Ivan and his hair studio is just as comparable to what you would get at the Montage in Beverly Hills or any salon in West LA, Nothing about my cut was rushed and he really wants to get the cut absolutely correct so he asks questions. Loved that he was mex like myself so conversation was a breeze and he does deserve calls pouring in for appts. It’s quiet personal treatment and the price was no issue. This is a young man with a new business but a real professional! He has a tonne of experience and it shows in his work! Truly the BEST cut I’ve had in 25 years!!! This is a real barber… scissors and straight blades! But he’s got a great sense of style. He helped me! I’ll definitely be returning! Next time I’ll schedule a shave as well! I bit hard to find, north-​west corner of E. Green and S. Hudson in the Salon Suites space… entrance on Hudson. Couldn’t recommend more highly!
To follow up, the sign of a great cut for me is, if the next day, I shower and can comb my hair and look as good as the day of the cut, then I got a great cut. And the next day it still looks great!!! Really happy with how updated I look! Thanks Ivan!

So, after not gone to a barber for a long time (being bald– 10 years) I decided to have a shave from a professional. A friend told me about Barber Embassy so I took a risk. After visiting and talking to Ivan I am glad I went to him. He took his time, very dedicated, detailed about getting things right and making sure I was happy with my shave (face and head) it was very relaxing and comfortable atmosphere. Ivan you have earned a very happy customer… I will be back!

Ivan is great at what he does. He’s nice, seems humble and cares about his client’s needs and wants. Spent a tremendous amount of time on detail and strives to meet your wishes. The studio is clean and welcoming. Also offered a drink to keep me comfortable. I went to two previous barbers before coming here. I didn’t feel completely welcome with either one. I’ve found a barber I’m completely happy with and I’m here to stay.

Ivan takes his time, uses clippers, scissors and a straight edge razor for the back of my neck.
I always look forward to going back to get my haircut, and If I have enogh time, a great shave.

I’ve been using Unilocal for 5 years and this is the first time I felt I needed to leave a positive review. Ivan is an incredible barber. His attention to detail is amazing and he is outstanding at his craft. I recommend getting a hot shave!

Ivan did an excellent job on my hair and beard. I got the full treatment as a gift with hot towels and straight razor. He is a pro with old school training, you can tell that immediately on seeing his cool chromed 1940s barber’s chair. Nice building, nice fellow, nice product, nice work. The only thing I would want for Ivan is some backup from a receptionist. Maybe the building management can fix that.

Best haircut I’ve had. I have difficult hair to work with, but Ivan spend quite a bit of time to make sure he got every detail just right. Not a rushed process, and cool little setup in Pasadena. Ivan’s a good guy, a very skilled barber, and has definitely earned my business.

I wish there was an option for 6 stars, because Ivan at Barber Embassy is that good. His attention to detail is unmatched.
I could have easily gone to any barbershop and waited an hour to get a decent haircut, but paying that small extra fee to get a quality haircut with no wait time is worth every penny.

My man Ivan did a great job on my hair! Been growing out for a long time and before that I used to go from barber to barber looking for someone who knows what they’re doing. Now, I mean no disrespect to the others who used to cut my hair, but I think I finally found my barber!

By far the most legit haircut experience I’ve ever had.
I came in with long, unmanageable hair and a vague idea of what I wanted and Ivan gave me a great style and also gave extreme attention to detail. He cleaned up the hair on the back of my neck and sideburns with a straight-​razor, dusted me with some talcum powder and even offered me a beer and/​or bourbon.
Next time I go, I’m gonna take him up on the beverages and get a full close shave with the straight-​razor. Ya’ll should do the same.

I’m one of those guys that usually hate getting my hair cut because I’m never happy with the result. Not today. Today I found my spot! I came in after a months of growing out my thick, uneven, crappy hair, looking like sh** and walked out feeling like james godamn bond. Ivan definitely knows what he’s doing. Came across Barber Embassy during a business trip in Pasadena. I searched the area for barbers and this one came up. Based on reviews at the time, I was sure that this would be safe. Little to my knowledge did I realize that this would be the BEST haircut I’ve had.
Ivan for starters was very accommodating and attentive to detail. After showing him and telling him what I was looking to do, he went above and beyond. He was very amiable and friendly the entire time. There was no awkward silence or conversation. He definitely is passionate about his work which shows with his final product.
Unfortunately, I don’t have photos as proof, but he kindly asked to take photos of my hair before and after. There was such a huge difference!

I’ve been getting my haircut from Ivan for about 2 yrs and I am never disappointed. I live in Santa Clarita and for all u ppl that don’t know where that is it’s near magic mountain. So I am willing to drive near 40 min to get a great haircut. If you live in this area I highly recommend switching barbers and coming here! You won’t regret your decision at all.

I was walking by this new place in the building I work and noticed a pretty cool barber pole inside one of the small shops. The black and white barber pole was a great eye catcher, leading me to find Ivan and his tiny shop. I cannot stress how hard it is to find a barber that does head shaves, let alone one that does them well. Ivan answered both of these for me and to top it off, he is literally located in the building I work at.
In regards to Ivan’s talent, I cannot stress his qualifications more than to say, he is funny, talented and developing his little business. If you are in the market for a new barber, give him a shot, help a small business owner out and I believe you will be pleasantly surprised.

Ivan is a master of his craft. His old school approach includes sheers, clippers, and even straight razor! It’s a complete, 60-​minute hair cutting experience and then some with hot shaving cream, neck and head massage, and wash. Barber Embassy offers a first class experience in a classy locale, and at a fair price.

Barber embassy is a great place in pasadena, it is classy and elegant. It is not your typical barber shop. I met IVAN and he is different, he likes to take his time when cutting your hair, and it makes you create a connection and feel appreciated. The salon is very neat, clean and nicely furnished. You get a shampoo and a massage with every haircut.
