I’ve been going to Maggie for facials for many years. Her extensive experience has made her extremely knowledgeable when it comes to skincare. She is very gentle with my face, and I LOVE that she isn’t always pushing me to buy expensive new products. The atmosphere in the salon is very friendly and comfortable. A great experience overall!!!

I called 1202 salon and got an appointment the same day with Fredy, the gods were definitely in my favor! I walked in with copper orange hair, and wanted a dark brown with grey ombré. I honestly don’t know how he and his team did it but they gave me an almost perfect result while keeping the integrity of my hair! I could not have been happier with the results and the amount of time and effort they put into me. Even though we were there two hours after the salon closed, I never once felt rushed. I have nothing but great things to say about this place. I would recommend this salon to anybody and everybody. These people love what they do and it definitely shows through their work! Thank you again so much Fredy and the two girls who helped him(I’m sorry I don’t recall your names), it could not have been better!

I left in tears. Twice. As many woman know, getting your hair done can leave you feeling like Beyoncé or Shrek. All I wanted for Christmas was to get ombré done on my hair and a sassy cut to get rid of my dead ends. I was excited when my mom purchased a Groupon for Fredy Arboleda at this salon because many reviews from his old salon Bottega were wonderful. My sister and I both showed up on time to our appointment on time, the gracious hostess offered us refreshments, we said no, but I wish we hadn’t because we then proceeded to wait over a half an hour for a consultation. Through out the appointment we were shuffled in between him and his two assistants. His assistants were nice to their core and would later do their best to comfort me. He touched my hair for all of 20 minutes during the 4 hour appointment. Anyway, I noticed through out the coloring process they’re were a lot of streaks happening with the highlighting, but I’m not an expert so I stayed quiet. He did tell me he wasn’t going to be able to take me as blonde as the picture I brought in, but I was okay with that. It wasn’t until my hair was being dried that I realized there was a series of highlights striping the top of my head. Not even close to the ombré I was expecting. I expressed my concerns with Fredy immediately but he clearly took offense and told me that is «just how he ombrés.» I’m sorry, but if a customer asks for something, something you won’t be able to produce, be honest, don’t just have an arts and crafts session on someone’s head. Especially not someone who can only afford to get their hair done once a year. As I began to tear up, assistants from all around the salon came over overjoyed with how beautiful it looked and how«they are next!!» At this point I was just insulted. This was the most attention I received the entire appointment. Fredy kept insisting this was the hair style every girl wants, and this is what I asked for, I even paid $ 50 extra dollars on top of the Groupon to receive the color I desired. It was a hot mess. $ 50 wasted. And now I’m here sitting in the chair for a second day, basically being ignored, Fredy is still insulted and hasn’t touched me once during the«correction» appointment, and his assistant tells me it’s such a shame I’m dying my hair back. It’s two and a half hours into my appointment and all they can do is dye my hair back to its original color. This is the worst salon experience I have ever had. I understand that a Groupon was used and that means I’ll be receiving a discounted haircut, but I believe I should receive the same quality coloring and style. Anyway, I can’t wait to get out of this salon. Right now I’m waiting for another«assistant»(to me it seems like they do all the work) to finish my hair, Fredy blow dried it for me. It’s nice and BROWN, basically what I walked in with day 1. So after two appointments, six hours, one hair stylist, two assistants, about 6 different chairs, a Groupon and $ 50 out of pocket, I have a cute cut, the same color, a salon that can’t wait for me to leave, and I’m very disheartened and disappointed. Fredy offered me 50% off my next cut but if it wasn’t already clear, I won’t be coming back.

Had a really great first experience here, although I checked in under their old name Bottega so I didn’t get see the first time client discounts until now, but regardless, Chelsea did an amazing job. We had a great conversation and she did an awesome job with my hair. I live literally a block away from this place so it’s very convenient. I will definitely be back to see Chelsea and I would highly recommend her and this salon.

ughh… Where do I start. I was really looking forward to my appointment with Freddy when I booked it. I had been waiting to get my hair done for some months and when I saw the Groupon ad online I jumped to the opportunity to make an appointment. When I called the salon they told me that I could purchase the same package through them without going through Groupon so I agreed since I didn’t care how I got the deal. The deal was hair cut and full head color for 61 dollars(not a bad price at all). I arrived at the salon 10 minutes early. I checked in with the receptionist and she told me that I would be helped within a few minutes. Since I came early I really didn’t mind waiting, however they didn’t just make me wait the 10 minutes, I was there for over half an hour before they took me to the Freddy. They apologized for keeping me waiting so I didn’t make it a big deal, but sadly this was just the start of my not so good experience. Once I met with Freddy I told him that I brought in my extensions and I wanted to know how much it would cost to dye them as well(I wear my hair clipins often). He told me that we would discuss that later and that we should just focus on first doing my hair. I showed him a photo of a dark red head and told him that this was the color that I really wanted to imitate. He made it seem like there would be no problem and that the color was easy to pull off. Fyi I came in with light brown hair. He passed me over to his assistant who applied the color to my head. I assumed he would be doing the work but I guess not. The girl barely spoke to me however seemed kind. Once she was done applying the hair color Freddy came cut my hair and once again passed me to another one of his assistants who then styled my hair. It was then that I came to see that my hair was not red at all but a different shade of brown. I could barley notice a difference in my hair. I asked the women who was blow drying my hair what hair color I had just to assure I wasn’t the only one who noticed it wasn’t red and she confirmed«umm its like a darker shade of brown». Although the hair color was not what I wanted I realized that the mistake had already been made and my best bet was to just redo it myself in a few months. I asked her if they would dye my hair clip ins like I asked at the start to match the darker shade of brown and she said she didn’t know. I asked Freddy and he tired to convince me not do it but I was persistent that the clip ins had to be dyed. He told me that if I really wanted it he would do it but they would have to keep it over night since they were to busy to do it right at the moment. So basically I would have to come back another day to pick them up, this was too inconvenient for me and decided not do it. When I got the register to pay for the hair service I was told that they wanted to charge me 75 for my hair. I told the lady that I was told I could get the Groupon price and she was confused as to why I had thought that, I didn’t want to argue back and forth so when they said they’d charge me 69 instead I agreed, at this point I just wanted to leave. I decided to not dye my extensions there because I was just so fed up with all the mistakes they had made and decided not to leave a tip because of how unhappy I was the service. To top it off when I got home I realized that the girl who dyed my hair didn’t rinse out the dye completely and I spent another 30 minutes rinsing out the dye. Overall this was just a not good experience I’m so disappointed on how everything turned out and I don’t plan on returning. I really hope the owner reads this and makes proper adjustments to their salon.

1202 definitely cares about their clients. After I posted about how unhappy I was with my haircut, they called me up and invited me to come back for an adjustment. Mario took excellent care of me. He reshaped my hair so that it now has the proper shape, and I have cute side swept bangs. It looks so much better. They also offered to darken the color. However, I’d actually gotten so many complements at work that I decided I should just leave it as is. This was all done at no additional charge. I can definitely trust Mario to do my hair right. I am very happy and will go back again. :)

I really wanted to like this place. I bought a groupon for haircut and single process coloring. I was helped by Sevana. She was really nice very talkative and did a great job washing my hair. They even offered me wine(which made me yak later but the idea was a great gesture). The salon is clean the people friendly. Easy making an appointment, very accommodating. Anyway my hair was very long and done in an ombré style. I wanted a dark color and shorter to cut off all the damaged hair. Sevana did just that. But after I washed my hair and styled it my cute side swept bangs were cut into a huge blob of hair. Didn’t blend in just sat there looking all weird. I called in to get it fixed. They set me up with an appt right real quick. Sevana was busy when I got there that I understand. But I don’t believe that she knows how to blend hair in layers. Bc even after I tipped her very well on the day of my appt, she rushed to try to fix the mess of hair that was my bangs. I was very disappointed. She just kept cutting and it looked horrible, she passed me off to another stylist to fix it, shout out to the older gentleman that tried to help fix this mess after she passed me on like yesterday’s leftovers to continue with her new client. :(its not what I like but he did the best he could with the mess she had created, looked in the mirror and my color is already washing out. I sadly wont be returning and at this point I wish I didn’t tip her such a gracious amount. Bc it was not deserved. Sadly, my search for a good hairstylist continues.

Honestly, this is the best place to go if you have problem hair. I have short VERY curly hair and I wanted a hair cut I could easily blow dry. Also, I never color my hair but I let the stylist talk me into it. I liked my natural salt and pepper but he said, ‘it will be fun!’ That’s what got me. I love both the cut and color. I get compliments, literally, all the time. Freddy is the best! The salon is lovely and people are all nice. I am not exaggerating.

CC is amazing! I’ve been going to her for the past three months for micro dermabrasion, peels and eyebrow shaping. My skin is smooth, soft and radiant. I’ve been suffering from acne since a teenager and that has stopped. I had gotten to the point of giving up hope on my eyebrows and they do not grow very much and are thin and sparse. She worked miracles on them. With a little waxing and trimming she not only shaped them the way that I like but also made them look fuller. I will be a client for years to come!

I have been going to 1202 Salon & Spa for a year now(formerly known as Bottega Salon). This is a nice salon that offers a wide range of services – everything from hair to skin to nails. Everyone is very friendly and professional – especially Chloe and Sandra who I always see at the front desk every time I come here. If you’re looking for someone who pays attention to the details then I highly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed!
