Spalenza is a wonderful spa. After getting a couple of massages from Cheryl I enjoyed them so much, I became a member, which allows me to get a 60 minute massage every month at a discounted rate. The salon is very elegant, friendly and comfortable atmosphere.

I’ve had it. all. Hair, waxing, facial, massage… I love that they now carry Aveda products — everything smells amazing.
You come for the outstanding service, but are wowed by the views of the lake! This mansion makes you feel just like a princess!
Top-​notch, downtown services while staying on the North Shore. My favorite moments have been when I come with friends. It’s fun and social — just what the doctor ordered!

Received the best facial I’ve ever had and routinely get my highlights and haircuts done here with Silvanne. She does a wonderful job and is extremely particular to ensure that the product is always exactly what I asked for. She uses the highest quality products so after the bleaching process my hair doesn’t feel dead and brittle as it did after seeing my old hairdresser. Hours are super flexible. I’ve also gotten my eyebrows waxed here and, as expected, they came out beautifully. Would recommend any of there services. Absolutely beautiful location and view to take in while beatifying as well, doesn’t get much better!

Love this spot! The mansion itself is fabulous & overlooks Sauntaug lake. The staff is exceptional. After having bad experiences elsewhere that left my hair with straw-​like consistency, Silvane is the only stylist I’ll let touch my hair. She takes the time to explain the products & their effects on my hair as she applies them & always makes sure to provide the best & most comfortable spa-​like experience around. If you’re trying to find a salon that offers top of the line services in addition to a relaxing setting that pampers you from head to toe upon arrival, look no further! I also highly recommend a facial with Francine or a massage with Cheryl. Those two are absolutely excellent at what they do & never fail to put me in my most relaxed & rejuvenated state. 5 stars all around.

I have had numerous massages here from a few different masseuses, all were enjoyable. At a spa where all of the masseuses know what they are doing Francine stands out. She is extremely welcoming, and the utmost professional. I would highly recommend Spalenza to my family/​friends looking to «work the kinks out» in a second, especially Francine!

So in all fairness I should let everyone know that I work here as a massage therapist and esthetician. I just have to rave about the owners hair skills though! I’m a very picky platinum blonde. Silvane has completely surpassed any expectations I had for my hair. I realize that the silvery blue gray white blonde look is not for everyone, but the fact that she’s been able to give me what I asked for is so impressive. I’m going to post some photos, but it’s hard to gasp just how difficult this color is to achieve. I see clients come in all the time and regardless of what they choose to do, they leave looking amazing, with a huge smile across their face. So proud to work for this talented woman!

My previous regular hair stylist left the business and I was scared to try someone new. I rarely get time to get away from the house without my son and getting a good haircut and highlight can cost a lot so After a horrible experience nearby, I was afraid to waste precious time and money. I came here today for a cut, highlight and a mani/​pedi. They were great! I know nothing about hair. I just know I want highlights that look natural and compliment my face/​skin.
The stylist took the time to ask questions and understood what I wanted. I have dry frizzy hair and sometimes when I get a blow dry job done, it’s still frizzy. It looks gorgeous!
Towards to end, a gentleman came down from a massage and said how great it was. I think I’ll be back for a massage and certainly for my next hair appointment!

I loved my massage with Silvane, she was amazing!
Deep tissue, she really knows what she is doing!
I recommend her services to anyone, she can help if you are in pain, or relax you!

I went to Spalenza late April 2016 with my cousin to get a massage treatment (after a hectic week!). They graciously accommodated my cousin and me at the same time and same room which we wanted so we can enjoy the massages together!
The property is magnificent which added to my experience of being pampered — check out the back deck with the view of the lake.
People are friendly, very responsive to my needs, and I highly recommend it.
The only nicety I could of asked for was a steam room. They should definitely consider getting one because it was be amazing given the beauty of property and experience.
Highly recommended — def. going back!

Dave is the best Massage Therapist I’ve ever had, so experienced! The services are great, Try Aveda Tea and PLAY Yoga! The Mansion is gorgeous and the staff is so talented and friendly, you will never feel any snooty women there. You can always bring your friends there for a tour or fun event and view the peaceful Lake Suntaug! :)

I found this place while doing some online research. I was looking for a relaxing place for my daughter and I to get massages on Mother’s Day. The reviews were good and the place looked very promising. They didn’t have online booking available for that day so I sent them an email and hoped for the best. Someone called me back within a half hour and just like that we had two massages booked for Mother’s Day!
When you drive up you instantly notice the gorgeous grounds, lakefront view, just a beautiful converted house. They took us around and showed us the salon, massage rooms, patio, everything looked great. The massages? BETTER THAN ANTICIPATED! Probably the most relaxing massage I’ve ever had. Then we checked out and were pleasantly surprised to see the prices were more than reasonable. And they gave us a first timers 20% discount.
I cannot recommend this place enough for massages. They have a really beautiful couples room with a sauna in it as well. Very relaxing atmosphere and the people working there are incredibly nice and professional. I’ll be back very very soon :-)

This is my first time visiting here and I got color and full foil, manicure and pedicure. Silvane and Josie were great! They were very efficient so I was out quickly with beautiful hair and nails!

Great Place! Great haircut and beard trim for a reasonable price. I was a walk in and they were able to take me. It’s in a beautiful old mansion near the water, so the location is very relaxing and all the people were very nice

I just got the best haircut & highlights by Silvane at Spalenza. I am so pleased with the final look & she is such an extremely talented stylist. The experience was relaxing & the mansion is absolutely beautiful. The views of the lake are spectacular & made the visit that much more enjoyable. I love that they are an Aveda spa & salon because their products work miracles on my skin & hair. Will be back & I definitely recommend her to all.

Massage services are great. Building is gorgeous. Most of the staff is exceptional. Except for one. I am highly disappointed with my hair cut in this place. I went in run of the mill trim and some layers now that my previous haircut had grown out. I had a stylist named Joise. She didn’t really listen that well and my hair ended up being uneven when in left even though I told her a few times. The next day I went an email and was contact by management to come back in and they will correct any issues. Great. Told the stylist I had prior was new… Okay forgiven, we all have to learn at some point. Made an appt for Saturday 04÷23÷16 @ 1030 with June.
Went into Spalenza and was greeted and told sorry for the hassle and the issues. Was introduced to June. First words out of her mouth was you told me she had short hair. Well okay great to meet to you. Mind you I don’t have long hair, it’s only to just about my collar bone. So then she comes over and wants to touch my hair. Okay I take out of my pony and she’s touching and pulling which is now grabbing onto my industrial piercing. So I move my head to the side. She goes keep your head straight. I go um my piercing. She looks at management and goes well I have somewhere to be by 1130. So now I have had enough. I go you know what this isn’t working for me. She goes well I’ve been in the business for 37 years and you have too much hair to work with or something to the extent. Yes I have thick hair but never has that kind of statement been said to me. I believe the women at the front desk was Dana, but she steps in and says June stop… she walks away. I go to Dana I didn’t need an attitude about her being in the business for 37 years. So June hears that and walks back out, now I guess trying to make this right and was going to talk to me. I couldn’t even look at her. And yes that was rude of me but at this point I just couldn’t deal with her. She’s starts to walk away and I go bye. And then she turns around to start to say something else but she is stopped by Dana again. I get offered my money back and that’s is all well in good.
I have never been treated like that. 37 years in the business June and that’s how you deal with a customer and talk to someone like that in front of two other people getting their hair done. These other two people were in an ear shot.

Not very impressed. I went in for a pedicure. I felt very uncomfortable. It was very open w no privacy at all. There was a gentleman hairdresser with a great personality that made it more
Pleasurable.

Just got my first massage ever and this was definitely the place to go. I got a hot stone massage and i left feeling so relaxed it was unbelievable.
In the beginning you fill out a form to indicate the areas where you want to be targeted, any injuries or tension you have and any allergies.
When yo first enter the room it’s dim and relaxing with peaceful music. Every step I was asked if the pressure was alright and if the heated stones were good temperature.
My legs, arms, back, and shoulders were all massaged. Only regret was not peeing before hand!

Spalenza is a beautiful, clean spa with exceptional services .
Silvane has brought my hair back from near death to an amazing vibrant and healthy new look.
She’s an amazing colorist and stylist !

I came here because I couldn’t take my hair anymore and was looking for something open on a Sunday. What an amazing find! The place is beautiful and I loved my cut and color! It’s especially nice since I didn’t really know what I wanted, but the owner spent time helping me go through different options and had an instinct about what would work and what wouldn’t.
Really enjoyed my experience and I will go back.
