Love Dr Nicholson! Knowledgeable, professional and a really nice bedside manner. He will go to great lengths to make you happy and provide you with good service. Good sense of humor to boot.

The WORST customer service I’ve ever had in any optometry stores. The sales girl mess up with my own frames by just twisting the frame legs and bend the whole frame from the nose pad area without even listen to what I’m feeling about. And after everything she still has a extremely unforgivable attitude!
They almost forced me to buy the lens from them and the lens THEY WANT ME TO BUY COST me $ 400, BUT Exactly same lens only cost $ 250 in downtown LA other stores. EVERYTHING IS WAY OVER PRICED!
Folks, PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE!

Evette hooked up my ray bans for daily use eye lenses so I can see the finer things in life she’s the best and she did it for a low rate!

Really enjoyed my experience and my new vision! I came in on a groupon and have never had contacts before. They were running a bit behind but it was fine for us, they apologized a million times. Dr. Nicoleson was very kind and straight to the point (my kinda guy) The women who taught me how to put my contacts in was very patient and accommodating. They gave me all the supplies I need and an extra pair in case I lost or damaged one with the learning curve. Overall my experience was great and I am a happy girl! :)

I have been coming here for years. Never had a bad experience. The staff is helpful. Maybe some of these folks just had bad timing. I’m calling for an appointment now! I’ll take them over Linden anyday!

One star is ONLY for Dr. Nicholson. He is a very good optometrist and very friendly. Everything else is a shit show. I got my contact lenses more than a month after I ordered them after the staff repeatedly told me that they usually take about a week and they will «probably be here tomorrow.» Also staff is arrogant and rude. Never going back.

Went in 20 mins before appointment signed in not even one hello from the receptionist. .the Doctor… walks out looking arrogant chews out receptionist and sends her crying… walked up and walked out… thanks but no thanks. .didn’t even get a call after leaving…

Dr. Nicholson is great — really good with my kids as well. Also nice choice of frames.

Doctor Carl Nicholson and staff are friendly. They explain each step, so you know what to expect (like that evil puff of air machine). Dr. Nicholson will show you how your prescription works — I had no idea what axis of astigmatism meant until I visited him.

Had a great eye exam here last week. They used tools here that I have not yet seen in an eye dr.‘s office – thought I was in the future. All the staff were courteous and pleasant. Good selection of glasses but really pricey. Dr. Nicholson seemed to enjoy figuring out the puzzle of my eyes. My only concern would be the dress code of the staff – it’s a little too casual. Leggings aren’t pants! I thought I was in the video Addicted to Love (Robert Palmer). Also appreciated that I was able to get an appointment easily and that the store is next to Vroman’s. Keep up the great work!

I’ve been a patient for about ten years now and from day one Dr. Nicholson and his friendly staff especially Evette has been very professional, knowledgable, helpful, and attentive. Dr. Nicholson has helped me find the right contacts at a great price and always recommends that I get glasses since I don’t have any at the moment. The office is located in a beautiful building and the atmosphere is very pleasant. I would recommend Dr. Nicholson’s optometry services to any one that needs this type of service. This is the worst place to work. I worked there for one month and three people left without notice. Beware!

My first experience was not good but they are close to my office, so I gave them another chance. This time I was assisted by Gina and got excellent service. She took the time to help me pick an fabulous pair of glasses and made great lense recommendation. She is the best.

Stay away the Doctor is always late he’s extremely rude. There’s always new staff this place is a revolving door so unprofessional. Beware of this office they take months just to fill a prescription contacts or glasses its ridiculous I went in for an eye exam it was so rushed the Dr definitely doesn’t take pride in his work. they also have a horrible selection of glasses no ray ban no Prada Dior Gucci etc they just have a bunch of cheap crap they try to sell you also Beware of the Dr trying to upsell a crappy second pair that you don’t need because he will try to do so he always does. I wouldn’t recommend this place to any one who wants good quality service and a great selection of glasses to choose from.

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Nicholson for years. He’s a wonderful man and a great doctor. I have never once experienced the «up-​sell» mentioned by an earlier reviewer. His staff is professional and courteous. Ivet is awesome at helping you pick out the right frames. You can’t go wrong with Vision One!

EXPERIENCE:
I’ve been an annual patient of Dr. Nicholson for over 15 years and he has never given me a reason to consider going elsewhere for vision care, well, except for the glaucoma test. I feel as though I blink every time, fortunately I’ve never had to retest. Prior to seeing the good doctor, patients’ eyes go through several tests, results are printed out on little pieces of paper, and entered into their computer database for reference.
Then off to the examination room where Dr. Nicholson puts my eyes through various tests, such as distance and letter recognition. Although I don’t remember where I went for vision care prior to Dr. Nicholson, I do remember always feeling rushed and stressed when trying to figure out «which is clearer, one, or two»? Dr. Nicholson is patient and even goes back and forth for me to ensure I give a clear response.
Dr. Nicholson is professional, knowledgeable, and thorough, not to mention personable. While he flips the dials to regulate the best vision for me, we chatter about his family and my hiking, all the while explaining what’s going on with my eyes in terminology I can understand. Even though my vision hasn’t changed too much over the years, he always asks if I would like a new pair of glasses or sunglasses. That’s it, no hard sale. Kudos to you, Dr. Nicholson. Yep, he is a 5-​star doc in my book and still sitting in the dugout, at the end of the line-​up.
Oh, and can’t forget Yvette, who has been his right hand woman for almost all the years I’ve been a patient. She is my frame picker outer. I actually like the fact that when a frame doesn’t look right, she doesn’t hesitate to let me know. Also, Yvette is knowledgeable on all things insurance. Not sure how she remembers what my insurance covers, but man, give that girl 5 stars, she is a keeper.

Dr. Nicholson and his staff are AWESOME! My wife and I were really happy we came here. Dr. Nicholson is such a caring doctor.

This has been the worst day of my life… I sat in traffic for 2 hours on my way to this place to pick up my glasses. After calling and explaining my situation I was told «as long as you’re in this door by 6pm.» I arrived at Vision One at 6:02 pm. As i knocked on the glass doors the receptionist waved my glasses at me, and said «Oo uh uh gurl!» The doctor and the eye glass assistant are coo .BUT the receptionist had the worst customer service ever. If she hates her job she should just quit and find a better job, not ruin everyone else’s day!

I have been going to Dr. Nicholson for 12 ½ years.
I too had some problems with the staff last year, but went back today and it was much better. This was the only bad experience I had in all the prior years and I was glad to know he took action to replace the entire staff.
Today was a great experience and all the staff was helpful.
