The Art Factory has been closed down by the city of Paterson for safety violations. Too bad, it had great potential to be a fabulous venue for art.

Absolutely beautiful inside. This place is full of character and has hidden treasures around every corner. The studio spaces are all unique and beautiful. Definitely worth checking out.

I used The Art Factory for my first photo shoot and launch party. I loved the historical value of the venue, my only mistake was deciding to do an event in the June heat without any air conditioners. I loved the raw space of the International Gallery. My photos from the events were spectacular and as far as the most bang for your buck its the place to go.

Beautiful industrial space. Unfortunately red flags got sent up when 1) the prices on their website mysteriously went up right after our tour of the building and 2) they wanted 100% deposit to hold the date we wanted, a full year before the event. We then Googled the owner’s name, and… well, you can look it up. Combined with the other red flags, we decided it wasn’t worth risking our money.
The facility itself is really strikingly beautiful, albeit quite rough around the edges. The owner talked for a long time about facility upgrades they were planning (including revamping restrooms and putting in a pool!!), but I am very doubtful that they’ve happened.

Scotch Plains, NJ
You need to check this place out. The historical value alone is enough to visit. George Washington and Alexander Hamilton held court here. It was refitted as a large venue to parties, meeting alike. I love the place and you will too.
