Domenico’s Italian Restaurant

Pizza is OK, good amounts of toppings but they are not the most flavorful. Moderately fresh. The crust and sauce is decent but nothing to write home about. Some of the topping combinations are interesting.

Got the chicken parmigiano! Couldn’t finish it but lasted for dinner as well! It’s tasted very authentic! The people are really nice and friendly and the food came fast!

I like this place because it has a very family feel to it, I will definitely eat here again.

Food is excellent, but the staff could stand to be a lot friendlier — makes for awkward ordering and waiting.

Been coming here since a kid. Would stay at my friend’s house and we would order pizza, wings, and antipasto salad from here. Food is always fresh. If you’re getting carry out, ask for the mid week special.

I’ve been eating here since I was 3 years old. I am now, obviously… substantially older, shall we say. Perhaps nostalgia plays a part in my love for this place, but it really is just one of the best little Italian joints I’ve ever been to (and boy, have I been to them). Food is great. I always order a pasta dish, but the pizza is fabulous also. I hope this place stays open forever, just the way it is.

Been coming here past 26 years love the pizza and pretty much anything they offer on the menu! Lunch specials are always a great deal! Great food! Great service! This is why I have continued to come here since I was a kid…(9)

This is my go-​to spot for Italian food! I’ve been coming here for years and they never fail me. Their workers are always friendly and inviting.
The food is delicious! I get the tortellini with Alfredo sauce with a side of their toasty garlic bread. It is the best. Also, don’t forget to try out their desserts! They offer frozen ice cream that has a frozen chocolate shell. I’ve never found another place that has these so I always make sure to get one every time I visit!

A New Year’s and Christmas tradition… for me and my husband. Excellent service of course. Really good food (pizza and lasagna are very good) served quickly. Came in early (5 p.m.) and were seated immediately. Highly recommend this restaurant!

This is a great Italian restaurant. My family and I have been coming here for years. Service is good and both quality and quantity are spot on. However, the location is not the best. It’s great for me because I live close and can get take out easily, but it is really not near much else. So if you are looking to do dinner and a movie, dancing, ect… then plan to drive to two locations. Otherwise, highly recommend.

Excellent Place to fill up for lunch or dinner.
Today was my 1^st time there and we ordered a medium pizza and a Meatball Sandwich, cut in half, for the 2 of us to snack on while the pizza was baking. Half of their Meatball Sandwich is like a complete meal and we ended up taking pizza home with us.
Pizza was also fantastic.

I always get the question, «Where’d you get this pizza from?» in a positive way everytime I order here for company. The pizzas have a nice cheese layer and a tasty crust. They are quick and responsive. We’ve catered there… the alfredo… it was slightly greasy, but I guess that’s to be expected for that dish. It’s a little pricier than similar food in the area, but I like supporting the local long-​standing family business (they close sometimes for vacation!).

Unfortunately, dominicos got cheap on there chicken. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo dish (w/​chicken and broccoli). It use to come with fresh grilled chicken Breast! Now it’s comes with hormone injected, pre served, Sysco meat. The chicken tastes like it came from a can of soap. It’s pasta isn’t worth the $$. I use to tell people for years about this place, but no more.

Too much food! For our first time we didn’t know how much to order and we ordered way too much food! Anyways we have a lot of left overs and we will know for future reference. Just make sure you don’t over do yourself like I did and you will enjoy every bit of it!

So its the Day after Holloween and I find myself in Pasadena this Lovely Sunday November 1^st (All Saints Day). It’s High-​Noon and feelng like Italian Lasagna should be on my lunch of choice, so off to Domenicos I go. Keep in mind that there is a few Domenicos in the Los Angeles area but my fav is in Pasadena! Clean, plenty of parking and Air Conditioning are all welcomed attributes this establishment attain. A must when yearning for Good Italian Cuisine.

Domenico’s is definitely a place for comfort food. Great for bulking season ;)
We ordered:
1) Fried chicken wings + mozzarella sticks (comes with a marinara sauce and a hot sauce, and we requested ranch)
2) Chicken parm and a side of ravioli (dinner special comes with a salad and garlic bread)
3) Medium calabrese pepperoni pizza

3) Pizza is great just like the other reviews stated. I really like that garlic crust… My only complaint is that it was covered in oil, but I did expect it
Unfortunately, the 3 stars is for service. The waiting staff wasn’t attentive. I, however, do appreciate that they recognized this.
— It took a while to order our drinks and receive our drinks. I’m glad we got big cups and straws though.
— We asked for a little bit more time to browse the menu. But the guy never came back! We tried to flag him down from where he was sitting, but I think he was talking to another staff member. A bus boy realized we were ready to order and he went to find the waiter. I think they were the only two working on a Saturday evening (4pm).
— The food came out at a reasonable time :)
— Unfortunately, they forgot to bring out the salad. He thought we ordered the a la carte (which doesn’t include the salad and garlic bread) even though he wrote it down.
— We got out a lot of napkin! So appreciative of that because I had to use a lot for the oily food.

Dominicoes is fattening Italian at its best. Everything has mozzarella cheese on it and I love that about this place. This is not a dieters restaurant. Every menu item has the essentials flavor and seasoning. I would come here more if I could. I think it is fair to say you can’t go wrong with any of the menu options.

Domenico’s is MY benchmark for which all other pizza in my life has ever been judged and evaluated against. NONE. COMPARE. EVER.
I have eaten here to celebrate at least 3 family member birthdays EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR. Since before I can remember.
Rich sauce, a perfectly balanced crust from the edges inward, a gooey, tender mozzarella that haunts my dreams, and some high quality fresh anchovies.
I am saddened that I have not rated this earlier, even taken any photos of the place until now. To the management I apologize. On my birthday in August I shall add more photos.
Dining room is a little small and it gets busy quickly, so arrive early or order to go!
