Very polite and had all the good stuff! I love my soaps and oils and shea butter I bought there. The owner helped me pick out a frangrance oil for my boyfriend. I described the scent I liked… and he hit the nail on the head in the first try! They have so many to choose from, I was afraid it would take me forever. But he was very helpful and the product quality is great!

Super helpful. The store was great with many, many options to choose from. Would definitely go there again for my fragrance and essential oil needs. I am also recommending him to my library patrons for the project we are doing.

Bismillah Imports is One Of A Kind! What a treat and what a gem this place is. S.M. Farasat the owner is a very kind and good hearted business owner that cares about the people and products he offers! having been here for years this place is still under the radar and for Locals only. ;) I come here for Shea Butter and soap but they have all sorts of stuff to feed your body. Argan Oil emu Oil avocado oil coconut olive Oils I’ve never here’d of etc… they carry REALPRODUCTS that your body absorbs, consumes, and craves. You can also come here and create your very own unique perfume/Cologne from scratch. None of those Paraben, formaldehyde, etromsidec etc. all those words that basically mean dousing your self in chemicals. Thank you and keep up the hard work!

My review is pretty old, so I want to update. Coming to Bismillah is such a treat! I enjoy being introduced to new scents to add into my rotation. I drive up from Long Beach because I know I’ll be taken care of. If the scent I want isn’t there I’m always able to get a close match. I recommend to anyone who loves to smell good and wants the scent to last all day. The oils I purchase last 2−3x longer than traditional /alcohol perfume, at a fraction of the price.

Made a pit stop at Bismillah yesterday afternoon and purchased some amazing EO’s. The place is very personable and the store owner was very polite. *For those who thought it was forever closed, he mentioned he was out of the country for sometime but is now back to business.

Hate to see there closed, hopefully there will be a new store opening. I followed them from Washington blvd to Colorado blvd, I’m truly sad to see there not opened. They have amazing products!

Great store but looks like he might be moving? He posted a note of dates/hours of business for june and july. Not sure if these are the remaining days before closing but on the note he’ll be open in July for 24, 2510am-6&26th10am-5pm other than that idk. Buy from him while you can!

I arrived at 4:20 today and the store was closed. I stayed for a while and nobody showed. The gate behind the front door was also closed so I assume they were gone for the day. I wish it would have been noted somewhere. I even called the shops number and it was disconnected! Have they moved? Gone out of business? Idk… I really hate giving bad reviews and I soo looked forward to coming, this was definitely a let down.

I love this place, have been coming to them for years!!! My whole family comes here and we even refer friends and family members to them because this is the spot! Oils, incense, and much more. Family owned and operated. The guy is nice and his wife are very nice and helpful. Why pay 100 for perfume when you can pay under 20 for a FEW of your favorite smells :)

Are you interested in making your own perfume? If you are, come here asap. I love this place, I’m so happy I stopped in here at the beginning of this year. I had actually found this place when I was searching for raw shea butter. Upon seeing all the beautiful bottles of oils, I couldn’t resist the chance to make my own perfume. The owner was patient with me to help choose and smell the kinds of oil and scents I wanted to use. I got two small bottles, one of them I customized completely, the other was a recreation of a very popular perfume. I get compliments every time I wear them and the smell lasts for hours. Quality is amazing, the oil selection is amazing. The owner is very talented with knowing the right combinations and what works well together. I’m in disbelief at he’s even able to manage and keep track of all the oils he has. The selection is huge, the possibilities are endless. I think I will be coming back soon. Also they offer a roller type application for the essential oils as well.

This place is wonderful, and the owner, S.M. Farasat Ulcah is knowledgeable and helpful. I spent at least 45 mins. there & it went like a flash. He has some of the best-smelling essential oils I’ve ever sampled, and he measures them out right there for you in the amount you want. His vetiver was the sweetest & freshest I’ve smelled, and likewise everything else I got — oh, his sweet fennel is marvelous, and his ginger sublime. Good quality, good prices. Already planning my next trip. Spent my budget there & regretfully left without getting everything I wanted — but that’s a never-ending buffet, anyway. I may get a bespoke fragrance oil on my next visit. You should go there, and then tell your friends. One of the best fragrance-shopping experiences I’ve ever had.

This is my favorite go to fragrance place. The owner is great so nice & patient. He will let you smell everything until you get what you want. I stopped buying expensive perfumes and now I only buy my oil’s here. I have been to other shops and some don’t take the time or just snobby. We just made another drive today to get me another Oil.

So you can totally make your own perfume oil here. The family who works here are really nice and patient and willing to help you find and create a signature sent. You can also purchase other scents that are already made. I’m not giving up any of my scent secrets but you should go see for yourself. Very affordable and long lasting. I love it and will definitely go back when I run out of my special perfume.

This is the kind of shop I have always wanted to exist. I walked in to rows upon rows of bottles of homemade oils & dressings for the body, and immediately fell in love. I meant to just stop in for a quick minute, but ended up sitting down, relaxing & chatting for quite awhile. The owner will mix a custom blend of essential oils, he put a few drops of blood orange into avocado oil, and it’s heavenly to moisturize my really dry skin in the desert weather of LA. I also scored a big yet affordable vat of raw shea butter, and some delicious homemade tea. I scoured Unilocal for a place to get fresh shea and cocoa butters in the whole L.A. area, and this place seems like one of a kind and was hard to find in the search but just happened to be nearby, so I’m really glad I did, and I hope others will find it, too. :)
