What happened guys? You practically disappeared over night without telling anyone! My dog, Jake was used to seeing you every Friday and Saturday. He still drags me to the now closed doors after walks! Sad to see you go! Plus I miss the coffee and buns!

Bun bun bun! We went there on Friday afternoon and the buns are almost sold out. Only 3 mocha and 1 cheese left. We got all the mocha ones and got them heated. It was so soft and fresh and smell so good with mocha flavor!

I am just not in love with PappaRich. Might be my taste buds prefer sweeter desserts, I had the mocha bun, it was a bit dry and bland. Service is a bit slow, they had some other great sounding/looking stuff, maybe I just got the wrong thing this time. I don’t quite get the hype, but am sure to give them another chance sometime, trying something else, or coming earlier in the day.

The milk buns, the mocha buns, the chocolate buns, yum! There’s a whole lot of delicious going on here! That sweet plus buttery flavor… oh my they just melt in your mouth. In addition the staff is friendly and the inside is cute and cozy. The only thing that I find to be difficult sometimes is parking. There are few spots where you don’t have to pay, but for the most part this area of Pasadena has a lot of meter parking and quite a lot of meters that do not allow for the use of cards. Sometimes the spots fill up fast too. As usual though most of the parking is free on Sundays. Despite the parking situation though this place is worth a visit! You’ll take a bite of those buns and forget all about Pasadena City parking.

Giving this a two star instead of one as I hope it really is an outlier. Asked for a mocha bun and was told can’t get one because they do not have any. Their shipment from Malaysia was running behind schedule. I asked when I can buy one and was told maybe in a couple weeks. From a basic inventory management perspective and considering the main product is baked bread, I would think the buns would be in stock. Will check back in a week or two.

We’ve been here a few times for the buns and some drinks. There’s something about a hot mocha bun fresh out of the oven that is just so sweet, buttery and drool worthy! If you can, try to eat it there and enjoy it while it’s still warm! Aside from the mocha bun, chocolate is pretty great. I’m not really a fan of the milk bun or their new product the«golden pong» without the buttery center. The smoothies are good, but their teas were a little overly sweet for my taste. Overall, if you are in the Old Town Pasadena area, it’s a nice treat and worth trying! Unilocal 100 Challenge — 26 of 100

Really really really bummed they were sold out of all buns except the cheese bun. Also, staff was not their usually friendly selves today, no smiles and not friendly. Kinda disappointing experience.

I would have given them 3 ½ stars, but I decided to round up because their employees are nice :) What we got– MILKBUN: I like this one just as much as the mocha bun actually. It tasted very much of milk which I liked CHOCOLATEBUN: This one was surprisingly my least favorite one.(FYI I am a total CHOCOHOLIC). It was just not up to par with the other buns. MOCHABUN: This one is the original one, and it was good. My favorite parts about all of the buns was the cookie outside and the buttery inside, but I personally feel that you can get better roti buns at café dulce in little Tokyo(Their blueberry roti is the bomb!) Additionally, they didn’t have any of those hyped about cookie sandwiches left, so this review is only for the buns.

They have Peet’s Coffee now. Like it better than whatever coffee they had before. Café au lait is decently good. Milk & cheese bun taste similar to me. They’re not as rich(on the lighter side compared to other buns), but good nonetheless. Haven’t try chocolate bun, but mocha bun is still my fav(and it’s still $ 2.99/ea…they haven’t raise the price all these years… hooray!)

I like the maple/mocha bun and the chocolate bun. It’s a soft-buttery filled center but a slight crunch on the outside of the bread. It’s hard to describe but it really is some fine bread. It doesnt need anything else. It’s great the way it is… I usually stop and get a case of 6 Papparich buns to-go and enjoy them at home and for breakfast the next couple of days. I’ve found that slowly reheating them in a toaster oven gives them a more golden brown outside that makes it pretty damn good. Try it out. It might be regular purchase for you like it has been for us. Street parking along green or the other side street but you have to feed the meter.

Mocha Bun. So soft. So delicate. So warm. So Melt In Your Mouth. So «Why did I order just one?!» Just the right amount of sweetness with a very slight mocha flavor. Eat it RIGHT when you get it! Anyone who really knows me, knows just how much I absolutely love butter… straight from the stick! Imagine my surprise when I finally reached the center! WHAT?! I love that it gave it a little savory kick… I only wished there was more of it. Coffee here was not as unique as I’d have liked. I mean, of course, who doesn’t like Peet’s Coffee? But I was hoping there’d be some specialty PappaRich Specialty Latte. =) I ordered Caramel Latte and boyfriend ordered what I BELIEVE to be White Chocolate Espresso. Mine was made just right. His was too sweet for me. Next on my list to try here is the«Milk the Moment» bun and the«Ice Cream Bun»!

Wow! The mocha bun is so good. I like the bun without the buttery inside though. The bun itself is really good, then you get to the middle of it and you get a warm and gooey buttery taste. The only complaint I have is that the buttery part is too salty for my taste! Don’t forget to get the deal on Unilocal where you pay 3 dollars and you get a mocha bun and coffee!

Not bad. I really had no idea what I walked into. I just typed«bakery» in the Nearby feature in the Unilocal app and this was on top of the list. Walked in and was greeted by a sweet girl behind the counter who was ready to answer our questions about what exactly the pastry they served here was. It was a bun that’s crispy on the outside and filled with warm salted butter. The flavor was on the outside. I bit into it and it immediately reminded me of Pan de Sal. The yummy filipino bread roll I used to eat when I was a child. Yummy and delicious. Just enough mocha flavor that it wasn’t a sweet pastry, which is exactly what I wanted after a salty meal at the bar down the street. Would definitely come back again! :)

Gosh, ive been coming by here but never committed myself In walking in or getting anything. AND i’m so glad that i did! i would come definitely come back because it’s pretty good! The original bun is the mocha one but I got the milk bun. The milk bun is yummy even though I ate it the day after and microwaved it longer than what I was advised. the staff also stated that the personally preferred the milk bun. I would recommend you checking in, because they have a deal($ 3 for a bun and coffee). The bun alone was $ 2.99. so why not get a cup o joe as well. Staff was nice and greeted me when I came in. I would recommend you to come here to try it out. Its only $ 3 bucks what do you have to lose. Tips: *indoor seating and a small outdoor seating. *they warm up the bun for you if you eat there. * free 90 minutes parking structure or metered street parking. *located on a street corner.

This place has always been good and after a recent visit, I can say that it is still good! BUNS: they have 4 flavors of buns. They are all tasty and my favorite part is that they are pretty light so you don’t feel gross after eating. SERVICE: good PARKING: this is old town Pasadena so it can get tricky if you aren’t familiar. There are one way streets all over. Nearby, there is free 90 min parking in the structure. You can also park on the street but make sure to read the signs so you don’t get a ticket from those annoying parking cops

Butter, maple, bread– call it a day. Hidden next to Sofa store is one of the best snacks I’ve ever had: maple. Basically it’s just baked bread, melted butter in the middle, and some maple… hmmmm melty. If your in Pasadena you need to make a stop at P. Rich for sure. *Haq to Frock, over.

Yums~! After a great foodie dinner, we decided to indulge our sweet tooth with some roti bun dessert at PappaRich, a new try for moi. This bun, made-famous by the eponymously-named chain in Malaysia, is layered with the«flavor» cream and baked over round dough, so that the top layer is made crisp in the oven and the middle resulting in a cake-like consistency. The Original(maple-mocha) was definitely my favorite! The Milk one was just as delicious but my preference will always veer towards any of the cacao family. WOA: * Teeny shop, also offers smoothies & coffees * Easy metered or lot parking nearby 4.5 stars~

WERELUCKY this is the only store i know in the US& last time i had Papparich was in Malaysia! seating inside this café for you to sit & enjoy 4FLAVORS for the buns! original maple mocha, chocolate, milk, and cheese, but i’ve only tried the maple mocha which is delish! —coffee + bun combo: their coffee is pretty mediocre BUT at least they offer soy milk as an option! NOTE: buy 6 buns in one order & you receive a Papparich box to carry them out PLUS bring this box back & get 10% off every time you fill it up with buns again!

Bookmark crossed off! My girlfriends have told me that they LOVE this place so I was super happy when I had the opportunity to try it out. First things first, you order your bun and have to wait for it because they give it to you piping hot. It costs $ 3 and there’s like three or four options. Their most popular one is Mocha so we went with that. It’s an airy bun that’s crispy on the outside and fluffy in the inside. It’s not only fluffy in the inside but it has oozing, melted butter inside. I don’t eat these sorta things often, but it was delicious and made me feel warm and fuzzy. This place might be dangerous to my waist considering that this place is a 5 – 10 min walk from my place. Other side note, their little mascot totally reminds me of that mask guy from V for Vendetta except the Korean version.
