McDonalds

3 Words. CHECK YOUR FOOD. I’ve been going to this McDonalds (less and less and merely because of its convenient location) for about 6 years and I honestly think they get my order right about ¼ times. This place is awful though I gave it two stars because «USUALLY» when you tell them they screwed up, they fix the situation with free food. Not always.

This McDonald’s is local. It’s close. Right in the middle of everything by my house. That’s the best part about it. I don’t ever really eat food at McDonald’s (occasionally breakfast), so I can’t say much about that.
I come here 3 – 4 times a month to get coffee in the morning before school. I like it because it’s cheap, and a lot faster than brewing a pot myself. The line is never super long. The coffee is always good and it’s never a hassle.
I’ve been to this McDonald’s for lunch a few times before, it’s okay. The line gets super long around midday, so be prepared to wait. All of the high schoolers come here during the school year because it’s cheap, so it gets pretty crowded inside and out. The food is okay, blah blah blah. McDonald’s isn’t some super fancy restaurant, it’s fast food people! Everyone is going to have a bad experience with McDonald’s.
Be careful not to scrape the pole in the drive-​thru, I’ve seen so many people do that! it’s actually pretty bad, there’s even a sign that warns you about the pole and people still scrape it.
A bonus of this McDonald’s: There’s also a gas station in it.
A con of this McDonald’s: It’s not 24 hours. That’s pretty unfortunate because they close at midnight. They aren’t even open late.
Bottom Line: It’s fast food. If you’re wanting a quality meal, go somewhere else. If you’re looking for a cheap fast meal, here is the place to come.

I’ve had a series of bad experiences at this location before I decided I simply cannot return. Wrong orders, cold coffee, and finally an egg McMuffin that stank to high hell. I think the friers and other kitchen equipment must not be very clean in order for food to come out stinking like this. I complained on their website and never heard back.
Also, I you can sometimes see rolls of flypaper hanging from the ceiling in the summer. Icky.

This is definitely not a great McDonalds. The staff is made up of Spanglish-​only workers, and the usual, «Hi, Welcome to McDonalds…» is replaced with a «Yeah?» or «Order when you’re ready». That’s the kiss of death for suburban fast food joints — we’re used to a higher level of greeting. Just sayin’.
The only two redeeming qualities of this place is that you know what your order is going to taste and look like when you drive away and they’re a bit faster than the other fast food joints in the area.

Go somewhere else. I visit this McDonalds near my house 4 – 5 times a year and I consistently get LESS food or CHEAPER menu items than I paid for. Given how rarely I visit and how often it happens I am quite certain they are substituting cheaper items to cheat customers. We have lived in Stonegate for 12 years and this McDonalds has been there the whole time. The fact that I had to add it to Unilocal tells me that the owners don’t like Unilocalers giving them bad reviews. There are NO END of fast-​food options in Stonegate, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
