Love love love. Been going forever and I have never been disappointed! CHERYLROLL is my all time favorite! And servers always have recommendations on what new things to try.

Mediocre sushi. Mediocre place. Doesn’t offer happy hour and ONE waiter tends to forget you even exist. Nothing more than your average sushi shack plumped in the middle of a suburban neighborhood thus jacking up the prices and lowering the expectations is plausible. UPDATE: I received a message from the waiter this morning commenting on my review. He was very upset and was right to have animosity towards me. I was insensitive to his insecurities by calling him fat and using his name. I apologize. Your message really opened my eyes on how«ugly» I had been and I just wanted to say power to you for being able to praise your self on having far more sexual relations with the male species than I ever could. POWERTOYOUMAN! Sorry again.

Pretty good sushi and Japanese food. Love the miso, hot n sour soup, and some other dishes. Really dense selection of sushi rolls. It’s gonna be tough, but my goal is to try almost all of them lol. Couple favorites: pyramid roll, sashimi roll, Jedi, and some others.

The sushi and food is very good. It’s a nice establishment on the smaller side. They have a sushi bar and both times I’ve been there was a wait time. It’s a great spot for dates or friend dates. The ambiance was nice and it wasn’t noisy. It’s a shame they’re closed on Sundays!

I would love to give more than three stars, but I just can’t. I love getting sushi from here(my favorite is the crunch roll, and while it’s not technically sushi, I also really like the hot dog roll). They offer things other than sushi, but the majority of the menu is sushi and the other menu items aren’t as tasty as what you can find elsewhere. My husband isn’t really a fan of sushi and my best friend is allergic to soy and a lot of other foods there, so… When I want sushi, I order to-go. When you order food to-go, they will tell you about 20 minutes. This is NEVER the case. It’s always about 25 – 30 minutes which is not a big deal, you just wait a little longer to go get your food. However, once you get there, you will still be waiting. If your food is ready and sitting out, you usually have to wait for someone to help you. When someone finally does help you, chances are they will have to go get someone else to take your money. It’s REALLY frustrating because you can see your food sitting there and yet you just have to wait for someone who is allowed to take your money. Chances are, you will end up waiting at least 10 minutes while people walk in, get a table, and receive their drinks before you ever see this person who will finally give you your food. My husband will no longer go pick my food up because he gets frustrated(and he’s the most patient person I know). By the time you get home, your hot food is cold, or your crunchies on top of your sushi are mostly soggy. Little Tokyo is the only sushi restaurant in this part of town,(that I know of) so they’re always busy. One major perk they do have is the rewards card. For every dollar you spend, you get a percentage on your card and if you save it up, you can get a free meal. The more you eat there, the quicker you get free food. Will I stop going to Little Tokyo? No. However, I am no longer allowed to send my husband in to grab my food. He’s tired of the ridiculous amount of time it takes to get the bag of food that you can literally see is ready and waiting for someone to claim it. Who can blame him? They need to get their act together with the take out. Other than that, it’s still a great place to eat.

It was quite busy when I went. Service was great and the sushi chefs were friendly and answered questions as to what roll was what(being that we sat at the bar and was eying what they were making for other customers). Prices were reasonable… Tried the Noah’s Ark(highly recommended), the Mermaid(liked this one too!, the Ryan(good), and the Bull(ok). There aren’t too many sushi places in the area so this will be my go to place :) …not bad, not bad at ally

Great Sushi and at a resonable price. I enjoy going and relaxing! The service is hit or miss but I am not there to be baby sat! I am there to eat Sushi! I would recommend having it served on a boat! Just ask for it to be served on a boat! It is an experience!

Been coming here since the small place next door. I love the Toinette, Tinker, and the Laura ’ s Shaggy Dog rolls… the Tokyo tower is amazing. And definitely add a Jennee salad, add crab and crunchy topping. Eric the owner is super nice! Go!

Where do I start? The service here has declined over the years. And this last time was no exception. I placed an order for pick up and left a little late to give them time to prepare so I wouldn’t have to wait to pay and go. Well the planning ahead did me no favor. I showed up only to not be met by anyone. About 10 minutes someone finally showed up so I could pay for my food and go. Such a shame this place is declining and the employees seem indifferent to business. I will keep coming back because this is the only place that makes decent vegetarian sushi but only when I can. But come on guys! You used to be amazing! What happened???

I love little Tokyo!!! It is best to go on Tuesday evenings, because every other night is crazy! We went a few Friday’s ago and got lucky waiting with three parties ahead of us and the hostess guy wrote on this little pad and kept walking around saying ok it’s you and then you and the. You guys will be seated. He was super sweat but a hot mess. He must have told us it would be just a minute about five times. No exaggerating! I have yet to have a roll I didn’t like! I ordered the pyramid roll and it was strange but still good. Love!

Not a very lively place. Staff is not observant and have a «no care» attitude. The food was okay. I ordered the Benito box G. The shrimp came out fried but I had to pull the top layers off to know it was the shrimp. The flour was not cooked all the way. Some were still powdery. Staff stands around visiting.

I was skeptic about trying Little Tokyo because people have mentioned a long wait… so during my first visit I didn’t hold high standards and expected to leave if I saw a long waiting line. Upon arrival, we(my boyfriend and I) were seated right away. Maybe this was beginner’s luck? Anywho, let’s talk sushi! My initial reaction to the menu was that it was EXPANSIVE. Even the pickiest of picky eaters couldn’t complain. There was a little something for everyone. I love how the sushi menu was organized and directly told you what each roll was like(ex: There were sections labelled«Crunchy Topping» and«Spicy Lovers»). So there was no confusion as to what you were getting, I cannot count on one hand how many times I have misinterpreted what a roll would be like at other sushi joints. As far as taste goes… YASSS(insert praise hands emoji). The sushi was quality and you can’t beat the prices. The prices on their website are mostly current if you want to look ahead of your visit(I can attest to that for all you takeout lovers who search the vast interwebs for a full menu). I particularly LOVE the Dynamite Crunch roll and the Princess roll. I also recommend the Jedi roll if you are into raw sushi goodness. Overall, eat here. You will not be disappointed.

45 minute wait for four rolls of sushi on a Tuesday night? Yikes! The wait was way too long after we were seated(and we had already waited 10 minutes for a table!) Our waiter was nice, but seemed a little shy and/or inexperienced. Our drinks took him a while to refill. The Dynamite Crunch Roll and Princess Roll were alright. 3.5÷5 stars for the food. Fried rice was good, not amazing. Probably won’t be visiting again. :/

I have been wanting to try this place for well over a year and today I finally did. Walked in and a young Japanese man showed us to our table. Was a little disappointed when our server wasn’t Japanese, but Jeff gave us awesome service and between him and the food, they should really get a 10 star! The food was excellent!!! For an appetizer, I had the spring rolls. I love spring rolls and could make a dinner just out of those! $ 4.25 for two. Served with a peanut sauce that was to die for!(those allergic to nuts should tell their server not to bring it. They are very good with or without the sauce). Worth the price! My entrée was the Ten Don. It comes with soup choices and I chose the hot and sour soup. This soup is pretty spicy and even cleared up my sinuses! The entrée itself was Deep fried shrimp and vegetables perfectly cooked. I had some of the appetizer peanut sauce left over and it was also good on this entrée. The rice was cooked perfectly. Not sticky like some places. $ 8.75, but well worth the price. The portions are big, and I even have enough left over to add to my chicken I have for dinner tonight. My daughter had the Gyoza soup. Three large pork dumplings in the soup. I tried it and wasn’t so fond of the soup stock, but the dumpling was good. She had a Fuji Apple Salad as her entrée. Nicely sliced apples with lettuce, onions, tomatoes(comes with carrots, but she declined them) with a coconut dressing. The dressing gave it kind of a tropical punch. I also tried this and it was very good. She also had one of the crab sushi. I did not try this one(though I do like sushi), but it looked like it was cooked right. She said it was great! The sushi was served with a bit of julienne radish on the side along with sliced cucumber. Our waiter, Jeff, was professional. He continued to come back to check on us and see if we needed anything. We tipped him a bit more than we usually would for the amount we paid for lunch. The restaurant was clean. Their sushi bar was clean. The have a bar with various alcohols. I don’t drink so you’ll have to go and try it for yourself. The restaurant is not as large as I thought it would be, but big enough to have a good size luncheon with co-workers. For a $ 25 lunch, we got much more than it’s worth both in food and service. I think I may have found my new favorite restaurant!

Loved the atmosphere. We are not sushi people but we sat and watched them prepare dishes and everything looked so colorful and fresh. We had chicken and shrimp fried rice and it was good. The cheese puffs were excellent!

If you are craving sushi, this is the place to visit. Little Tokyo is an intimate atmosphere with kind staff and master sushi chefs. This visit, my friend and I enjoyed the gyoza, vegetable tempura, and red dragon roll. We enjoyed every last bite. To finish, the green tea ice cream was smooth and reminded me of my visit to Japan. We will be back and I highly recommend that you take your dining experience here. You won’t be disappointed.

Nom nom nom! This is our go to sushi spot in Pasadena! We have tried other places around but the peppered tuna cannot be beat! Love the B&K roll. We tend to add a little lime juice in our soy sauce just to give it an extra kick. The service is pretty nice for the most part but they do have quite a bit of hiccups as far as timing is concerned… There are times that the service is just way too slow but they are very nice. Their food is fresh, it does not taste or smell fishy. Definitely recommend Little Tokyo.

The food is really good, but coming from someone who has eaten here since before the renovation I honestly feel that this establishment is lacking professional service. Having to wait fifteen minutes before getting a drink order is pretty Brutal. Food took forever to come out and the service really lacks. The waitress we had didn’t check on us at all during the whole period we were there.
