Good selection of sneakers, plus I managed to pick up a great pair of grey flyknits which I have not been able to find this colour. One annoying factor about this store is the constant upselling techniques. I don’t need to be asked if I need socks orhave someone try force selling me different insoles for $ 120 sneakers. Also on walking in the store it does not make sense for an associate to ask me «Did you find everying you need?» I didn’t even have chance to step fully in the store. I do like this store though!

Word of advice for Foot Locker: When one is making a large purchase, said person does not want to be made to feel like a criminal. It sort of puts a damper on the mood. Went into Foot Locker to buy $ 1000 gift card for my nephews’ Bar Mitzvah gift. Back in the day when I was 13, $ 1000 at Foot Locker was a crap load of money. It probably would have bought me 50 pair of sneakers and left room for some t-shirts and maybe a jersey or two. These days it barely pays for 4 pair. Oh, well so goes inflation and marketing. Anyway, walked up to the counter, presented my Black Card and was met with a clueless stare by the otherwise friendly sales clerk. She called over the store manager who repeated much the same look. She explained to me that I couldn’t buy a $ 1000 gift card because ______. Well, there was no because; I just couldn’t. So she called THEREGIONALMANAGER. Once again dear reader, I am not a kid. I carry tons of ID and I was presenting a credit card with absolutely no spending limit whatsoever. After about a 15 minute phone pow wow with the regional manager, a look at my drivers license and a bunch of other IDs they graciously allowed me to make my purchase but there was a caveat… I had to break it into 2 separate transactions. WTF, really? Let’s say I was a criminal and was using a forged license, Am Ex and Batman Fan Club ID card, I have to figure that with a few brief key strokes they could obliterate the balance on the gift card and move happily forward. Instead, they pissed me off, wasted a bunch of my time, insulted me and made it that if I ever need new sneakers I will go anywhere but Footlocker.

They probably have the best sneaker selection in the Plaza. Don’t bother going to Footaction. Footaction may look like they have a lot of kicks, but they’re garbage. Foot Locker has the dopeness. Trust me on this. The best thing about the store is that its right next to an exit. Nothing beats an easy transaction and hopping in an out is super nice. No one likes a mall crowd…
