Had a good experience yesterday. Lorenzo in customer service helped me with a price match that Sears had at a lower price online with free delivery. Initially he tried to tell me that their price match policy only covers in stock in store and not online deals. When I asked the difference between in stock in store and delivered to my front door for free he fixed the price. Very pleasant experience, and great customer service.

Home Depot a fantastic store for clay pots, plants, paint, etc. But when you call prior to coming in, asking for a specific product, and you are told they have that product, and then come in, and nobody in the store can find the product the person over the phone said they had in stock, well, that just pisses me off. But if it were to stop there, then I probably wouldn’t be sitting in my car in their parking lot, writing this review. Bait and Switch. The bait is when they say they have what you want, but when you get there, they don’t, and try to sell you something that is twice as much as you had originally planned(or budgeted) to spend. But if it were to stop there, well, I’d say I’m pretty sure there are laws that make this an offense — of some sort. But when they start getting nasty with the customer then you just have to walk out and never come back. So after spending an hour, trying to figure out what was going on, with various other employees who were genuinely trying to help, the manager(when he finally agreed to appear) was summoned. So he wanted to know who I had spoken to on the phone — so now I’ll be sure to keep track of that. But it gets even worse. «I can’t help you,» he said, «if I don’t know who you talked to.» «But you’re the manager,» I said. «Do you know how many employees I have working here?» And I’m thinking … Do I really need to know that? «I have 40 people working here!» «But you’re the manager,» I said. «That’s your job. To figure it out.» «So you want me to go around the store and ask everybody if they were the one who answered the call?» Oh, fuck! Why is this happening? «No,» I said. «I just want you to find out who did it. Who answered the call, and who said, «Yeah, we have 5000BTU portable air conditioners with a dehumidifier for $ 139.» To which I replied: «Great! I’ll be there in a bit.» And that’s when I accused them of Bait and Switch, and he then said: «THAT’S not Bait and Switch.» And then went on to repeat EXACTLY what I had just said, and he said: «THAT’S Bait and Switch.» Needless to say, it was a bad experience. And I just had had another really bad experience recently, and which I wrote about, as well. But the question I keep asking myself is: «Who is the mad one here? Is it all me? Is it actually JUST me, or this crazy world we live in?» Luckily, another customer who I had talked to earlier, a License Inspector with the city of Baltimore, witnessed the entire incident, and found me sitting in my car, writing this review. «You’re a fighter.» he said to me. Well, here’s to you, Commander! (That’s REALLY his name!) Thanks!

Okay… 10 trips this time. I wish I had found Mike in Plumbing(and taken pictures of my project) on maybe trip 5 or 6… anway the sink is in and looks great. You just have to find the right help. They still overall have a challenge in this area– but eventually you«get a guy».

I have been using this HD for over 20 years now. It is one of the few better ones out there. Not too hard to find things, and the staff are pretty good. Good stock of items as well.

Look my problem is that my husband left home for a mid-range price dehumidifier and came back with the most expensive one there!!! Apparently the mid-range ones were not in stock. Booooo. I really don’t belive that. There are about 7 mid-range price dehumidifiers they offer. None of them were in stock!!! Hmmmm.

You would think since home depot has many stores service would be great at all of them Wrong!!! Although they had a wide variety of vanities which I am currently on the search for. Not once did any employee approach me to ask me if I needed help? Thank god I knew what the heck I was looking for.

I go to quite a few Home Depot/Lowes so I know what I’m talking about when I tell you this location should be closed. And burned down. And never spoken of again. WOW, where to begin! I believe the ENTIRE staff is on work-release from San Quentin(Can you wear your pants around your ankles while on duty?). The only words I usually understand from the employees are cuss words(same for my 10 year-old cousin). Not ONE of the employees has ever been of any use to me. I am almost literally patted down when I leave after checking out, AFTER the security guard watched me the entire time I was checking out. The shelves take weeks to re-stock(Trust me, I’ve gone back just for shits-and-giggles to see if something simple I was looking for was ever replaced– and it was NOT). I truly fear for my life sometimes in this Home Depot location. Unless you just need something simple(Thumb tack, hammer), go to the one on Joppa Road. Better selection, better staff.

This Home Depot is easily my favorite of all of the Baltimore-area Home Depots. The parking is always relatively easy, and the check out lines are usually not obscene, at least if you use the contractor line to check out & load your vehicle. The shopping-center-only exit on Perring Parkway allows you to get to Home Depot without dodging all the super market shoppers.
