Let me start with«I LOVE Justin wine» and have been their wine society member for sometime now. This was my second visit to the winery/tour and tasting but this time booked the Vinter’s Villa over the Labor Day weekend to even enhance the experience. Location: amazing as you are right above the warehouse where the tanks are as well as you overlook the vineyard– so after hours there is no one else but you in the gated vineyard. Be aware(no one told us ahead of time) that production is everyday and the workers show up between 6:30−7am. For us it was not an issue as I am up at 5am each day and start work early, however, if you cam here to relax and are used to sleeping in– you will definitely be woken up. Décor: French country style, lovely for the most part, however, very cheap fixtures like the faucet in the kitchen that is about to come off, so is the sink in half a bath, light bulbs are out, etc. Staff: The housekeeping is very friendly and responsive, the place is very clean. However, we had major issues with staff knowledge of this property and ended up booking another hotel room since someone there told us there was no half bath downstairs. Now so you can understand– this place(Justin Inn) has ONLY4 rooms so how is it possible the staff that answers the phone cannot remember simple thing about one of these rooms? Food: This is for breakfast only. Was supposed to include eggs/bacon and daily baked goods with coffee and specifically be delivered at 8ish. We asked for dry well done eggs and when they could not confirm that can be done(not sure how much hassle could it possibly be at $ 575 a night to buy PAM spray and scramble some eggs) so we decided to decline their eggs and I just made bfast each morning myself. The baked goods were scones each morning, coffee came once and then since they were late each morning, I just asked for coffee grounds and made coffee myself as well. The second day they did not even bring milk or cream(mind you we asked for skim milk 5 months ago when we reserved the villa for 3 nights). So good thing once again we had our own skim milk as well as tea. The only tea they have are 2 tea bags, none of which is regular(as one would think for bfast would be there). Kitchen: This is supposed to be a full kitchen, however, even coffee maker is missing(manager said the pot from the coffee maker broke and she did not have time to buy a new one) — again– such a small thing and it cannot be done at $ 575 a night? That is unacceptable. Glasses– if you need an adult drinking glass– you will not find any– they have maybe 4 oz shot glasses and wine glasses only. The silverware is cheap from Walmart and so are the knives that have not been sharpened since purchase. There is a full fridge, however, the ice maker is not working(they will bring you ice upon request if you can get hold of someone). Just a reminder– they are only staffed for few hrs a day– then you are out of luck– seems crazy to me. Each time we tried to call we had to leave a message and play phone tag half the day– and there is no phone signal in most of surrounding Paso area just an FYI. Overall property: Two story, 1.5 baths, 1400SQFT, Living room, dinning room, kitchen and one bedroom. The LR has a pull out sleeping sofa. It is lovely just seems they cut corners on kitchen items(as I have mentioned above), towels are very thin and not soft, the power outlets far and few in between(for example you do not have one on neither side of the bed), there is huge deep walk in closet with 3 hangers total, there is no safe and you have to wait(per their sign so they are aware) 10 – 15 minutes for hot water to come on. An investment of 1000 – 2500 dollars(depending on type of water heater) investment would solve this problem on the top of California is in the biggest drought in years. This place has so much potential but seems it is poorly managed. At the price per night simple small investments can have this property stand out and be even more prosperous.

This review is based on a viewing of the suites. Very impressed with all the modern contemporary design. Each room comes with a bottle of complementary wine. I didn’t see the Vintner’s Villa which is a two story country townhouse, nested production facility complete with full kitchen, dining room, living room with sofa bed.

Wow, did we have a fabulous time here. There were six of us. We had brunch at the Restaurant, which was outside seating overlooking the vineyards. Cory gave us the most excellent service. He accommodated some of us that had particular likes for wine and poured us tastings on some whites to make sure we wanted to drink what we liked. We ended up drinking everything that he opened, and then some. I had the skirt steak on a green salad and it was amazing! The steak was so flavorful and tender. Everyone else was happy with the food too. We ordered the cheese platter as an appetizer, and it was also very good. 2 of us had rooms already booked, and when we asked Linda if they had another room, they did and all of us stayed the evening. We were treated with great kindness. She also gave us a number to a limo company that will come out to the winery and either drive your car, or theirs and it was reasonable. He took us to town for dinner and then off to Vina Robles Ampitheatre for a concert. The photos on Unilocal are out of date. There is not a pool or spa anymore. the rooms are modern, yet beautifully decorated. We stayed in the suites just above the lobby and they were gorgeous! Huge jet tubs, windows that viewed the winery, a gas fireplace, rocking chairs on the porch, living room and bedroom separate. A cheese plate in the fridge. Fresh local coffee ready to brew in your room. Oh, and we took a cave tour and it was so informative. There is a reason why ALL of their wine is delicious. Take the tour and you will find out. Thank you Just Inn for a fabulous time!

The Just Inn was wonderful. It was my first time staying there and I’d love to go again. The room was just beautiful and I loved sitting out on the patio at different times of the day as the views were gorgeous. Sitting by the spa and pool in the evening in such private surrounds was so unique and enjoyable. The breakfast in the morning rounded out the wonderful experience. The staff, room, food and surroundings made the weekend a very special experience. Thank you Just Inn.

JUST– inn was terrific stayed three nights. Remember this is a B&B so you dont roll over and hit the room service button. What you get is a feeling of actually being away. The secret is(for me) the very nice breakfast served each morning at 9AM. Wineries don’t open until 10AM so it’s perfect. We dined at Deborah’s room twice. AMAZING, do the wine pairing, they give you like 1⁄3rd servings so no worry about getting too intoxicated, but the experience is best with the pairing. The rooms are nicely appointed sort of Elegant Country, not gawdy Victorian. The Justin wine tour was far and away our best tour(Cave tour), but we loved everything about our sojurn to Paso. I really hated to leave, and it rained everyday… We were a party of five with 3 rooms. Loved it.

I have eaten here before and thought it a handy spot for a family lunch for my mother’s 90th birthday. We had reservations and the staff that greeted us was most gracious. There was virtually no one there so I was surprised that it took a while to seat us. The menu has changed to «comfort food» — heavy and mostly meat, i.e. angus burgers, fries, bratwurst etc. Despite being mostly empty, it took almost 45 minutes for our food to come and the prices are way too high for what you get. There aren’t many(any other) choices in this part of the wine country but I wouldn’t do it again.

This is a review for Deborah’s Room, the restaurant situated within the Justin Winery/Just Inn property. We love Justin’s wines and we’ve stayed at the Just Inn, which was exceptional. But the focus of this review is Deborah’s Room, which is one of my top five dining experiences. We’ve eaten at Deborah’s Room on four separate occasions. And each time it has been as good, or better, than the previous visit. The menu is amazing — two entrees I recall vividly are:(1) halibut that was served on a bed of Israeli couscous; and(2) squab with a slice of fois gras on top. Decadent and incredible. The menu has been different every time we’ve gone and that’s okay — trust this chef! Of course, the wines are gorgeous, luscious Justin wines(I think they offer some other wines, too, but why is that even necessary?) And the service puts this place completely over the top. I have never had service like the service here — I think they have cameras in the dining room that allows them to watch from the kitchen. The timing is impeccable; empty plate is stealthily cleared, low water is refilled quietly, as if by ninjas. The dining room only has about five tables. Talk about quaint. It is the perfect place for a small, quiet dinner. Maybe a romantic meal or a special occasion…

Love Wine? Looking for a relaxing and romantic Bed-n-Breakfast? Head over to the Central Coast of California… Justin Winery features a quaint little Inn on their property. You can wander around the grapevines, ride a bike, or lounge in your luxury suite during the day. In the evenings, enjoy a gourmet dinner with wine pairings — you won’t be disappointed. The rooms are each decorated with a different Old-World theme: Tuscan, French, English. However, accommodations are limited(only 4 rooms), so plan accordingly. Crush season is by far the best/popular time to go.
