We waited 10 minutes for this place to open at noon and were told 5 more minutes for the yogurt to freeze. Who can’t be ready by 12:00? Also having a ten year old I have been to my fair share of yogurt places and they always offer tastes, not yo tops. Not to thrilled with the experience.

Bought a cone. employee wouldn’t zero out the scale forcing me to pay a third more… I notified her and she said«you can pay for the cone and the stand to weigh it or you can leave the ice cream». Will not be returning.

Yo Tops is a frozen yogurt chain, opened last year, with three locations in south metro Atlanta. The original location is in Fayetteville and the other two locations, opened Summer 2011, are in Peachtree City. Yo Tops is self-serve style froyo at 42 cents an ounce, which is right in the middle of self-serve froyo prices in Atlanta(low: 33 cents, high: 49 cents). On my visit, the following 10 flavors were available: Original tart Orchard peach Watermelon sorbet Rocky road White chocolate mousse Cherry amaretto Wild strawberry Red velvet cupcake Tahitian vanilla Dreamy dark chocolate I sampled every flavor. The flavor selection was interesting and reminded me of Yogurtland — more sweet flavors than tart. Original tart was the only tart flavor. I prefer tart flavors and was disappointed there was no taro flavor. The manager told me she likes taro, but given the demographic and conservative tastebuds of clientele in the area, tart flavors understandably don’t fly as well. The yogurt is sourced from Honey Hill Farms in Arkansas. Every flavor was good. My favorites flavors were original tart, peach, cherry amaretto, and vanilla. The cherry amaretto was a unique flavor that had a nutty finish. The red velvet flavor tasted just like red velvet cake. It was also the thickest and smoothest flavor. Generally, the froyo was on the icy side. Toppings-wise, there were over 50 toppings to choose from. These consisted of everything from cereals to gummi worms to fruit. Most were typical of a froyo joint, but I did see some cool ones like«chocolate rocks.» These looked like rocks, but were actually chocolate. Bonus points to Yo Tops for offering mochi(labeled as «rice cakes») and strawberry bubble poppers. The store itself is new and clean and has a simple yet cute design. The manager, Beth, was very friendly. This Yo Tops location is located on Highway 54 in Peachtree City near The Fresh Market. It’s in a small shopping center behind McDonald’s and Chick-fil-A. The sign above the store says«Frozen Yogurt» instead of «Yo Tops,» which is pasted on the glass.
