There’s a reason why I stopped coming here years ago. The restaurant is bigger and a bit nicer looking inside now, but the service is crap. Honestly just go get real Peruvian food somewhere else and go get yourself Chinese food somewhere else also. The fusion of these cultures does not work. The food is lacking something or in fact too much salt. Oh this place only get packed by older Peruvian families no one else comes here.

This still seems more like a glorified Chinese takeout joint than anything. Sure there are some distinctly Peruvian things on the menu, like lomo saltado, but they didn’t even have aji sauce! I think it was recently expanded, but it still reminds me of a school cafeteria. Tried the tallarin saltado, arroz chaufa, Jade Garden house special wonton soup, and lomo saltado. They were pretty average. Tallarin saltado was essentially house special lo mein at any Chinese takeout joint, arroz chaufa was yeung chow fried rice, and the house special wonton soup was wonton soup with some egg noodles, pork, and duck. Lomo saltado was the only thing we ordered that you couldn’t find at an average Chinese takeout place. It’s also pretty expensive for what you’re getting.

I don’t usually write negative reviews about places, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t for this place because sadly enough, I found the ‘Peruvian” cuisine to be missing in all of the dishes we ordered! The spanish menu was traditional in the name of dishes without a doubt but once ordered and after seeing the english menu they brought my husband and son, I was eerily weary of what was coming because that menu read like each typical Chinese menu in Chinese take-outs EVERYWHERE! If I sound frustrated it is because I am. We took the drive to passaic and despite my reluctance because of the restaurants appearance, I decided to give it a try because of all of the Unilocal review… ever SO dismayed! Although I am not Peruvian, I love Peruvian food and have a favorite place which is amazing. Now while I get that this is supposed to be a FUSION of the two — Chinese & Peruvian, like I said — It was JUST Chinese! You can’t name a dish«Chaufa» and serve House Special fried rice! You can’t name a dish«Tallarine saltado» and serve house special LoMein! And you CAN’T serve«Jalea»(seafood mix deep fired) and NOT serve the traditional sauces — Aji Amarillo Sauce and when I ask for it, offer me hellman’s mayonnaise packets and creamy italian dressing ANDTHEN have the nerve to ask me where I’ve eaten jalea before because its different there… different where? «la comio en Peru? porque aqui es diferente.»…No I didn’t eat it in Peru, I’ve had it here in many different restaurants and they’ve all had the sauce. The ONLY thing latin served with the food was the typical red onions, tomato and cilantro medley with lime juice. This is strictly a Chinese restaurant and there’s nothing wrong with being such but you can’t be so deceptive!

This place is amazing. I’m so glad that they bought the location next door. No more waiting in line for a table! The service is good and the food is great, the best peruvian Chinese food around.

Hands down the best peruvian Chinese food in the area! I love the fried rice, fried wonton, and lo mein. Actually the entire menu is great. I have been coming here since I was a child 6yo. I’ve tried other places but no one can beat them. I will continue to come and bring my family here.

As many state, it’s «Peruvian Chinese» food, NOT your mediocre Chinese fast food! The food here is definitely better tasting, more authentic, larger portions, and yes, you definitely need to try the«Sopa Mixta Wantan!» It has plenty of Chinese cabbage, sliced pork, scallions, tender wontons and bite size pieces of duck! The wontons have this delicious sesame & ginger taste! Awesome! I recommend the«Pato al Ajo»(Garlic Duck) if you dare! I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because of the«not so appealing» area it’s located at. When you get here, you’ll see exactly what I mean.(Hint: just wear your bummiest clothes, and leave your jewelry home!)

Best Peruvian Chifa in NY/NJ area. We come here all the time! We always get the Tallarin Taypa, arroz Chaufa, Pollo Tipakay, Chancho con piña, Pollo Enrollado, wantan frito and Inca Colas. Chifa is one of the biggest things I miss from Living in Peru and this place is just like being home! Cash only and Spanish is a plus! Enjoy!

LOVETHISPLACE! My parents started coming here since I was a little girl. It reminded them of foods from back home in Peru. It isn’t the fanciest place inside or out but those kinds of places are always the one that have the best tasting foods. Their prices are also amazing, everyone loves a good deal. Their tallarin frito con pollo(Fried spaghetti with chicken) is the best and also Pescado Mensi(Fish with garlic sauce). I think I have probably had everything in the menu.

Great place. They have wonderful lunch specials. I get the mixed combo or pineapple chicken. Lunch special comes with a free bottle of water or can of soda. Remember, it is Peruvian Chinese, so from the fried rice to chicken will be a little different from the usual. Also, try the lomo saltado there, it is great.

I love coming to this place. I think it is the best Chifa restaurant in the tristate area. The food is very consistent and it always tastes the same. I love their chicha morada. It is so tasty and rich. The wonton in their wonton soup is delicious. So soft and tender. Their tallarin saltado and arroz chaufa are so good! Every dish here tastes very traditional like food from an authentic chifa(Peruvian/Chinese) restaurant should taste.

The food in this place is so good. I travel from New York to come to this place to eat some great food and drinks. The décor of the place is not great but the food makes up for it. The servers only speak Spanish so beware. they know very little English so it makes it harder to communicate with them. If you know Spanish like the back of your hand you be all set. By the way my dad is the executive chef there. Recommend: Sopa Wonton, Lomo Saltado, inca cola, chicha(its a Peruvian drink mad out of corn), arroz chaufa especial, wonton frito, polo con pina and Tallarin saltado. overall love the food and their chicha is the best hands down. So go try everything and if you order to much take it to go and share the food with family.

Been coming to this place since forever for Peruvian Chinese food. The food did taste better before, but I still like coming here regardless. It’s hard finding a good place for this kind of food. I’m actually Peruvian and think it’s one of the best in its category. The restaurant is pretty small and not the most nice looking… mostly one of those barrio restaurants, but I’m more interested in the quality of the food. The portions are a pretty decent size and is good for sharing. My usual dishes are chijaukay(some kind of chicken, BUT very good!!), sopa wantán(wonton soup), tallarines fritos mixto(fried lo mein with everything) and vegetables.
