With new management comes cheaper service and poor quality food. The Celtic House used to be a great place for some GOOD Irish food. .. not now. The service was slow and the food is frozen, not freshly made. Popping it into a microwave doesn’t make the dish«freshly made»! I ordered the Shepard’s Pie. This was a processed food item, not made in their kitchen. The pie was taken out of the freezer, removed from the box and placed in the microwave. The dish was extremely hot around the edges, too hot to eat, yet still cold in the center. After several tries, hey wait staff, it’s not the microwaves fault. Disgusting! On top of that the food is over-priced! The Celtic House used to be a favorite place of mine, now I won’t return. It’s a shame, the original Celtic House WAS great.

430 on a Friday afternoon and no food available. Cook doesn’t start until 6pm. The waitress was really nice, but I don’t understand why the kitchen is closed on Friday afternoon. To be fair, the waitress did offer to drop some mozzerella sticks into the deep fryer for us, but somehow that just doesn’t seem very celtic to me.

Pretty bad. Dropped in for lunch, because my friend and I were craving fish and chips. Thought an Irish bar would surely have decent ones even if they weren’t the best. Absolutely awful. Frozen fish fillets and ruffles potato chips. Seriously? Can’t imagine anything else being worth a try if they can’t even get this halfway right. Go to Long John Silver’s instead… you’ll be happier… no joke.

Absolute worst place I have EVER been in! My extra dirty martini came in an extra DIRTY martini glass! My olives tasted like dust from the filthy glass! When I showed the bartender my glass he said, «Yea, that’s a dirty martini!» Then he took everyone else’s order and walked away without taking mine! Terrible customer service! My friends and I had to walk up to the bartender when we needed a drink! Just poor service and dirty place! No more Happy Hours for these Stonegate girls!

I have been in the pub several times since the new owners purchased in last March. 2014. They have turned this place around. It is now like my little Cheers Bar in Parker. Friendly staff, homemade food, and plenty of activities always going on. Try it out, the owners have worked really hard turning it into a real celtic pub.

I have to say after reading the other reviews I am a little confused if we all went to the same spot. I walked in and was greeted right away but very friendly staff. I sat down and was able to hold a conversation just fine and the shepherds pie was amazing! Like I wanted to order another one right after I ate it amazing! I have to say there are a lot of haters out there and while it may have taken a tiny bit for the new owners to get their footing they are knocking it out of the park now. I have gone back a few times and the Guinness fish and chips are stellar too.

My wife and I decided to try this place out on a whim. As others have mentioned, the noise level was pretty high(the Oregon St. Vs. Stanford football game was on) and the wait/bar staff were hard to differentiate from the patrons. They messed up our drink order, but were quick to correct the mistake. The menu isn’t large and the selection is of standard pub fare(a good thing in some respects, meaning they might do the few things on the menu very well). My wife ordered the fish & chips and I ordered a dozen hot wings. When I asked about a small side of fries, the waitress informed us that they didn’t serve fries and had ‘pub chips’ instead. Hmm… Okay. That should’ve been flag two as the ‘chips’ in fish & chips are essentially fries. Sure enough, when we received our food the chips were nothing but ‘refried’ ruffles potato chips(seriously, how lazy is that!?). The fish was terrible(not cooked well) and the wings were not far behind(very substandard in my opinion). The waitress was the only saving grace of this place. Terrible food, inept bar staff and(to be honest), a pretty lousy atmosphere. I would not recommend it.

After reading the recent reviews about the new management, my wife and I decided to give this place a try. We were greeted by blaring recorded music that made conversation all but impossible. The menu had maybe eight items on it, only two of which had any tie-in to Irish food — and they were out of one of the Irish dishes. After being promptly greeted by the seemingly only employee /bartender, we never received a return visit to our table so we could order. We left before ordering food, so I cannot comment on its quality. Based on our experience, we will not visit this place again.

The Celtic House Pub used to be our local hangout, but due to poor management, we’d found other places to go. However, a couple of months ago, we stopped in on a whim and found that there are new owners who really care about the place and their patrons, and have been turning the Pub into the place it was meant to be. I give it 4 stars only because their menu is very limited, although good. Great little hangout with bartenders who pay attention and owners who make you feel at home.

I have driven by this place hundred of times(no exaggeration). However, I had never crossed the threshold until March 17th this week. A friend had invited me down for an afternoon libation of holiday celebration. I obliged and was glad that I did. The place was hopping, the service was fine, and the prices were not unreasonable(on beer or Irish Whiskey). I stuck with the Lone Tree Brewing Irish Red they were pouring. They also had Coors Light that had been dyed nuclear green if one were so inclined. There was corned beef and cabbage and potatoes in the corner for those feeling peckish(I was not). Nothing was amazing enough to warrant 4 stars, but my experience on this day was definitely 3 +.

This place has really gone down hill. Went in last week with a friend to catch a beer after work. Walked into the strong stench of bleach. Ordered a beer in a bottle, could only imagine what may be growing in taps. Waitress was super eager to try and get us drunk, «what no shots for you boys» etc. I watch bar rescue regularly and think Celtic would be a great candidate for the show.

A couple friends and I dropped in the Celtic last night and I have to say, I’m impressed with the new owners! They were very nice and appreciate the people who come in. I can’t rate the food since I didn’t have any but I can definitely say that the drink prices weren’t too shabby! When I walked in, there was a band jammin’ out and regulars hanging out drinking their steam. I didn’t find it difficult at all to fire up conversation and the bar tenders were responsive to the«empty handed queue». I see there are some Unilocalers who are loyal to the previous owners but I think if you give it a shot, you might find that the Celtic has the potential for greatness!

New owners. Once a great local bar with fabulous owners who loved and appreciated their staff as well as customers, this place has changed. While the façade is the same and much of the items inside are still there. The atmosphere is not the same. Gone are Mike and Denise, Doug and Toni… Keep in mind, this place was always a «bar» with a tiny kitchen. It was the atmosphere and friendliness of the owners that brought people in and created a community of family that still support one another today. Many of the original staff are gone, and lots of the regulars have been turned off by the new owners. Give them 6 months, then maybe go back and see what they are able to do.

First time here — had a great Reuben Sandwich! The band Big Paddy was terrific! Comfy bar for the locals in Parker. Kind of a Cheers thing going on — Everyone seemed to know each other.

Last weekend, I made my way down to Parker to support a friend’s band; the Celtic House Pub was hosting the event. Although it’s located in a strip mall, I’ve come to know that strip malls don’t always harbor horrible things. Some of my favorite places in the greater Denver metro area are in strip malls. So I was hoping, just a little bit, that the previous reviews were a little off or harsh. (Okay, so admittedly, the following paragraphs have no connection with the location of CHP being in a strip mall…) Sadly, or more importantly, the reviews were correct: although the bar itself had a lot of potential(Irish fare and my favorite beer, Kilkenny), the service left something to be desired. Before the bands even began to play, we waited ages to be served, even at the bar where there were three bartenders. Our food order got stuck in limbo and probably didn’t arrive until nearly an hour after we placed it and two beers down the gullet. I was full from the liquid calories when the food arrived(chicken tenders, fries, and fried mac and cheese wedges), but from what I was able to graze on, it was decent bar food. The Celtic House Pub has some serious potential, but they don’t seem to be prepared for a high influx of patrons, thus, dishing out some pretty sloppy service.

We went to Celtic because we saw that a Texas Hold ‘Em poker event was taking place. The bar/pub was dirty and the beer from the tap — warm. The poker event? Clearly local and we were not treated well. Very unfriendly. I am being forced to enter a rating before I can save. One star — but note — it doesn’t even desrve that.

Went here for a couple days ago. Got the shepards pie & a few stronbows. So excited they have my drink! Havent been able to find it anywhere except Las Vegas. The food was ok, didnt like the cheese on the shepards pie & its mostly mashed potatos which was a bummber because what little veg & meat was on there was really tasty. Got great service from 4 – 6 but then a lot of people came & if you arent sitting at the bar you arent noticed. I will go back & try some other food items.

Met a few friends for drinks here… nothing fancy, just your usual irish bar. I do love the internet connected juke box though. Drinks were a’right. Waiters and bar tenders were waay too busy(to be fair, it was a Friday). We had planned to get some drinks and go to dinner elsewhere… but it was like pulling teeth getting anyone’s attention. Oh well. The jalapeño fritters were good(very, very hot). They also had something called a Celtic knot(filled pretzel) which was pretty delish. Both came with ranch in a box… seriously? ranch in a sauce box? hmmm…

I really wanted to love this bar since I’m an Irish redhead and all, but I really can’t. The drinks are pricey, the food all frozen, deep fat fried, it takes too long to get it, waitresses are kinda snobbish and take their time getting you a drink. They often have decent bands come but it’s so small that the normal sized speakers BLAST you like you are going through an spaceflight simulator. They outside area they have is pretty much taken over by smokers and since it’s right by the doors to get in you have to dig through the smoke to get in. Disappointing. Looks cool inside though and the do have a dartboard.
