This used to be one of my favorite stands when it used to be Mi-T-Fine, and I started coming here under the new name last year. Last year was great, but it’s gone down-hill. I don’t know if it’s a rush to compete with more slushy product like Rita’s, but the last few times I’ve gotten soupy, syrupy, drenched snowballs. You’re wasting product and ruining a snowball. Maybe a child would like a cup full of syrup, but the way I remember snowballs(and the way I want them) is crushed ice — large granules, and just enough syrup to make you want more. The current product is a soupy cup of shaved ice and goo. No good, and I’m not going back.

Friendly Snowball is a cute little snowball place off of Joppa Road — they have a variety of flavors(including ‘premium’ and ‘diet’ flavors for the health-conscious), including Blood Orange, Banana Banchee, Peach Melba, Thin Mint, and Snickers. I tried their Raspberry Cordial(tasted like Tylenol syrup/grenadine) and the Coconut Cabana with marshmallow(basically, topped with a melted marshmallow layer on top) — it was definitely a sweeter version of the coconut syrup(you could also request extra pumps of the syrup if you wish). Don’t be afraid to ask for samples — they are quite generous in giving you large amounts for you to try the different flavors they have. The employee was very sweet and friendly, and they accept both cash and card. Some tables and chairs are also available for you to sit and enjoy your cold treat. +Kiddie, Small, Medium, Large, and Jumbo sizes +can request extra pumps of the syrup +generous samples(!!!) +some outside seating available

Why do I enjoy Baltimore County so much? Snowballs. Friendly Snowball is a pretty solid option for snowballs. This place has a decent variety, and it is convienently located near places where you can grab dinner prior to snowball devouring. If you’re in the mood for a snowball and happen to be in the area, check it out.

I love this snowball stand. They offer so many flavors, including diet flavors. They have picnic tables in front of the stand for people to sit and eat. Just keep an eye on little children because this stand sits right on Joppa road. The only thing dividing the snowball stand and the road, is a sidewalk.

So many flavors!!! And usually so many kids so it’s not usually the most relaxing experience to sit at the few tables they have. While the snowballs are very good(good ratio of ice to flavor), the service is somewhat slow because there’s usually only one person there at a time.

I wouldn’t exactly call myself a snowball fan. In Northeastern PA, snowcones(as they’re call up yonder) are just not that big of deal. Typically it’s a scoop of ice in a tiny white paper cone where all the red or blue syrup sinks to the bottom and you have to chomp your way through plain ice shards in order to finally drink the watery flavoring at the end. Why would anyone opt for that? But, I have seen the light thanks to Friendly Snowball. This stand has a plethora of flavors to choose from but the only one you really need to know about is Blood Orange. It is phenomenal! Trying to describe it won’t do it justice, so just jump in car now to pick one up. Plus, you can walk away with a Big Gulp-sized snowball, swimming in the tasty syrup, for just a couple of dollars. Woohoo! Delicious, refreshing, won’t break the bank. Oh and did I mention how super nice the staff is? Well, they are. What on earth are you waiting for? Get here now.
