Alondra Hot Wings

I am glad that I am not the only one that is disappointed with customer service for this location. I am only giving a 2-​star rating because the food is awesome and I love their peach ice tea.
We’ve been here a couple of times and service was always great and the the waiters were always awesome. Mind you, the other times we’ve been there, it would be busy. Even at those busy times we’ve been there, service was always great. But the last time my family and I were there, there was hardly anyone dining at the moment and the service we got was crap! I am going to list a couple things that bothered me with our last visit:
1. Our waiter brought our drinks then he just tossed the straws across the table, 2 at a time since we were a party of 6. I thought to myself, I’m going to let it go.
2. I believe it was a manager or someone higher than the waiter (he had a blue shirt on; waiters had black shirts) brought my husband’s wings out with no ranch. Like, who eats wings with no ranch.
3. I had went to the restroom and a waiter bumped in to me and I said, sorry but she just kept on going like she didn’t bump in to me. I always apologize whether it’s my fault or not. Anyway, again, I let it go. But then, I came back to our table and my husband told me the same thing happened to him and she didn’t say anything either. So, from here on out, I am already starting to get irritated.
4. The waiter only came once to check on us which was a couple minutes into our meal and never came back. No refills.
5. One thing I hate is when they are cleaning in the middle of our meal. Like, sweeping and mopping. Yes, that happened during our eat, smh.
6. Lastly, we waited so long for our check, my husband had to get up and ask for our check.
My husband is good at tipping. 10% at the least and 20% at the most depending on the service. We didn’t leave any tip. We left so pissed off. I don’t know what happened to that place and I don’t care because I am not going back there ever again. If ever, I will be going to the Long Beach location.

service is horrible! there are several empty tables but still a 2 hour wait. half of the restraunt was empty. the waiter are extremely lazy and rude. management should be fired immediately. i have already made a report to bbb. i should have read the previous reviews prior to my visit to avoid such a horrible experience.

Everything always goes perfect i guess today was just not my day my fries where horrible my server gladly replaced the first ones and offered me several things but my seconds fries looked the same so since i work at wingstop i know something went wrong in the preprocces of making the fries. I know everything cant alwaya be perfect but my server YOLANDA had the best customer service and she did her best to make sure i was satisfied even tho i didnt enjoy the fries i enjoyed her service. Great job well done please let her know she is doing her job correctly. HAPPY FATHERS DAY.

Food is great but the service is horrible! Had to ask for plates and utensils after all our food was delivered, the waitress didn’t even bring enough plates for the amount of people that we had in our party. Had to ask a second time for more plates. She never came back to take drink refills or check to see if we needed anything else. Had to ask twice for the check and the box to box up left overs. She was more interested in chair chatting than serving her customers. Sat near the kitchen, the chefs kept ringing the bell to get food picked up. We saw food sit there for over 10 minutes before it would go out. Management really needs to do something about it

Bring your own chairs and munchies… You will have to wait between half hour to 45 minutes to get seated. Waiting area seats are completely full due to customers guess what? Waiting. Since the wait is soooo long the munchies will cut your appetite. Yes, it really is beating a dead horse when it comes to there service and Customer Service.
Good luck to you if you believe the wait is 15 minutes.

We came in here late at night right after my sons graduation and wait time was very minimal. Our server Gabby was amazing, she really took care of us. Most places are very non attentive to their customers but Gabby always kept our drinks full. 5 stars for her alone. The reason for only 4 stars for the review is the restaurant was a little dirty possibly due to it being late at night but as soon as you walked in the floor was nasty.
Food however was awesome like usual the fruit inside your drink is always amazing. Pizza was cheesy and delicious. If you order wings get them with Arlenes Sauce, its not on the menu but so good.

The restaurant is new york style and themed, pizza is amazingly good, their hot wings are the best i have ever had from anywhere i have ever been. I recommend this place, you may have to wait a while, but what good restaurants dont have a wait? The menu is very clean and simple also. Cool place to be with friends and family.

Food is alright, only thing that sucked the most was the salty fries and the service. 5 in my party. We were getting ready to bounce. No check yet, no refills, and guess what? No tip that’s what they got. The manager was sweeping when we were eating wth? Long beach is the best location I’ve been to, but these people suck. They don’t care about customer service and food quality.

Worst experience ever!!! I usually go to the Montebello one but since this one is close to my school I decided to go with my 5 year-​old son and my boyfriend. We waited to be seated for about 35+. There were also other guest who were waiting to be seated that left. About 5 people (not including myself) left due to the wait. I saw this couple who were complain because they had made a reservation and they still had to wait and they were there before us so I can imagine how frustrated they were. The employees where completely disrespectful to the point where this pregnant girl who was working there was rolling her eyes because I had asked to be seated in a booth rather to sit in a table for 2 while she tried squishing in another chair for my child. She was rolling her eyes and asked why I couldn’t sit there. I then asked her why she couldn’t have us seated at a booth which let me tell you were ALL available except for the first one. She then gave me attitude and told me to go sit down and wait again. My child even asked me why she was being mean so my boyfriend then told her she shouldn’t be giving attitude nor be rude towards us when we simply asked to be seated in another area where we can all eat in peace. So we ended up leaving. After we left we ended up going to Montebello one where we told them about our experienced and even our waitress told us that they get a lot of customers who complain about this location and their employees. This is not worth the drive, my patience, and especially NOT MY MONEY!!!
Stay away from this place and just head to the Montebello location, they have way better service than this one.

Great food, great service. The wait was supposed to be over an hour and we were called after 30 minutes. Wait time for the food was very little as well. Our waitress helped us figure out how many wings and pizzas we should order since it was 9 of us. Super friendly and professional.

The food is worth the wait. The wings are BOMB and the burgers are crafty. I get what people say about the service but being kind goes a long way! Wasn’t that bad, lol.

Arrived on a Tuesday evening and was hit with a 45 minute wait. An entire section was closed off and there was at least 5 families waiting ahead of us. Please explain how a section could be closed off when that many people are waiting? This is bad business operations!

Service ** Get a clue management learn how to manage a restaurant and schedule enough waiters.
Yesterday it took my party of two over one hour and a half to get seated. Ordering TO GO cross my mind. Seemed like a faster alternative but since I am not from the area and choose not eat in my car. I took the long route and waited semi patiently.
I felt bad for the hostess although I was giving her the stank eye over the long wait. She had to manage the dining room with few waiters. Booths were open and the back section was closed. I was already boiling up because I was «hangry».
Once seated we had to wait some more. It took 40 mins to get an order of six wings with side of fries and a individual pizza.
Waiter was not attentive I was flagging him down for ketchup, refills and the check. I don’t blame the waiter but I believe he could have shown a little more sense of urgency. He was probably just waiting on to many tables.
I am just glad the food wasn’t terrible.

This visit to Alondra Hot Wings was an ok one. The service was a bit slow and a little off but ok in the end.
This was my first time having the Arlene flavor wings. This flavor is on a secret menu so unless you know of it, you’ll miss it. This is probably the best flavor I’ve had here next to the chili lime wings. The Alcatraz pizza which is just a pepperoni pizza with double the pepperoni is also the best pizza I’ve had here so far. I’d choose this over the Don pizza. It was greasy but very delicious.
Garlic parmesan fries were ordered to go along with this. I’ve always liked the taste of the fries and the thickness of them so all was good there.
Besides the minor service issue, this was a good outing on a Thursday. Nothing great happened to influence a better score nor nothing drastic to decrease my score which still leaves it at three stars for me.
Dinner 4÷21÷2016

I was craving the pastrami pizza so we came here. We ordered half pastrami/​pepperoni and sausage. It was pretty good being that I have never tried the pastrami pizza before. Would I get it again… Maybe not but at least I tried it. I love their wings. They have a bunch of suave. I think we’ve tried almost all even the atomic but I only asked to taste the sauce and it was HooooT!!!
This is the first time I have tries their pizza and now I want more!

Sorry its long but after reading you will understand.
I will begin with rating this one star only because the food has always been great.
I went on April 15, 2016 a Friday night around 9pm waited for about an hour and 15 minutes for a table. (That is a usual amount of time to wait) im not too bothered about that. Its ok.
Its kinda annoying seeing a couple empty tables with empty dishes and trash and not been catered to especially with a line out the door and people wanting seats. Thats was kinda bothers me
After finally being called for my party (party of 4 people)
We were escorted by a medium to small frame Hispanic «waitress» (no racial im Hispanic and look whiter then ever) to the back with a half table half booth. A family member asked me if we could ask them to issue us a full booth. When we asked, we were told «No, those are only for parties of 5 or more». (WOW didnt think she would tell us a straight no.)
Taken back we asked if they could make an exception this time? (I couldn’t believe we even had to ask)
She shrugged her shoulders and threw half her body to slouch on the empty bar stool near her, gave a big sigh and appeared to be soooooooo annoyed by us asking she replied «I guess I can ask but your gonna have to wait»
At that point we were like wow… That body language and disrespect was uncalled for. We just asked a simple question pretty much if we could just have an empty table.
We passed by a total of 3 empty booths one with a sigh taped to the table that said «do not seat –management» fine maybe its broken thats understandable again not mad about that l. But the other two???
So then she continued and said «sooo what do you want to do???» so we asked «well how much longer is gonna be?»
Still with her slouching on the bar stool, her annoyed face, and another big sigh she goes «i dont know… Pshh maybe 20 minutes»
Like seriously were all just standing there having a full conversation about this.
Were starving so we just said alright whatever and we sat there where she pointed.
Again still bothered by her actions we requested our server to call the manager over.
He said ok if there was anything he could help us with we said no its ok theres multiple reasons we wanna address the manager with.
He left, came back, and said manager was busy and he will come when he’s free.
He asked us if we wanted to order.
We didn’t want to at that moment because we thought we were going to be moved.
Finally after maybe 10 minutes of waiting the manager comes (a tall african american male) we addressed our concerns about her disrespect and asked him if he could move us.
Im not kidding you… He too shrugged his shoulders and said there was nothing he could do about it. And that it was our fault for sitting down and if we hadnt then «maybe» there was something he could do, but we are going against the seating policy. (A damn seating policy really)
But all he can do now is put us back in line. (To wait another hour plus)
He stated he puts his full trust in his associates. I informed him, he should probably not because she acted like she didn’t need this job or something.
We also informed him of a flickering light above us which he looked up and said nothing about it.
Regardless to say NOTHING was done for us. We had to sit there or be punished.
I also felt punished because for some reason my 25 pc wings came out in like 3minutes before any of our drinks or any other food.
The wings were cold as if placed literally in the freezer (touched the ends of bones it was not even room temp, it was cold)
Gave us about 6 carrots no celery.
My aunt asked if the michelada was a pre made drink or could she pick the type of beer to use.
The waiter said it was not pre made and she was not allowed to change the beer. Thats funny because when it did come it was watered down and tasted just like the pre made can.

now i know not to ask any questions or ill be punished with horrible food and service…

This place has really gone down the drain. Use to come about 3 times a month, but today was my last time. Done. Every time we came it got worse and worse with each visit. Either the staff got more and more rude or the food got nastier and nastier.
Today we got the waiter named Michael. He got our order wrong. He only checked on us once the whole visit we were there, obviously didn’t refill our drinks when needed.
We ordered many things including the chicken mushroom Alfredo pasta, but we asked for no mushroom. Of course they gave it to us with mushroom so we sent it back. They brought a «new» one but it was so disgusting. It’s supposed to be creamy but it was watery! We sent it back and asked for another. We got a «new» one but it lacked flavor.
And they bring all the food at different times, so you can’t eat together because the first plate will be cold by the time the last one comes.
The restaurant itself could use some MAJOR upgrading. Everything is dirty. Don’t bother taking a stroller because you will have to wait longer to get the only table that accommodates one.
Seats sink in. Tables are high. Staff is rude.

Decided to venture to Paramount and have dinner at Alondra Hot Wings. We arrived, and was told that the wait was 30 mins, which was fine, but the 30 minutes turned into 45 minutes. I didn’t understand the wait, when clearly there were tables that were unoccupied.
Finally… the host lead us to our booth, he did it with so much enthusiasm (Insert sarcasm) and handed us our menus. He then asked what we wanted to drink, I told him I wanted the root beer, only to be told, that he wasn’t sure that they still served root beer or Dr. Pepper because they no longer carried the product. Okay… then why do you still have it on the menu?
Ordered the 16 piece wings with the fries and onion rings. I kid you not, our order came with in 3 minutes flat! That was a record. But wait… the lemon pepper wings were so dry, that if you scratched yourself with it, you would leave a scar on your skin. The lime chile, was as cold as a cats nose (something my mother would say.) Let me tell you about the fries… it was laden with so much grease, that it became soggy. The same goes for the onion rings. Told our server, and he ordered us a new batch only to return with burnt onion rings, and fries.
Mind you, this was my first visit… and trust me MY LAST! NEVER AGAIN… First off, if you’re going to be in an industry where you interact with people, then you need to take classes in Customer Service. The same can be said for Management. Remember who pays your salary. The least you could do is smile and treat your customers with respect.
I can’t fathom… Waiting 45 minutes to be seated… only to be served food within 3 minutes, which was cold and inedible. Spend your hard earned monies elsewhere. Don’t waste it here.

I have been craving this place since my first visit because the food was literally mouth watering. I had to come back!
My second visit here, there were more people because it was a holiday but we were helped right away and seated within 15 – 20 mins. We ordered the same food I got last time and some other items. The wings are eh. I prefer wingstop to be honest. The pizza was also just okay. We had the «this thing of ours» pizza. The pasta however was DELICIOUS. My mom got some type of mushroom pasta thing and it was sooo good! The ranch blasted fries didn’t taste that great this time around. They were not fresh which really ruined the whole appetizer. The strawberry lemonade was a hit for me! YUUUM!
The service was pretty decent. Our waitress was really nice which I liked, seeing that many people have bad experiences with the service here. The waitress wasn’t as attentive, though. At least I got my craving out the way and probably won’t be craving it again, lol. I think this place is worth the try! They have so many things on their menu that I’m sure are super delicious. The second time around for me was not nearly as satisfying as I remember but if I’m ever in the area I’ll definitely come back. :)

I went here for my cousin’s birthday and we had a good time. Of course the thing to get here are the wings, which I really liked. better than Buffalo Wild Wings. We also had a few appetizers, mostly fry based. We had the buffalo ranch fries, which is basically fries smothered in buffalo ranch sauce. Soggy. it wasn’t a fave of mine.
Other than that, this spot has a totally sports bar feel, with the theme being old school New York; they showcase the infamous NY gangsters here. Friendly staff, yummy wings, cold beer. a good time! Thanks.
