I’ve never felt more ripped off. First, I called to make an appointment and to confirm my insurance is covered here. They said yes. The day before my appointment, they called to confirm and asked me to come in at 10 instead of 10:30. I said sure. I came in at 10AM on a Saturday. I wasn’t seen until 11:15, and I wasn’t finished until 12PM. I signed in at the front desk, and I had to wait until my name was called. Then, my name was called to fill out background info, which was a verbal interview at the front desk(HIPPA violation). During this time, I asked the receptionist if my insurance covers an eye exam and glasses. She said no, then went back and asked another employee and came back and said yes. I asked about the coverage for glasses, and she said that after I get my prescription, I have to speak with the lady who deals with picking out glasses. . After almost 2 hours of waiting, I finally had my prescription. I go to the lady who deals with the glasses. The lady tells me that they don’t take a Vision Service Plan(VSP) for glasses. They knew from the beginning that I had a Cigna Vision Plan. After a $ 35 co-pay, I wasted 2 hours for a 5 minute eye exam and no glasses. Hopefully, I won’t be charged any more than that. Sketchy business. Thank you for wasting my time and money. Expect to wait and wait and wait. You’re seen by a student assistant. Then asked to wait to see the actual optometrist, which takes another 30 – 45 minutes.
