Dr. Levy, the orthodontist did an amazing job and the procedure was quick and efficient, and virtually painless. Elizabeth, Mayra and the the rest of the staff are warm and welcoming. I Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a warm, comfortable, and easy going atmosphere.

Dr. Guinn did an amazing job on my daughters smile. She has a million dollar smile. This place specializes in dealing with some heavy ortho cases. My daughter being one of them. One of her lower tooth’s was growing in the wrong way and buried deep in her gums. Dr. Guinn was the only dentist that found it. This tooth looked like a shark and was about to ruin my daughters lower teeth. She referred us out to a specialist who removed the tooth and we discussed weather or not I wanted an implant. We decided to just close up the bottom without the implant which isn’t easy. I am very particular and like to give direction on what I wanted my daughters smile to look like. She takes criticism very well and made several adjustments to satisfy me. Several of my daughters teeth had to be pulled out at the right time to avoid a crash and she was on it. Thanks so much time well spent.

I’d like to first start off by highly urging you to avoid this malpractice of a dental facility at all costs!
My first visit, the nurse cut my mouth during the x-​ray that left a week-​long sore.
I came back (stupidly on my part) for a crown. My appointment was scheduled for 11AM and I sat in the waiting room for an hour and half before seeing the doctor. During this time, all I heard was employees talking about their lunch break and football. Absolutely no professionalism nor passion for their medical craft.
Once I finally entered the procedure room, I took notice to the abundance of moldy stains on the ceilings and scattered dental tools hanging out of unclosed cabinets. When the doctor sat down next to me, the first thing she tells me is how she wished she stayed home to listen to jazz and read a book (back to that lack of professionalism and pride in one’s medical craft). She then swabbed me with a numbing jelly, and left the q tip in my mouth for five minutes. The chemical starting oozing over my lips, and I had to ask her for suction. She laughed and stated, «Yeah, you got some bubbles right there!» She then dropped the suction in my mouth and walked away. The suction was in my mouth for ten minutes until I had to remove it and put it back on the tray myself!
She came back and shot me up three times with local anesthesia. At one point when she was maneuvering the syringe, she squirted the anesthesia on my face! So insane! At this point, I was getting extremely frustrated, as the doctor just laughed her way through her pathetic, lackadaisical, unsanitary, uninspired procedure to crown my tooth.
Finally, a nurse came over to help with suction (the nurse was also the same nurse who cut my mouth during my original x ray). She then took a dental mirror to keep my tongue out of the way of the drill, and she was so disengaged during the procedure that the mirror fell down my throat and I began to gag! She just said, «Oh, whoops.»
As the doctor continued to drill, I raised my left hand denoting that I was feeling pain. She then pulled out her syringe, squirting me in face, yet again, when I then I got up and walked out of the appointment. I couldn’t bare one more mistake from these total idiots.
If any corporate managers are reading this review, let me just say, SHAME ON YOU. Also, the two employees who I had to deal with were an overweight hispanic woman about 5’5″, and a short, stubby african american woman with blonde hair. Your medical center has made my life a living hell today. This is costing me a pretty penny just to get your mistakes corrected. I will be praying fervently for the uprooting of your negligent, pathetic dental facility. No human being should be treated this way in a first world country.

So far so good, treatment and service are great. The staff is kind and helpfull, Only issue is the long wait… every time.

After about 2.5 years of wearing invisalign I am not 100% satisfied with results. I wore them religiously. Yes, my teeth were horrible and I like my smile a lot more now. I think I should have gone with regular or Damon braces. The ortho should have recommended them instead of invisalign, they def would have widened my smile a lot more than as is.

I liked this place but most importantly, my daughter liked it. All the Ortho Technicians are very nice, friendly and gentle (ok, there was a girl who was a bit heavy on the hand but we took care of that). If after 2.5 years my daughter was not running to the hills that should tell you something. The overall aspect of the clinic is a bit dingy and could use a pretty good remodel but we went to Huntington Dental first (pretty spiffy place) and will NEVER EVER set foot there again! Those are bad people.

So far so good. Sylvia helped us out w our consultation and my daughter and I immediately connected. She takes her time in explaining all of our concerns. She is flexible in adjusting our payment schedule which has made us want to push forward with my daughters braces. We look forward to having an amazing smile and so far feel absolutely taken care of.

I got my braces back in 2007. I had a wonderful experience with Dr Guinn, she took me even after I had been turned away from braces because of my deep overbite.
I was told I needed surgery to bring my lower jaw, and she fixed it in 23 months with no surgery. Everyone is very professional, and Dr Guinn always pays so much attention to detail, she really is the best orthodontist in LA. All the staff from the front desk to the clinicians all make you feel like family, I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
The office is very welcoming and clean. It doesn’t sound like much, but there is always cookies and lemonade and coffee in the lobby while I was waiting, nice personal touch.
I didn’t mind having any clinician work on me, everyone has a great hand. I always make sure to recommend this orthodontist to all my friends and family.
I’m so happy with my smile, thank to The Smile Agency and staff– you guys are the best!

At the age of 41 I decided to straighten my teeth once and for all. I found the Smile Agency here on Unilocal and was pleased with their great reviews and they were close to my home too. Another orthodontist had previously told me I wasn’t an Invisalign candidate. I decided to get a 2^nd opinion and scheduled a consult with Sylvia. She spent over an hour with me discussing Invisalign in depth. She was knowledgable, thorough and showed me before and after photos of patients which was amazing to see. She introduced me to Dr. Guinn who did an examination and told me I was a good candidate for the treatment. I decided after a few weeks to move forward with the plan. I’m about 90% through the entire Invisalign process now and I couldn’t be happier. Dr. Guinn is a master in the art of Invisalign. She knows how the system works and is confident in her abilities whereas the 1^st orthodontist wasn’t and wouldn’t even consider me for treatment. The entire staff from the front office to the back office is great. My experience has been nothing short of 5 stars. I’m happy to report my smile is amazing now which is something I never thought I’d feel. I smile with confidence now and I want to thank everyone at The Smile Agency for giving me that gift. It’s truly priceless.

After reading the reviews and calling 3 times and having some one hangup on you each time before you can ask a question. I dont think ill ever be going here seeing how they dont sound helpful.

Dentists are good but the staff in the from desk are not friendly!!! Elizabeth at the from desk was totally rude. No people skills whatsoever. That is no way to treat patients that have already paid for OVERPRICED braces! Please hire more professional staff and maybe I will put in a good word for this dentist next time.

I have been going here for a year now for my Invisalign and have really enjoyed my experience. The staff is really friendly, patient and helpful. Dr. Guinn was very honest with my initial consultation and listens to my opinion. I have never had to wait very long for my appointment and if there is an issue they are quick to fix it. Appointments are a breeze. I’m really pleased with my decision and my teeth look beautiful!

Dentist is great but have very poor staff support, if you are a flex spender, staff won’t support your needs for an invoice. waiting room is infested with flies. happily spending my money elsewhere.

I randomly found this place online when I was thinking about getting an orthodontic evaluation for braces.
Sylvia: She gave me all the information I needed about the pros and cons of getting braces. She answered all my questions promptly. She even gave me her personal number and her email so that I can call her at anytime with any questions or concerns I had. She was really nice!
Technicians: They’re all really friendly. If I ever need more wax or elastics, they’re always willing to give me more.
Doctors: Dr. Guinn is very professional and friendly.
It’s convenient to have a personal account on their website so you can look at your pictures, account balance, etc. I really like how they give out tokens at each visit for various things so that you can save them up and trade them in for giftcards, movie tickets, ipods, etc. :)
I was really terrified about getting teeth extractions and wearing braces for 2 years. but they’ve made me realize that it’s really not that bad and that it can be done! I can’t wait to get my braces off so I can compare my smile before and after!

My whole life I have been uncomfortable with how crooked my teeth are, now at 27 I decided to do something about it. I looked up orthodontists in my area online and input my contact information on the smile agency’s website. Within 5 hours I received a phone call from a woman with a very pleasant voice who answered all of my questions and doubts and helped me set an appointment with them. Two weeks later I went to the office and I was super early for my appointment, and they took me right in, took the pictures of my teeth and profile, and got me right in for my consultation. The staff was so warm and welcoming, I really liked the atmosphere and I was pleased with the fact that they had a payment plan that totally works for me! Before I knew it I was laying in the dentist chair getting my teeth cleaned and polished, then the top brackets of my braces put on my teeth. I left feeling very pleased with my decision and I am happy to be solving a problem and insecurity I have always had with my teeth! Thank you Smile Agency!

The Smile Agency is a scam! I bought a $ 49 Groupon for an Invisalign examination, x-​rays, impressions and $ 1,000 off my treatment if I signed up with them. Here’s why I didn’t
One– they only took partial x-​rays. They told me they would only take full x-​rays if I signed up with them. As far as the examination and impressions, it was just a guy that took pictures of my teeth with a digital camera and some woman I talked to for 30 minutes. I had to give them all my personal information like address, phone number, SS#!!! And they wouldn’t give me back the forms I filled out since I decided not to sign up with them so they have all my personal information for no reason at all. And I wasn’t able to keep my x-​rays. I only got to keep the picture of my face and teeth which I don’t need.
Two– I totally felt like I was being swindled. I was constantly introduced to people as the «New Groupon Customer». Everything felt like a scam. Why I had to be introduced to everyone before they knew if I was going to sign up with them was weird. Literally, they gave me a tour of the office and brought me into the room with all the patients sitting in the chairs getting their teeth worked on and introduced me to the crowd. While Michael Jackson was pumping in the background. How unprofessional! The orthodontic techs should’ve been concentrating on their work and not grooving to the music and calling out «hello» to me from their station. It was really awkward for me and for the other patients. But it was oddly one of their selling points– a hip, informal atmosphere to appeal to a younger crowd.
Three– the woman I consulted with was pushy and was slightly discriminative. She pulled up the pictures of me (I’m Asian) and my teeth and pulled up pictures of other Asian girls (like me) and tried to do some comparison. She assumed that I wanted Invisalign because of some Asian cultural thing about not having a big face which I had no understanding of. Apparently, the example/​Asian girl she was using claimed that she wanted Invisalign because her crooked teeth made her look «pouty» and her «face look big» which was a no-​no in her culture. What the hell does that even mean? I don’t have a big face and I simply wanted straighter teeth, correct my bite and I had some issues with gaps and extracted teeth. Clearly she was trying to appeal to me on an emotional or cultural level. I paid for the Groupon, I made the appointment and I showed up on my own will. Why she felt like she had to hook me in with some sales tactics is beyond me. And she kept telling me how easy it was going to be, how happy I will be, and how simple everything was.
Four– since everyone working there knew that I was the «New Groupon Customer» I totally felt like I was getting ripped off. My consultation was with the one woman and when the orthodontist came in to talk with me, she just looked at the notes the other woman made and made some technical, orthodontic speak and named a price. A very highly inflated price of $ 5,900 to make up for the $ 1,000 discount I would be receiving. The orthodontist never actually examined my teeth and I couldn’t trust that she would know what to do with my teeth based on just looking at the digital camera pictures of my teeth.
I ended going with Dr. Eckhart in Torrance off a referral. They were very professional and the woman I consulted with (for free) was very careful not to make any promises about my treatment. When Dr. Eckhart came to examine me, he went over details of what to expect. He told me that I was missing one molar in addition to another molar I had extracted– 2 teeth missing. I would eventually need implants to prevent my teeth from moving again after the Invisalign process. And I had some teeth that rotated so I might need braces for those teeth if the Invisalign couldn’t turn them. The price I was quoted and paid for from Dr. Eckhart was $ 4,400 plus 10% off for March Madness month, a grand total of just under $ 4,000 including the braces that I might need to get eventually.

Went in for the x-​ray and teeth whitening, but came out with NO RESULTS. My teeth aren’t super yellow or anything, but I really saw no visible difference. Also, they took x-​rays for me, but what did they do with them afterwards?! NOTHING. What’s the point in taking x-​rays if they’re not going to show them to you or say anything to you about them? Basically, I took the x-​rays and then they pushed me out of the office. This really boggles my mind.
On an unrelated note, their staff is pushy and uncomfortably obsequious with pushing their products. The guy who did my whitening was being really fake with his flattery and kept trying to get me to buy the whitening pen (good thing I didn’t because I probably wouldn’t have seen results anyway) and actually gave me his card to refer my friends for his own private mobile whitening business. Isn’t that sort of a conflict of interest?

So I also bought the groupon for the zoom whitening but I had a much different experience. I was expecting my teeth to come out pearly white. But instead I can’t even notice a difference, and no I don’t have bleached white teeth to begin with– I was hoping this treatment would give me those! The guy even gave me two treatments.
It was a total waste of money. The only reason why I gave three stars is because, to be fair, I don’t know of it’s the Smile Agency that administered the treatment wrong or if the Zoom Whitening is just a hyped up treatment in general.
Also, I did not opt to get any orthodontic treatments, so I cannot rate them for that.

Went here to cash in my groupon for the teeth whitening.
I went in expecting the worst, but the employees were nice and friendly I was in and out within the hour like they said
I had never done the whitening before and didn’t know what to expect
when i was informed it was only going to be ½ i was bum out, thinking «what is that going to do». first of all it was the longest half hour i have spend lay back, i was kind of falling asleep but it was kind of uncomfortable so didn’t when I was done I brushed my teeth and was happy with the results for it being my first time. they came out pretty good
I definitely recommend this place every one was nice and didn’t force me to any additional treatments, since that’s what i was expecting too

Went there to talk to them regarding the Groupon offer they had up, and spoke with 2 really bitchy employees. One was mexican, behind a desk, and talking to her was like pulling teeth, the second one, Sylvia, was flat out rude to me, shutting me up, although all I was trying to get was some info on Invisalign. They were worse than CIA about giving out the information.
They are also WAY overpriced. Everywhere else I got an estimate of 4k for the procedure, when I told her, she laughed in my face about it. She also added, «That price is definitely not an option at this clinic,» yet, she wouldn’t give me even an approximate to the nearest thousand, saying that I NEEDED to have the consultation in order to find out. Then she simply cut me, and went on about her business, leaving me there mid-​sentence.
I THINK NOT. And I greatly advise you not to go there, either.

I bought a Groupon for Zoom! teeth whitening which was the only service I had done there but the staff was very friendly and made me feel right at home. They even serve fresh cucumber/​orange water while you’re waiting.
The Zoom! whitening session wasn’t the most comfortable half hour I’ve ever spent but the results were amazing. I jokingly said I wanted white as snow teeth thinking that it wasn’t possible, but, lo and behold, my teeth turned bright white. I couldn’t stop smiling all the way home. I’ll definitely go back when it’s time for a touch up.
