We have been here many times over the years. Sadly, the food and service has gone down hill. Not only did we get our food 45 minutes late, but the quality of the food was close to Dennys for a lot more money.

It is 7:45 and we were turned away because they close at 8:00!!! Totally rude! I will never ever go back here again. The service always has been terrible before but the food is good. No wonder why they always have a help wanted sign up!

Mixed feelings about this place. Breakfast food is amazing. If it was breakfast alone, it would be 5 stars. However, other dishes are mediocre. Speed of service is horrendous. Expect to be waiting around 45 mins after you order to actually get your food. The food is good enough to wait for, if you’re not in a rush.
Service is hit or miss. Sometimes I’ve gotten everything correct in my order, sometimes not. The omletes are the way to go if you do choose to eat here. It’s worth the wait.

I recently took my wife to Magills in Pasco. We waited 5 minutes to be seated as a waitress at the front counter expained the to manager how the staff has been overcharging customers and skimming of the top. The waitress estimated many of the OVERCHARGES were for $ 15 or more. The manager did not get angry or mention stopping this practice. When the waitress finally acknowledged us, she still didn’t help us. The restaurant used to make ok food, but they are rude and overcharge their customers.

Well… I bummed. I made reservations a week ago for my daughters birthday dinner. I called 2 days before to make sure. We got here and no one had any idea. 12 people waiting to be seated for 20 minutes. They weren’t busy yet. But staff seemed frazzled. Put our drink orders in and waited 35 minutes to get, sodas, tea, water, 2 mixed drinks. Another 15 minutes to get our food order in. People were coming and going around us. We have been in restaurant just shy of 2 hours. Still no food. I’m praying food is better than service. Well happy birthday daughter.
UPDATE: Food arrived after 2 hours in restaurant. Some of it was delicious. Their little sweet potato tots rocked and burgers were yummy. But the Mac n cheeses were flavorless and watery. Not Mac n cheese… Just Mac. Our waitress was very nice and apologetic. I think I will give them another shot before I make final judgements.

Service was very slow. If you go on Sunday, have a light snack first as it will take an hour to actually get your food.
Portions are good, and you leave filling full.
Overall, if you can wait, it is worth the stay.

Hungry? You better be! Us locals know this is THE place in town for big breakfasts. They have a great menu for lunch/dinner as well. Just be prepared on the portions. I believe too, they make the best damn/huge Bloody Marys in town! From what the old Heidi House was to the Magills it is today, they’ve done well. My complaint isn’t about the food, but how loud/crowded this place is. Very limited parking if you don’t get their early for the breakfasts! It’s too bad their Richland location couldn’t make a go. I think if these guys could wind up in a better location, a second spot would be booming. Have also had their catering and it’s GREAT; awesome BBQ, sides, salad, selection, and pricing.

Exceeded expectations. We went off our route to get here based on the all-day breakfast and favorable Unilocal reviews. I got the breakfast special, tri-tip steak eggs benedict, while my son ordered the super garlic grilled cheese, and we also shared an order of the cinnamon roll french toast. All dishes were excellent, portions were generous, and prices very reasonable. Atmosphere is country café with a touch of roadhouse, a little run down, but comfortable. Service was not super attentive at first, but hey, it’s a country café roadhouse, keep expectations in check, right? Service improved notably when I let slip to the server that we had chosen to stop there based on Unilocal,haha! Would not hesitate to return or recommend to friends. Thanks, Unilocal

This place has some seriously huge breakfasts.
I remember the first time I went I got the chicken fried steak. I don’t think I got the Ginormous portion, but what I did get was plenty for multiple meals. It didn’t taste like freezer, but the texture was a little on the tough side and it was a little salty.
The most recent time I went I got the Brunch Burger. A burger with Bacon, Ham, Sausage, cheese, egg and hash browns. I have an average sized mouth and this was a lot to take down. I had intended not to finish and take leftovers, but I couldn’t help myself. It was just so darn delicious. I actually thought the sausage was a bit much, but It’s a seriously gut busting burger.
My friend got the biscuits and gravy, and I couldn’t believe how big it was. And it came with sausage AND bacon.
I read things about issues with service, but I’ve never experienced as such. Probably my favorite place in Tri Cities.

I used to frequent this place a lot. Like twice a week minimum. Then I made the mistake of introducing my friends and now they go and then they bring their friends and it is a vicious cycle of people ruining my brunch and dinner times. But back to Magills… the food is homemade and has love as the special ingredient. Some of the serves are like Elsa from Frozen: ice cold. I have ended up with the wrong food multiple times, and it makes me sad, but then I will return (much like Rihanna to Chris Brown) and get a new server and I am reminded of how damn good the food is.

We have had hit and miss service the last two times we have went. After today we will not return. We were ignored by the hostess and had two groups behind us seated before our party of three. I ordered eggs benedict with extra sauce, soft eggs, and crispy hashbrowns. My hashbrowns were crunchy on the outside and only warm on the inside. My ham on my benedict was cold and tasted like it came straight from the fridge. It took us ten minutes before we finally consulted a manager to fix. Our waitress was Mia most of the service. I only received a refill once in an hour and that was after complaining to the manager. My boyfriend’s mother ordered the chips with a blt and they were too salty to eat. Very poor dining experience.

I’ve had so many different things here, every one of them delicious. Our son loves the cougar Mac and cheese. We’ve always had good service, even when extremely busy.
The only thing that’s a problem here is too many opinions. Lol.

This place is hopping busy! I had breakfast there at the bar. I enjoyed the food, as it was fantastic. The reviews on this place is so true.
The food is good, the service is great, but highly lacking when busy. One improvement would be to stop having customers come pay at the register. It causes a big traffic jam, and takes longer then having a server just take payment for you.

I had the Country fried steak and eggs. I ordered the ginormous 16oz one thinking I was a tough guy but it turns out I could only eat half. There was more meat than fried stuff on my country steak and I loved it. That was the first time I experienced that. The fried stuff could have been fried a little more cause I did taste the dough a little. The has Browns and eggs were good as well bit could have been cooked a little longer. All in all it was good food and great service but next time I’ll ask to cook a little longer. Yes I will be back.

While I like the food, if it looks crowded, avoid this place. The service is a little slow which isn’t bad, but getting your food takes forever. They can’t handle the volume of people that come. Too bad…

Ate lunch here today. I had a BBQ chicken burger which was delicious but fell apart as I ate it and was very messy. They had fried pickle chips on the menu which is awesome. My husband and the barbeque pulled pork mac and cheese, I tried a bite of it and it was also really good. Only complaint is that the men’s room was very foul and turned my husband green. The food and the service was great.

They lured me in with the chicken fried steak. We came in at about 9:15. Someone came out and chit chatted a bit with the person waiting to pay, but went back in the office after telling us «she’ll’ be right out. Ok. I then saw that this waitress seats, takes orders, brings food out, clears tables and rings all by herself. With 25 people in the dining room that was a big task and I have to say I’m impressed. The steak did not disappoint. Crunchy batter and good sausage gravy. I got scrambled eggs which tasted a bit of the grill but after dousing it with chipotle Tabasco it didn’t matter. My partner had two biscuits and gravy with a side of eggs and coffee. Our bill was $ 25. If you’re looking for solid comfort food with excellent service this is the place. Oh if this lady thought she was getting a breather, a party of 8 cyclists walked in as we were leaving.

On the drive from Walla Walla to Seattle, we wanted to stop for a delicious breakfast (although boyfriend ended up having lunch). Unilocal rarely disappoints, right? Magills was perfect — right off the freeway, price point was low, portions were big, and everyone was happy!
The restaurant is very large with dark wood accents yet light/funny décor. Even though it was busy, we were seated within 10 minutes — in/out in less than an hour!
Food: holy moly. I got the ½ size waffle, eggs, potatoes and sausage meal, and could not finish. SO much, and SO good. BF got the chicken taco salad, and it was the size of his (big) head. Haha.
I’d recommend Magills as for locals or out-of-towners like us anytime!
