I don’t know what happened, I don’t know what got into me, I can’t explain it, I had the urge for a hamburger, now. I don’t know what happened I was at the drive-up window and the voice said«would you like to try our new steak burger?» and I said yes. Oh my gosh the voice said«would you like that super sized?» no! no! I said«yes» again, well I tell you what that was a really nice burger. Yeah I know it’s fast food. Yeah I know I don’t normally eat at fast food places. Yeah I understand all that, but I got to say it was an excellent burger. Oh my the things I will have to test now that I have come to this revelation, maybe even an epiphany. Oh well good job Carls

Let me be clear, it’s fast food and, therefore, your expectations should be for… fast food. That being said, there is a lady who has been working the drive through forever. She is a gem and the main reason for the high number of stars. She is always polite and friendly and goes above and beyond to be helpful. Pretty sure she’s running the show. The food is usually good, but I usually add tomato or cheese to my order to ensure it’s made fresh(ish.)

Thursday July 16 @ about 9:15AM I ordered two of the sausage biscuit specials(2 for $ 3) for me and my friend at work. It was on the way, so I figured I’d just swing by. I almost went through the drive thru but got out thinking it would be faster because I assumed the people that actually bother to come IN should get first priority. Right? Maybe I’m wrong? Just as I was ordering mine, a guy at the drive thru window ordered 8 as well. I was inside, in line and the person at the counter turned away from me and took their order even though I’d been standing there first. Okaaay, now«those people» that treat fast food workers as if they are better than them just because they are on the other side of the counter, and the ones who are rude just because they feel some kind of entitlement is their’s… REeeeeally annoy me. But come on… It’s the same thing when someone is talking to you first in person and they turn away and begin helping someone on the phone. Not just answering and putting them on hold and coming back to finish your transaction but leave you standing there while they help the guy on the phone!!!(NOT good customer service!) Sooooo Twenty minutes later no exageration… checked on my receipt… this drive thru guy comes in raging saying he had to go to work. Well, so do I bucko! But he had a point. NEVER in the course of our order did the staff explain that they were horribly underprepared!!! They never said, sorry, we are going to have to make you wait a while… just to warn us that it would take longer than normal.(Which they should have done at the time of the order so WE could have made the decision to wait or not before they took our money!) They offered us our money back when the guy came in. Well, how about my half an hour that I was late to work!!! News alert! AFTERTWENTY minutes you should have offered the 8 buscuit guy and me a LOT more than a waste of time. There were no real apologies, just a lot of awkwardness. I felt sorry for the person at the counter, as a manager hid in the back,(or someone who looked as if they were in charge) trying to direct the chaos in the back! Whoever was in charge should have stepped forward and had more of a back up plan than just offering us our money back after we’d waited so long. They totally knew that they were in the wrong. The biggie was that never did anyone come forward to talk to us, they just left the poor employee to catch all the grief. I get that they were flustered and just trying to get us OUT of there… but when my order was sitting there in the bag, the cashier took another order!!! I finally interrupted and asked… Is THAT my order??? And it was! OMG! I took it and probably won’t come back. At least not for a deal. Some deal. Thanks for making me so late Carls Jr! By the way I understand an order of 12 specials at once(our combined orders) might have been unexpected(but why not have them prepared? At least a dozen should have been ready to go at that time of morning.) My gripe was the bad way they handled it by not handling it at all. Offering our money back? Bottom line… Not enough! REEEEALLY bad customer service! Every customer in the place was not happy. They were all waiting for their orders because of the large order ahead of them. NO excuse. They could have made it better by offering coupons or something. I work in hospitality and I know when a customer is just yanking our chain and when they legitimately deserve MORE than their money back and THIS was one of those times. To a place that I would have given at least four stars or more to in regard to most of my other visits to this location… one star is too much for my experience ton that morning. Word to the wise… don’t go to a place for a SPECIAL that is unprepared to serve it! Word to this Carl Jr. Managment: Customer Service 101… needs to be brushed up on big time!(If anyone had given us the choice to wait or someone had said you were OUT of that particular item… it would have solved everything… I would have just ordered something else and been on time! And if the staff had another option other than just giving us our money back and being a little more apologetic would have gone a long way! So now I just wasted another twenty minutes writing this! But I feel much better. LOL I love a good compliment but when you gotta vent, ya gotta vent! Thanks Unilocal

Food always tastes good and fresh, however you will have to remind the drive thru employee to hand you your drink. We have driven off before without our drink(our bad), and once we almost drove off and had to sit and wait patiently while waving our hands around to get their attention for them to reopen the window to get our drink.

We visited this unit on 1÷20÷14 around 6 pm. I had to repeat about 4 times that I don’t want cheese nor mayo on my sandwich to be understood(not that difficult, is it?). And, then when I got the item, it had mayo. So I took it back to the cashier, and she said«I didn’t make it». I was speechless. Worst customer service of any fast food stores we have visited. Will go no more to this place! By the way, the customer online site and phone for Carl Jr. customer service(which I tried first before Unilocal) was a joke; it got no where!

Clean dinning room area, and the food was served quickly. Not a bad little spot as chain fast food goes.

Went to get Bacon Biscuit sandwich and had a coupon. The coupon(#8504) said 2 for $ 1.88. It was rung up at $ 1.98. When I asked why, she said she put in the coupon # and that’s what came up. I asked to speak to a Mgr and of course she said she didn’t have one there. I’m DONE with Carl’s Jr. Commercials Suck, Food sucks and SERVICE… what SERVICE!

Went in to use the bathroom before I ordered. It was THE dirtiest bathroom I’ve ever seen at a fast food place. It obviously hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. I walked out and didn’t order a thing there. Can’t imagine how dirty the kitchen must be.

I ordered the chicken salad. The chicken was pathetic and tasted like it was canned or processed. The lettuce was tough, dressing very runny. If I had to judge all their food based on this selection, I would never go back, nor recommend it to anyone.

I like the food. My favorites are double western bacon cheese burger low carb style, fish tacos with extra sauce, hand dipped chicken tenders. But I have one complaint. At the drive through, they take your order, take your money, and then often ask you to park. The problem is that sometimes there’s no place to park, sometimes they forget about your order and you have to walk in to get it. It’s just rude. What’s the point of having a drive through if you don’t give me the food? I’ve passed my thoughts on to management to no avail. If you want better service and you have to walk in anyway, I suggest Good Olé Burger around the corner, Fosters Freeze on Spring Street or In-And-Out in Atascadero. Just my two cents.

Ate here 11:30 pm on a Sunday night 7÷31÷11. HORRIBLE! I ordered the hand breaded chicken sandwich. The piece of chicken was ½ of the bun and it was as hard a a rock. After driving on the infamous G-16 for three hours in pitch black, I didn’t need to add insult to injury with a terrible late night dinner.

A great option off the 101 when driving down to LA. This Carl’s Jr has a Green Burrito, and the Green Burrito has fish tacos that taste very similar to the fish tacos from Rubio’s, but for less money, and it comes out much quicker than at Rubio’s. A junky treat!
