Ray’s Barber Shop

Hey, it’s only 8 bucks. What’ya want? I go there because of the price and they razor unlike most «barber shops». Frank is the main guy for me but whoever is available works too.

You ever get a haircut in a trailer out in the dessert?
Well… come on down and experience how that would feel.
All that was missing is sand and cacti around here, but literally almost feels like walking through the door would yield a tumbleweed to fly across the floor and a one-​eyed bandit taking shots of tequila in the corner on the floor with a big sombrero.
The exterior looks like it’s weathered beyond its years and could use a paint job. Chances are, the dude running this place doesn’t care and I can agree. A barbershop should not be pretty and flashy. And I believe when I walked in, that this was their mantra.
In all seriousness, though, this place is small and cramped. All the barbers are pretty up there in their years. There was an over-​weight guy reading a newspaper just shooting the s#!t Also, the old tube TV was blasting a Mexican soccer game that I could’ve cared less for.
Their prices are decent. Can’t complain about the haircut.
I’m a bigger fan of old school ways of barbershops like this: not places with names like ‘Get Faded’ of ‘Stylish Cutz’. Call me old fashioned.

I’ve been going here a long time.
It’s getting worse and worse.
They keep loosing the good barbers.
I settled (big mistake) on a barber I knew was going to butcher it (my fault, I did it anyway). I asked for a Tapered cut #1 ½. He told me, why don’t we start at #2, I said ok.
What did I get, he buzzed my head with a #1. Half my head was buzzed before I told him, what happened to #2. OOPS, I thought I grabbed #2 (it was #1). Aaarrggg !!
I need a new barber. Anyone know a good one. HELP !!!

I’d give this place none stars if it were a choice. This is where washed up barbers go to retire. The only reason I stuck around to complete a haircut was to give them the benefit of the doubt. It’s messy, not clean at all. It’s disgusting. My hiarcut was not finished properly.
The barbers have no personality at all. I live a few blocks from this place. Neva eva eva eva eva eva gonna step inside this place again.
