Menu is better than what it was a few years ago. I stopped by for lunch as I was in need for a roast beef sandwich. I was the only one there, so there was really no wait for the food. Service was so/so from the start as I waited at the counter for about 5 mins before someone came to the front to take my order. The roast beef sandwich was pretty small for a super beef and they charged me for the lettuce(still tasted good). The fries were very obviously refried to heat them up so they were pretty hard and not very good at all. Drink was full of ice so I probably got about 4 sips. They have a few different combos now which save you some change. Plenty of parking.

Best roast beef sandwich in town, move over Kelly’s! I’ve been going here for years and every time is like the first time, AMAZING. I usually just stop in for a big beef with BBQ sauce, but if I’m looking for a good meal, they have a dinner plate that includes a sandwich, fries and a huge salad for a reasonable price. They also take debit/credit cards now! All the guys are really nice, never had a bad experience here.

The woman at the counter is entertaining. Love the Beef 3 way. Makes me giggle when I order it. This is late night food. Preferably best eaten when drunk.

Best roast beef on the North Shore. The woman who runs the window is a hoot. The roast beef is rare and moist. The O rings are crunchy delights — not the HoJo bread crumb clumps of horror that you find.

I have tried the roast beef at other Bill and Bob’s locations and it is great, but I did not try the roast beef here. I got the mozzarella sticks here and they are the best I have ever had. They were fried to absolute perfection. Some places have the ones where the cheese is tough to chew. But this was not the case at all here. You get a fair quantity for a fair price.

The BEST roast beef! I live in Seattle but every time I visit Boston I have to stop in Peabody for a sandwich. Yes, it’s old and may look a little run down, but the food is delicious and the employees are friendly. Keep in mind it’s cash only so bring lots with you. I love Bill & Bob’s!

Nasty nasty nasty veggie burgers! Went with 2 friends to try the new«bean veggie burger». Possibly the grossest thing that all of us have ever tried! Not too friendly staff. Fries were ok. Good for drunk people(which there were plenty of) that can’t find fat, sugar and salt anywhere else at 2am

Tonight I got 5 grey hairs in my Roast Beef Sandwich, demanded my money and walked out. The two employees looked mentally slow, and were over the age of 65, restaurant is out dated, they still serve soda in Styrofoam cups, get with the program! But honestly a bunch of pieces of Grey Hair in my Food, never going back, Please Beware! Also the tables in the place were really sticky, my arms were sticking to the table., like they don’t clean them, pretty gross!!!

I love Bill & Bob’s. I don’t live in Peabody anymore, but I can’t tell you how many times I whine about there not being such a thing as roastbeef sauce in CT! I’m a bit of a foodie, but I don’t care if it’s dirty(do you ever really eat in?) Don’t care about cash only, I just care about that sweet, sweet sandwich slathered in a sauce i will never be able to duplicate. Thankfully, family still in Peabody allows me occasional visits, and you can guarantee to find me at B&B’s everytime,

Love their Roast Beef! I risk my life to stop every time i’m on rt. 1 headed north. Get the Big Beef with horseradish sauce and LTO. Beats Kellys in every way and open late!

Last time I went to Bill and Bob’s on Route 1 before Saugus, junior 3-way was perfect. The one in Salem, also good. However, this one in Peabody does not do it for me. I even gave it a second shot just to see if it would be any better. No dice. The mayo completely overpowered the bread sandwich I had received. There was a small amount of thick, very well done, dry roast-beef. It just disappointed me so so much. Everything else there is good. It’s just too bad because I live in walking distance and would rather get in my car and drive to Land and Sea to get my jr beef 3-way.

Would you look at that? All these reviews and I haven’t given a single place a one-star rating. Enter Bill & Bob’s. The bad: The roast beef sandwich had dry/listless roast beef, minuscule amounts of sauce and a bun that was staler than a nun’s jokes. It’s cash only. What? The building is pointlessly separated from the street by a parking lot. Not sure what the purpose of this is as it’s probably tougher to spot from the road, but this might be a good thing. The décor is greasy and haggard. That is not a typo. The interior of the restaurant literally looks greasy. People actually go here. My guess is that it’s because of the namesake. The good: This place really makes me appreciate a good roast beef sandwich. Is this place a clear-cut one-star joint? Maybe. I’d say it teeters between a one and a two in my eyes, but hey, I got a quota to fill here.

I went to this place every day of my life my freshman year in High School. Roxy and Stefano still work there all these years later, and they are like family to me, but I didn’t let it sway my review because I’m a conscious Unilocaler. Granted I have patronized this place a rediculous amount of times, but I have seen a few things that would turn you off to a place like this. They don’t run the ship the way the location in Salem does. The Beef is still good though, and their open late. The crowd that shows up around 1 – 1:30 in Peabody is usually a riot too. 3 stars.

If you go here get a Roast Beef 3-Way!(roast beef, mayo, BBQ sauce, cheese). Broccoli bites are also awesome, other than that you can go somewhere else. Might not be the healthiest food but it is awesome, if you are local to Bill and Bob’s you have definitly had a craving for it in the summer around **2am. **Best time for Bill and Bob’s. lol (also don’t think it’s like Arby’s because I tried that when I was out of state and thought it might be good… sucked!) — Deducted a star since its CASHONLY. -

This place should be decleared a National Landmark. Everything is good here. You and your family can eat well here and for a good value. I like this place better than Kelly’s Roast Beef. A Better Value for similar food. My Picks: BBQ Beef Sandwichs, Pizza Rolls

I love this place. I know it looks a little skeezy(is that a word?) to an outsider, but it is delicious. I do hate that they only take cash, but I still stop in whenever I go visit my parents up in Salem. I just can’t stop craving those deep-fried broccoli bites. My whole family likes this place, and so does everyone I’ve ever dragged there for a meal. It’s cheap and tasty. My only complaints: 1) the floor tends to be a little sticky and I’m not sure they really bother to wash the tables often(it’s more of a takeout place anyway) 2) they only take cash — I hate that. But at least there is a bank with an ATM right in the parking lot.

Quite the disappointment, I had always wanted to stop but it was always one of those places between here and there. Stopped in tonight for a sandwich, french fries and drink thang, they had a combo $ 8 bucks… Fries were blah, sandwich required removing the bun to verify presence of meat and the diet coke was, well how can you screw a coke up? No salt or ketchup in the bag or on display for your own bagging to go. Only thing that keeps them at three stars was the not overly stale horseradish sauce.
