Bab Al Hara Hookah Lounge

I’m never disappointed with the mixed grilled platter here. The meat is cooked to perfection and they never gip me on the garlic butter. I can slather garlic butter on everything.
Anywho, this place rocks and the food is always great. Perfect for families. There is a hookah section out in the back which is outdoors if you like that stuff, personally not a fan of it at all.
I recommend this place to everyone. Love the food and the service was great too. The cooks behind the counter were pleasant as well. Can’t wait to come back here!

We have been going to this place for 4 years now and yesterday was the last time I will ever eat here. I walked in and did take out, the cook told me it would take 10 minutes so I gave them 15 minutes only to find myself waiting for 30 minutes for 1 order of the mixed grilled kebabs. I saw the cook take the kebabs off the skewers with his bare hands and while doing so, other male patron walked in which he then greeted them by shaking their hands and returning to touching the kebabs with the same hands he used to shake their hands. Hygiene/​food safety is a main concern after seeing this and I will never eat or recommend this place.

This place is in Paterson on Main Street in jersey. It’s in the middle of Arab town so lots of competition. The food was good but the ambiance was missing. It was obvious this place was more of a take out joint. I went back to pick up a few times after I dined in so the three stars are for the food!

This is a newly found spot my friend and i just found. After our old hookah spot in Paterson recently closed so we decided to find a new one so we’ve been jumping all around the area. Hands down this is the best spot! The hookah is great and you can get any mix you’d like for $ 15. The courtyard in the back of the place is nice and quiet and there a big fountain in the middle with fish so you get the nice sound of water and you almost forget your in the garbage dump of America, Paterson NJ. I love this spot and its never crowded AT ALL.
If you want a noisy hookah bar with a DJ and hot chicks, this isn’t your place.
But if you want some good food, good hookah and a very mellow, chill spot to come with some friends or whoever, this is it. I suggest coming when the weather is nice though so you can sit outside, day or night; maybe bring a laptop or something too so you can listen to some music.

Okay so my review disappeared but I’ll write it again. I found this place a few weeks ago and their hookah and food is amazing. The person that madness the hookah is banned Ramos and his hookahs are in point, his mixes are amazing. It’s only $ 15 for any hookah flavor and he’ll make anything you ask for. The food here is really good, I usually get the a sandwich or platter and it’s delicious. The prices food the food is in a fair range and they also have a buffet for $ 20 that’s going on for Ramadan for iftar. The outdoor seating is one of the best in the area and it’s a very chill spot. Everyone that works here is friendly, the place is family owned and they are amazing people and they are so friendly. I highly recommend checking this place out.

Place went down so bad since is was sold to a new owner, the new guys don’t know anything about Arabic food at all. I placed an order a week ago and went to pick it up and it wasn’t ready because they had to give away my order to someone who’s been waiting for a long time and his order wasn’t ready. I watched them giving away my food to that guy and told me that my order will take an extra 20 minutes. Not even worth a star, I wouldn’t go back again. There’s so many options near by

this place is a rip off. make sure you look at the bill before you pay. they overcharged me $ 100’s when I came in with a big party thinking they can get away with it.
the food was good, I give them that, but will never go back there.
the owner and the chef had a little play in front of me blamed each other because I caught the overcharge…
I do not recommend this place, there are so many other choices around.

I’ve gone to a number of hookah and middle-​eastern restaurants. This is by far my favorite. The hookah is great and always pulls nice. They offer a variety of food and drinks. It’s also B.Y.O.B., which i actually prefer.
There’s seating both indoors and out. Usually music and or a projector playing to keep you entertained. The prices are definitely the best in the area. No dumb service fees or time limit on your stay, like some other places nearby like to do.
I will most definitely be going back again.
