Good reputation among locals but we have been disappointed time and again. Average pizza at best and very pricy. Not friendly or appreciative to boot. Always try to support small family run businesses but unfortunately find no reason to patronize this one.

This pizza is really great! The customer service is excellent! However, they are overpriced for a local pizza place in my mind. They could consider offering some coupons or something in the mail or at their business.

Be prepared to wait and wait for your order. We ordered a pizza and a salad. We were told that it would be 45mins. When we got there, it wasn’t ready and we were told that it would be another 30mins for our order. Really??? So we went back up after the second wait time. I swear the crust tastes like Chef Boyardee from a box. So NOT impressed. The salad was awesome. The pizza was not.

Capuano’s Pizza is hands down the best pizza I have ever had. Their pizza crust has a nice crunch to it but it’s not too hard, the sauce is delicious nothing too fancy, the cheese is string but not too thick, and their pepperonis have the perfect amount of crunch to them. They also put a delicious Italian pizza seasoning on top. Side note ask for the house made oil and vinegar dressing. I like to dip my pizza into the dressing. It might sound weird, but it is delicious. If you have time I would recommend dining in. It is a great mom and pop pizza joint that looks like it is straight out of the 70’s. Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is pretty cool. Perfect for little league baseball pizza parties. I grew up eating Capuano’s once a month and I have been hooked ever since. Capuano’s will forever be the benchmark pizza that I compare all others to.

Thoroughly disappointed! Just waited over an hour for my pizza. Got them home and the BLT is not even close to their own description on their menu! They stated it is «loaded» with bacon and we could barely taste it. They also state it is made with mozzarella cheese and then«topped with more mozzarella cheese» …not so much. You couldn’t detect the taste or even see mozzarella. The worst is that they add it is served with«mayonnaise on the side» and they gave me packets of Miracle Whip! Ugh! Locals swear by this and we haven’t had it in years… thought we would give it another try. Would take a lot for me to try again… probably not going to happen.

Haven’t been there in a while the pizza sure has changed. No cheese on the pizza and the price was outrageous. I might just switch back to DiGiorno’s from Kroger.

My first time getting pizza from here. It isn’t bad. I was told that now that I’ve moved to the area that this is the best pizza in town. For a small little place they seem to do a lot of business. Hope it will tasty just as good tomorrow when it is cold.

Although my friend loves this place, I wasn’t impressed. I guess everyone has their own likes and dislikes when it comes to pizza and this one just doesn’t suit my needs. The crust was hard and fairly flat. It didn’t really taste like anything. When I opened the box to eat it cold the next day(best way to eat pizza in my opinion), it was hard as a rock. Sorry, guys. You were all super friendly when I picked up my order, but I just don’t like your pizza!

Caps never disappoints. The subs are great and pizza is out of this world. They make a great salad with a house dressing of oil and vinegar. It is well worth the drive and money.

I grew up on this pizza so I might be biased, but this is the best pizza in America. I have searched high and low, sampling the best pizza offerings from San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Chicago, Detroit and many more but nothing beats Capuanos.

This is the best pie in Pataskala, arguably the best pie anywhere near East Columbus. The sauce is fresh, not at all like at chains and the pepperoni is perfection. However, fresh ingredients come at a price, thus the four stars, because cheap it is not. Worth looking on their site for coupons, however you do have to print them out, wish they would accept them on a phone instead. The service is friendly, walk up counter style. They don’t deliver unfortunately.

Went here the other night for pizza. It’s definitely a mom and pop pizza place that looks to have been here forever. That is always a good sign for a pizza place. We dined in. You walk up to what looks like a pharmacy counter and order your pizza and refill your Lipitor prescription. In honor of national bacon day, we ordered pepperoni, bacon, and half jalapeño. They did not accept my AARP prescription drug coverage card. We waited at one of the indoor picnic tables. There was a TV in the corner but otherwise it’s pretty quiet inside. People mostly were getting carryout but it was pretty roomy and comfortable inside. The pizzas were smelling delicious. Also, the tv had a built in DVD player and I bet they would let you play some of your Wings season 5 DVDs in it. The pizza came out quickly. We ordered a medium and it was pretty big. It was probably enough to feed three people or enough to feed two Ohioans. I noticed right away the jalapeños were fresh. This is immediate bonus points in my book. However, the most important part of any pizza is the pepperoni. As previous reviewers have mentioned, the pepperonis are the smaller kind that curl up and get the burnt edges. These are the absolute best. Testify! The cheese was gooey and the sauce was tasty. So far everything is 5 stars. Unfortunately, the bacon was disappointing. The bacon was bacon bits style bacon. I prefer when pizza bacon is chunks of bacon strips. All in all, the pizza is the important part of the visit and the pizza was really quite delicious. I would definitely come back again and try more pizzas and subs.

So far, worst customer service in Pataskala. I have brought my family in twice now. The first visit we walked in and despite having someone at the counter, we were never greeted. They just stared at us and walked away. We sat down at an empty table in an empty room and decided on two types of pizza. I walked up to the counter and hit the bell as instructed on the sign. Nobody came. Since I was new to the area and a supporter of local businesses, I decided to give whoever was in the back another few minutes and another ring of the bell on the caution that maybe they didn’t hear me. After I rang the bell a second time, I waited a few more minutes until I caught a shadow around the corner. I had to flag someone in the back to take an order. I am not fond of having to notify someone out of sight to take my order. The food was good but, we decided there were other places cheaper and with better customer service to support. Fast forward a year later, I am out again with the family(July 12th @ ~1445−1500(2:45 — 3:00)) and decide to give this restaurant another shot. Once we entered through the front door, I made eye contact with a gentleman at the counter who then walked into the back. I told my family to grab a seat and pick what they wanted as we did previously. After a few minutes, we finally decided what we wanted and I went up to a vacant counter. I rang the bell a couple of times and nobody came up to take my order. I peered over the counter and saw a couple of folks in the back talking. «Did this just happen to me again?» I kept thinking. Angered, I told a very hungry family to pack up and leave. Terrible! Never coming back.

Best family owned shop in the county! We’ve had more than 50 pies over the years and never were we dissatisfied. Great subs too! If they had a pinball machine they woulda got 5 stars from me.

i’ve tried Capuano’s repeatedly because for some reason they are a favorite of my family, but the pizza is just not good. I don’t think they use any spices, the sauce is bland, the dough is bland… completely flavorless. Cardboard, as another reviewer put it, is a good description.

I grew up in Reynoldsburg, and not until my husband and I began to date, I had never eaten at Caps. I was missing out on 20 years of amazing pizza! My kids get so excited when we go in, and the staff is wonderful. They know their clients by name, and make you feel at home.

Love love LOVE this pizza. Hands down the most memorable and great tasting pizza I’ve ever had. I grew up in Pataskala, but live in Los Angeles now and EVERYTIME I come home it is a requirement that I go here. My life is an endless search for a pizza like this, but I just can’t find it. Perfect sauce. Perfect cheese. And the perfect pepperonis that curl up and trap that glorious grease inside. It’s not NYC style. It’s not deep dish. It’s its own glorious style. Parlor style? Is that a thing? I don’t know. But it’s damn good. Also the side salads are great with the oil and vinegar mixture. Small is pretty large, fair warning! They pack a lot in that package!

The cheese pizza is delicious. But the real reason i give them 5 stars is that when i was pregnant, i called EVERY pizza place in pataskala(thank you, google) and they were the only place willing to put saurkraut on pizza for me.(I brought in the saurkraut). Thanks for indulging preggers cravings!

I’ve driven by this place so many times and never had any desire to go in. I’m glad I finally went in. Now I’m pissed that I drove by all of those times before. So many missed opportunities for good pizza are now gone. Oh well, now I know. These guys make some really good pizza. It’s probably the best pizza you can get in the area. I actually can’t think of anywhere else in the Columbus area that I’ve had better pizza at than what these guys make. They use killer pepperoni slices that are thick and crunch when you eat them. They make their pizzas in all sorts of sizes so if you see one of their specialty pizzas they don’t limit the size of it to large or extra large like the other chain pizza places do. I’m thinking the sauce may be home made(I should have asked that when I was there) as it tasted insanely fresh and not like some generic big brand sauce on most pizzas. The prices were alright. There are tables to eat at inside of the building and the employees were very friendly but you’re pretty much bussing your own table and serving yourself which is fine as the pizza is worth it and is the star of this place, not the dinning facilities. Take the pizza home and enjoy a cold beer at your house. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is because I grew up in New York and they set the bar for amazing pizza. This is great pizza but it’s not NY pizza. 4 stars will have to do.
