El Original Mexican Grill

After a long drive homeward to Aurora, we stopped at this restaurant in Parker. At 5:10 pm, we were the ONLY customers in the restaurant (which might tell you something right there). We ordered 2 meals, plus chips and a side order of beans. We arrived home, tired and hungry, only to find that all items were NOT in the bags. Come on! Empty restaurant, idle workers, only customers there and you can’t get 4 items right!!! We called to get our card credited (very reasonable to not pay for items you didn’t receive), and they refused, saying we’d have to come back in. Their mistake, and yet we are expected to drive 20 – 25 min. to get a refund!!! No thanks, we will definitely be disputing this with our credit card company!!!
Now, the food: it gets worse. I ordered meal #16, a cheese enchilada, beef burrito and a chile relleno. The cheese enchilada was empty as the cheese had seeped out (there was so little of it). The chile relleno was a soggy mess, no effort to separate it in a to-​go order, and most awful was that the cheese inside it was unmelted! It was still in a little wadded up ball of shredded cheese, as prepped, I guess — gross. The pepper itself was still hard. I fed this weird cheese ball to my dog who loved her unexpected treat. The beef burrito was bland, just ground beef in a tortilla, absolutely no flavoring or spiciness at all. The green chili topping was unforgiveably bland and tasteless. The other order was tacos, also very blah, no flavor, just beef on a corn tortilla, with very minute quantities of lettuce, guacamole and pico in the corner. Yuck. Sure won’t be back and advise others to think twice when there is so much quality food, service out there. Heck, I’d have preferred taco bell over this meal.

We used to go to the previous place here (Los volcanos) and it was acceptably average. It was a fair price to quality. (low price low quality) but still edible. But they went out of business. We decided to try the new named place: «El original Mexican grill» .Our first clue was not a single decoration thing changed inside, and there were no customers and it was dirtier. We should have left then. now the price is higher and the food is worse. I will say it again «really bad» basically inedible. The enchilada sauce is exactly spaghettio sauce from a can. The waitress and hostess totally knew what they were serving was crap. You could see it In their faces… The hostess actually said as we were leaving «pretty bad huh.?» Unbelievable. Just do yourself a favor and avoid montezumas revenge… find anywhere else to eat that you can… There is at least 2 other weak/​cheap mexi places in Parker and they are still lame but 100% better than this place

Everything was great, the food and the service were outstanding! I had the chimichanga, it was nice and crispy! The price are reasonable and very accommodating!

Great place. $ 10 lunch buffet Wednesday– Friday. Small salad bar, rice, beans, 6 entrees, 2 soups. Fast, friendly. Why eat fast food when you can have a sit down hot meal.

The service here is really attentative and the only reason I didn’t rate this a 1. I am a huge green chili fan and theirs is just a bland, lukewarm slop. I don’t have super high standards, just be somewhat tastey. This is not at all tasty. No flavor, no spice, no redeemable qualities at all. Won’t be visiting here again.

Came here last night for my moms birthday dinner with my grandparents because I used to be a big fan of Los volcanoes and now it’s sadly changed to this.
We were sat quickly and looked over the menu and received one chips and salsa. Once the 5 of us finished it off it was never refilled so we asked for more and were only brought chips. The waiter took our order and wrote nothing down — red flag number one. Then came back in 5 minutes to make sure our order was right while he repeated everything to us missing things here and there with it. Red flag number 2 he came back again and forgot my grandmas meal and re asked what she ordered. Our food was out within 20 minutes and my dad was missing green chili and I was missing Spanish rice. — red flag number 3. Then there were close to no beans on my tostada and it wasn’t very good just bland and flavorless.
Personally I wouldn’t recommend going if you want good Mexican food.

Sat there for 20 minutes with no service. Stopped the waitress and asked her for at least pop and chips and salsa. Never got help. got up and walked out.

I absolutely love this place great service! I love there chips and salsa but my favourite plate there is shrimp fajitas! They have there best breakfast burritos so much food for only two dollars

My family and i are brand new to the area. We went to El Original for the first time today. We were the only people there and it still took quite awhile for drinks, ordering, etc. The main reason for our 1 star review was that the food is terrible. It tasted plain as day, i got the chicken fajita burrito and I’m pretty sure the chicken was boiled. Super nasty. On top of that, we ordered cheese dip with our chips. Not only was it literally melted velveeta in a dish, it was wildly overpriced. The meals were below average and it was crazy expensive for the quality. You’re better off going to Chipotle for half the price. Needless to say we won’t be returning, ever.
