of five and everyone was satisfied. We will certainly be repeat customers.
