Del Taco

the place is now closed … anyone know why?

I’ve been coming to this location for ages (even before it was Del Taco). I just had my most amazing fast food experience just before midnight. A pretty little girly named Rebecca with a most beautiful smile hooked me up tenderly. If you require immediate gratification and satisfaction, this place delivers and leaves you with enough change for an extra beer… Try it – I guarantee you’ll like it!!!

Yes, I know it’s tempting to try the new flavors for the chicken soft tacos. Just say no! You can do it. Here’s why…
First off, it really doesn’t taste that good and certainly not better than the original. Secondly, it violates my motto of «if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!». The original chicken soft tacos are perfect the way they are. Stop messing with it. :(
Now to the real review…
This DelTaco is pretty efficient and they always get my order right. They’re opened late and have a drive-​thru so it’s perfect for when I’m done drinking in Pasadena and I have the munchies driving home to Arcadia.
The nacho cheese sauce is amazing. I always ask for extra cheese sauce on my nachos and the employees are always nice enough to oblige. They don’t charge extra so cheese away. You can never have too much cheese sauce.

Let me first say that I love Del Taco… just not this one. Let’s me count the ways:
1. The interior has the signature tables and chairs, but the dining area could have been better designed to utilize the space. And someone needs to clean the tables.
2. While there is free wifi, when I came to use it, I wasn’t able to connect. I brought it up to the counter, and still nothing.
3. There are individual men and women’s restrooms, they are located outdoors behind the drive thru (again, poor architectural design), which can be quite unsafe. Tiny and ghetto, and require a token from the front counter to enter.
4. Mom was complaining that the coffee was lukewarm, and when she asked for a new cup, it returned still lukewarm.
There’s another Del Taco off of Foothill (just west of Rosemead), so if you decide to go visit this franchise, maybe consider driving up a few blocks. Or order takeout.

Ive been coming to this place for a while but after the rude service the other day, I’m going elsewhere. 1^st sandy was texting when I got there and drinking her Slurpee. I had to wait about 3min and when she notices i was waiting she trys to hurry me up because a car pulled in to the drive thru. she actually says «can u hurry because I have a car waiting». She actually cut me in the middle of my order. I felt like saying «did I hurry u when u where texting and drinking your Slurpee» rude!!!

So slow every time. Inside and drive thru. I stopped going.
The dining room tables and outside tables were covered in food scraps and trash — weren’t cleaned for a while.
I’ve seen employees texting while on duty more than once.

I’m not one that frequents fast food chains and especially not Americanized Mexican food places either. I signed up for Del Taco’s e-​club for their free premium shake birthday offer. Upon signing up, they give you a coupon for two free chicken soft tacos as well.
The premium shake choices are chocolate, strawberry, or vanilla. I got the vanilla and it was pretty good, especially on a hot summer day.
The drive thru was fast and they were friendly about my redeeming my birthday shake :)

This is my favorite Del Taco in the Pasadena area. There never seems to be too many patrons here, so I never have to wait too long.
Del Taco is the only fast food restaurant that I’ll eat at. I’ve been eating Del Taco since I was a wee little kid, and the chain seems to continue to crank out tasty food. The old stand by’s like the red burrito, classic taco and quesadilla haven’t changed over the years, and are still good.
Have you ever had one of their shakes? Whoa, they are the best of any place in town.

Viva la Del Taco value menu!!! This place is strictly for after hours junkfood bingeing after a night of drinking. I’ve never came here for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. No reason to. In a right state of mind, you would normally steer clear of this mess and head over to a real taco place. They are open 24 hours so yay. It’s never really been busy here so that is a plus. You don’t have to wait so long till your cramming your face full of chicken soft tacos and ½ pound bean and cheese burritos. With green sauce of course ;)

Well it’s a nice looking del taco from the outside and it’s in a decent neighborhood but it took way way too long for them to process my order in the drive thru. I wouldn’t recommend going here if you are in a hurry. Even when no customers are inside the restaurant it seems to take forever for them to prepare an order. other than that the food was good for what I’ve come to expect from Del Taco. It’s greasy it’s unhealthy and it’s oh so delicious

Drive thru open 24 hours… bean and cheese burritos with green sauce hit the spot! I’ve also had the crunchy shrimp taco… that didn’t sit well after a night of drinking… I recommend sticking w/​a couple of b & c burros!

It’s Del Taco. What else do you need to know?

I’ve been coming here for years until recently.
Last time I went I tried to order their new spicy southwest shrimp burrito.
The girl at the intercom said NO cause she didn’t know how to order it for me…
Yes, she actually said I couldn’t order it because she didn’t know what it was. I sat staring at the giant pictures and advertising for it surrounding the main menu and blinked for about 10 seconds.
She didn’t stop and ask someone else working what to do, or what it was, or even take a break from telling me that she couldn’t to try. I emailed Del Taco and no response. Awesome.
I ended up going to the other location without incident, apparently their employees are trained how to sell burritos that they’re advertising at that location

omg if you are hungry at late night, this would be the best place to go.
also, BEST after-​bar food you can get.
I love the chicken soft taco with scorcho sauce on.

ok, so i had to do another del taco review cuz del taco is wonderful. 24-​hour drive thru (we’ve all been there at like 4am after drinking, which is odd because the bars close at 2. what happens to those other 2 hours? its like drinking opens some sort of time portal, but i regress), good food, great prices, great selection. plus they have outside seating, so even if its late you can sit outside in the crisp air and sober up with your friends. you know you have. or in case someones lingering puke-​face is coming to fruition and barfing is eminent (not me tho). anyways, allow me to list what i find best about this place:
–soft taco (of course)
–hard taco (also good)
–not stingy with the hot sauce
–anything «macho»
–cheeseburgers (yes, they are good if youre not knowing)
–del classic burrito
–fish taco (not bad for fast food)
–del scorcho sauce (the hotter one isnt that good)
and last but not least… those caramel cheesecake bites.

Oh hell yes!!! Working a long day, studying right after and running on empty. I have to stop at some place to grab something to eat. I know this isn’t really «Mexican» food but definitely processed food but it’s sooooo good. What made it even better is seeing a new item on the menu board called «Jalepeno Rings». I’m not a person that would order or even finish fries. I’m not one to be into spicy foods but more of a rare occassion. I really had to order this along with a huge Macho Combo Burrito, no beans though. All I know is coming to Del Taco, you know it is truly junk food that you are about to comsume but it’s one of those days where you can say, who really cares. Time to put my head back into my book.

This is my favorite taco place. I go here almost every weekend. The place is clean, tidy and the food is delicious. One thing I must comment is their customer service. There’s this guy who’s very polite and had excellent customer service. Every time i go I always hope he would take my order. Such a nice guy! My only complaint is one of the staff there was really rude, stuck up and obnoxious. If she doesn’t treat people right then I don’t think she should even be working there. I don’t know her name, but all I know is that she had blond hair and most of the time at the register. One time I ordered a combo and she got my order wrong as well as my drink. She wouldn’t even apologize and gave me an attitude like I was the one who made a mistake on my order. I went here today and luckily she wasn’t there. Other than that this is the place to go and boy do I love their fries, fresh and hot just how I like it.

Ok. I admit. I love me some Del Taco after a night of not being sober.. . I mean, after a few drinks.
Mmmm.. egg and cheese burrito with guacamole, sour cream, rice and beans.. . mmmm.. . and del scorcho. This burrito, since it has eggs, is considered breakfast, and only available after 11pm. :oP Anyway, satisfies my late night cravings.
I’ve been to a few Del Tacos in my time, but this one is fairly decent. It’s down the street from me, and for the most part, they get my order right.
Now, the reason they stand out? The new guy that now works the late night drive-​thru window on the weekends. I swear he looks like Jonah Hill.. . you know, the guy from Superbad, Knocked Up, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, etc.. . with darker hair. He even kind of talks like him — and when I’m drunk, I find this the most hilarious thing on the face of this planet.
What a way to end my drunken nights!
But just looking and sounding like Jonah Hill isn’t the clincher. It’s the fact that he gets my order right w/​out me having to repeat myself a billion times. (seriously, try ordering an egg and cheese burrito with guacamole, sour cream, rice and beans. drunk.) AND, he gets my order right, AND he always asks if we want anything else, AND he always suggests a drink, and we don’t think we need one, but then inconvenience him by ordering one anyway once we get to the window, but he’s always very nice about it. AND, he puts a grip of del scorcho sauce and napkins in a separate bag, and lists off everything else in our ginormous order as he hands it to us. Damn. Multi-​tasking is not a problem for this guy. Plus, this guy is super chill and finds time to ask us how our night went — you know, chit chat. Chit chat AND get our order right. Wow. That’s unheard of in the fast food world.
