This is my favorite poké place. The fish is fresh and I am satisfied after every meal. Everyone in the restaurant is so welcoming and nice. There is nothing bad I can say about this place. 5⁄5

Delicious poke and great service! The poke I had was fresh and their house sauce is the best, I was happy that they served the same delicious drinks as they do at Flour and Tea.

Today was my first Poke bowl experience. The nice server helped me decide what to get as he knew I was new to this. He was extremely helpful and informed me of all of my options. That was really helpful for indecisive me. As a lover of Ahi tuna, I figured I’d try something new. I ordered a small bowl with half and half rice and lettuce, tuna, crab(the imitation kind), all the veggies, avocado, sprinkled with sea weed and black sesame seeds and hot sauce in the side. I ended up choosing take out. Upon arrival at home, I was reluctant to open my bowl. My bowl was a little work of art. The bowl after all was really good and I found that a small was more than enough for me. Anything bigger and I would’ve made two meals. For $ 10.89 it was a great Saturday afternoon lunch. I stayed full all day. I bet it would be even better on a hot day. I also recommend the Love Potion drink to go with your meal. Sweet but not too sweet and nicely caffeinated. Overall experience: A+

I was at the Arroyo location and after making my purchases, turned out the coffee shop was packed full on a week night. They suggested I come over here and when I showed up, the sweet girl behind the counter was actually expecting me. That is nice and attentive customer service! At the end of the day, it is those little touches that keeps me coming back. It doesn’t matter if some highly acclaimed coffee shop had the BEST roasted coffee. If their attitude is to bash unsatisfied customers who take the time to give them feedback, instead of improving and express a simple«I’m so sorry for the bad experience and we will go better, thank you for the candid feedback»… well, it is certainly not my problem. I’ve come across one too many of those«hippy» coffee shop, and stay away from those. This Flour+Tea location was perfect for my 1-hour wait that evening. Spacious and lots of comfortable seating. Free wifi. And Unilocal checking gives you a discount on drinks! Parking lot is back around the building. USA little hard to find but I called and the girl was nice to explain what to look for. I will definitely be back!

With so many great poke places nearby Pasadena now, it’s really hard to compare PokeMix to the rest of the pack. I felt the portion is a lot smaller than the others, and it’s a couple dollars more as well. The location is kind of odd and not an easy access for customers unless you work nearby. The Asian guy working at the counter acts like he absolutely hate his job. He was rather rude and uninterested in helping out customers whenever anyone had a question about an item. With so many poke bowls popping up now, it’s hard to justify to come here.

Cute place! Nice and roomy interior to give you lots of elbow space to sit and chit chat. Pokemix was one of the first poke places to pop up in Pasadena(wow, say that fast three times). Initially I stopped in a few weeks after their soft opening, and ordered a combo atop salad to-go. Maybe it was the salad, or the seasoning of the scallops, or maybe bc they were still new, but it tasted like straight up seawater. Fast forward a couple months; my coworker and I came here for lunch, and I got the combo atop rice with salmon and tuna. Big difference! The fish were well marinaded without being overpowering. I like ahi poke where you can still taste the fish and not just all the sauces and stuff they mix it with, like some other poke places. One great thing about Pokemix is that you have the ability to couple your poke bowl with a great mixed tea drink! They’re the same owners as Flour & Tea down on Arroyo and Cordova, so the same quality of drinks also transferred with this shop. Oh, and they allow extra imitation crab and seaweed salad toppings at no additional charge!

I come here once every few weeks for a drink and have had their poke bowls twice. The parking is supposedly in the back on Hudson… but it does not make sense to park there because the entrance is on Lake and the store is in the middle of the block. There are a: few: parallel parking spots on the street which you have to pay for. So if you can, just walk over or park in the lot between Lake and Mentor. I would say if you’re looking for a meal from the poke, you have to pick the 3 scoop option or more. I have been pleasantly surprised at the freshness and the good flavoring of the ingredients. The drinks tend towards the WAAAAAYYYYY too sweet side, so even if you ask for half sweet, it’s usually too sweet for me. There are a lot of options and the hot drinks are fresh-brewed, so that’s good. Even though they have a stamp system, your ‘free’ drink is extremely limited. Like, you can’t actually get Thai Tea, the drink I get 70% of the time. Decent place to study. There are a few outlets and there is wifi.

After seeing a number of friends’ snapchats of this place, I finally got to try it out! The restaurant is very vibrant, clean, and super welcoming! I ordered a small(2 scoops of fish) with half brown rice and half salad as the base. Add in 1 scoop of salmon and 1 scoop of tuna for the fish. Add avocado, cucumber, seaweed salad, masago, sesame seeds, dried seaweed, and probably some other toppings to this bowl. Finished with their house sauce, which is similar to sesame shoyu in all the other poke places. I really enjoy the fact that this place cuts the fish into huge pieces; it feels like I’m getting a bang for my buck. Also, super nice that they have their own selection of teas and what not. This definitely sets them apart from other poke places because the usual places has canned sodas and teas. However, what I didn’t like was the lack of flavor. When you order the sauce, it gets poured on, having you to mix it on your own. Even mixed, I felt like it just wasn’t enough. I feel like seeing the fish being marinated in sauce gives that comforting feeling, knowing that your food will be flavorful. Overall, this place did not stand out too much for me. Tea was good though! :)

I got to directly compare this to Spinfish by eating them on back to back days. I came away unimpressed with PokeMix. It felt as if the ingredients didn’t mesh together well. I tried a standard ahi and salmon bowl with white rice. Spinfish on the other hand… much better.

If you are looking for a poke place that you can’t get out of your mind when you are not in town. Well this is your place. The people there are really nice, and so many flavors in the food. Ps. Secret tip for boba, ask for the love potion blended. Best drink you’ve ever had.

So many poke places now. I used to just make my own but now that I can go somewhere and order a bowl for about $ 9 I am pretty much a converted poke buyer. PokeMix has hamachi, ahi, spicy tuna, scallops, salmon… all great. I usually get the ahi and spicy tuna small bowl with rice. Sometimes greens. But mostly rice. I top mine with seaweed salad, masago, garlic chips and spicy mayo. Throw a little wasabi in there too. I like PokeMix because I never feel gross after eating their bowls. Sometimes poke can be a bit overwhelming especially in large portions so I am really like their portion control here. Staff are friendly and I like they’ve got a range of good tea drinks as well. Parking can be somewhat of a pain only because it’s in a prime spot on Lake, but I am lucky enough to work walking distance away.

Man oh man. If you know me, you know I love me some Flour + Tea! Easily my favorite boba shop/café for its sweet atmosphere, friendly service, and yummy offerings. My first trip to PokeMix was a disappointment. I ordered ALLTHETOPPINGS, didn’t mix them properly, and wound up with several mouthfuls of wasabi. I don’t profess to be an expert of poke ATALL, so I can’t compare this to the standard. But when I tried it the second time around, I was absolutely pleased. Some winning points for PokeMix by Flour + Tea: PORTIONS — Very generous! Even the small gives you two large scoops of seafood! It was the perfect amount for dinner mixed with the rice and other toppings. SPECIALS — I believe they have a special fish every day? So that spices up the usual mix of tuna, salmon, etc. Further, they have SPECIALTEACOMBOS! And you can sample them! Do it! SERVICE — Similarly to the original Flour + Tea, the folks who work here are just so nice. I never feel rushed, and it seems they really enjoy what they do. Makes the place bright and comfortable! I can’t say it’s the best poke place(because I don’t know what that would mean), but there are lots of options and the food tastes good. Don’t go too crazy with toppings, but if you like to live on the wild side, at least make you sure you(Poke)MIX it all up nicely!

Pretty decent poke place. The pros: fresh fish, good poke sauce, nice toppings. The cons: strange poke(scallops?), salad instead of rice?. I suppose my cons are mostly that it is very anti-traditional poke that I am used to, but I feel that the unusual flavors/combos just don’t work. I stick to the classics of ahi, spicy ahi(wish it weren’t crushed up kind), and salmon, over brown rice. As long as I do that, I am pretty satisfied with the place. Drinks are good here– loved the Taro smoothie. Also curious to try their packaged baked goods– including the Oreo brownie. Not a big fan of the place overall, but find myself coming here relatively often because it’s a very healthy and decent tasting meal.

This poke place was such a letdown. Granted, I came here 30 minutes before closing so maybe that affected the quality and taste of the food? I’m not sure. All I know is I didn’t enjoy my poke bowl. I ordered the large bowl with salmon, tuna, and shrimp over half rice and half salad to-go. I got it with all of the standard toppings and their poke sauce. They didn’t mix the sauce with the ingredients, they just squirted it on top of the bowl and that was that. The bowl was incredibly bland. It almost tasted like there wasn’t any sauce. By far, this was the blandest poke bowl I’ve consumed. I felt like I was eating each item on its own because there wasn’t something that bound all of the ingredients and flavors together. Honestly, it seems like a tea place with a half-baked poke idea. They simply jumped on board the poke train without really thinking about the little nuances that make other poke places better. PokeMix will definitely not be in my poke mix.

Poke has noticeably been on the rise in this area. Comparing PokeMix to its competitors, I thought it was subpar. Came in for a poke bowl on a weekday evening and I was their only customer. There are three size options — small, medium, or large. You can pick rice(white or brown) or greens as your base. I asked for half and half but easy on the rice, thinking he’d give me more greens — nope! It was half greens and about a quarter of rice… Next comes the protein — salmon, tuna, spicy tuna, albacore, shrimp, or scallops. The large size comes with 4 scoops of protein and you can mix and match! Except the scoops are incredibly tiny, significantly smaller than my ice cream scoop at home! Finally, choose your add ons. I asked for seaweed, masago, cucumbers, edamame, and mango sriracha sauce on the side. Wasn’t a big fan of the mango sriracha — it tasted like syrup mixed into hot sauce. I would prefer regular sriracha by far. For something that’s considered large, I thought it was fairly small — it was about the size of a standard bowl from Spinfish. The fish wasn’t bad in quality but bland in taste — I got salmon, tuna, and spicy tuna. The add ons weren’t bad minus the mango sriracha. This poke restaurant is convenient for those who want a boba drink along with their meal, as it was originally a tea house before they added on the poke. They’re better with the drinks, probably because they have more experience with them. Parking is a pain — only street meter parking available in this business district. I’d say there are better poke options out there.

This place has much better teas than poke. I guess that’s why it’s PokeMix by Flour + Tea and not the other way around. There’s another place nearby that’s just Flour + Tea so my guess is this place started out as a tea and bakery shop and decided to add poke to the mix. You get to customize your poke bowl, just like Pokinometry in Anaheim. I’m not a fan of Pokinometry either but I think it still does a slightly better job than this place. You choose the size of your bowl(small, medium, or large); select a base(rice, seasonal greens, or half/half); select your protein(salmon, tuna, spicy tuna, albacore, shrimp, scallops, and imitation crab meat); and choose your add-ons like wasabi, ginger, various sauces, etc. I got a medium bowl, half/half, with salmon, tuna, and scallops. The tuna and salmon didn’t have any seasoning so they were quite bland without the poke sauce. Since the sauce was just added at the end, the flavor didn’t come through. I still prefer the traditional poke which is marinated ahead of time with sauce and onions. The scallops had some seasoning but they tasted really fishy. They definitely weren’t sushi quality scallops. I did like the hibiscus tea and the green tea, and some of the mochi bread I got. The teas can be adjusted for sweetness and they seemed to take great pride and care with their teas. I would give this place 4 stars for its teas but 2 stars for poke. I would return if I’m in this area, but only for the tea.

Another poke hot spot in Pasadena! This place is similar to Poke Salad Bar and Spinfish. Pick a base: salad, white or brown rice. Pick a protein: hamachi, shrimp, scallop, salmon, spicy tuna, or ahi tuna. Pick a topping: seaweed salad, cucumber, masago eggs, wasabi, edamane. Lastly, pick a sauce: chipotle, spicy mayo, poke sauce, ponzu. They offer 3 different sizes and the difference is the extra scoop of protein as the size gets bigger. Price is very reasonable and the staff is very helpful in making a recommendation if you can’t decide. I enjoyed my experience and the service I received from the staff. The only different with this location is that they also serve tea drinks, pastries, and bread. They also offer a combo deal where the drinks cost an additional $ 2 for a regular and $ 2.50 for a large size drink. Price for tea drink is affordable vs the other boba stores in SGV. The tea drinks are good and you can taste the strong! This location is conveniently located near my fav gym. So I plan to come here more often.

What I Ordered — Almond Milk Tea with Boba — Small Poke Bowl with Scallops, Salmon, Seaweed, Guacamole and Masago I was excited to try PokeMix because they also served boba! My Almond Milk Tea with Boba was perfect! Super soft, chewy boba with perfectly sweetened almond milk tea. :) Now on to the poke. What a let down! I think the worker who made my bowl was new and didn’t know what he was doing. You would have thought he would have gave me more than half a handful of salad when I opted out on the rice. Nope!!! A small is only 2VERY, VERY small scoops of fish. I had the most depressing looking bowl with really fishy tasting scallops. I had to ask for spicy mayo on the side to drown out the taste. The salmon was good but, I had to pick out the onions that came with it. Luckily, my friend had someone else make his bowl because his came out normal portioned lol. There are so many poke places to choose from nowadays. PokeMix will definitely not be one of mine. Please work on your consistency!

So tasty and so good! Things to love: — 3 bowls sizes(small, medium, large) — half rice/half greens option — two kinds of rice(brown or white) — an option of a discounted tea with a bowl($ 2.00 in stead of $ 3.55) — competitive prices — 10% off teas with check-in with Unilocal app — amazing tea quality — serve yourself tea samples — freshness and yumminess of the food Things to give grace for: — general flow of ordering(they have a register in the very beginning, but you don’t actually get to pay till the very end) — being extremely rationed with add-ons and sauces — having to ask for lids to go from the guy who is running the register and dealing with other customers But yeah, hands down an awesome place!

My Poke accomplice(Kym B.) and I decided to give this a try one evening and we both had no regrets. This was the first time I exposed myself to Poke so I was a little apprehensive about the whole process and how the whole assembly line works. The lady that served us was extremely kind and tolerant of us two newbies. She walked us through each step of the course. She explained what to start with, the sizes, the rice(they have both brown and white), the greens, different fish, the toppings, the sauces and etc. She gave great suggestions with picking what tea to drink and what combination of foods paired well with each other. I loved the ambiance and décor of the place, it’s a great atmosphere to sit and talk with friends. Throughout our stay we were checked on regularly by the manager. I could tell she genuinely wanted us to have a fantastic first exposure with Poke. It was obvious to me she took great pride in her business and wanted the best for her customers. Having her there added a nice personal touch to our whole PokeMix experience.
