Ms. Jeeda is amazing! I decided to go natural and never thought I would be able to manage my natural hair. I came to her with a small afro and a patch of hair missing on the top of my head. Now I have length and healthy hair. She is educated and continues to educate herself regarding natural hair care. She is the best in Hawaii hands down!!!

Wow! I’m so happy I allowed Jeeda to do my hair. I’m natural and it’s been over 5 months since a professional touched my hair. When I came to Jeeda my hair was very tangled and some of my hair was starting to loc! I was embarrassed by the condition of my hair but I was in desperate need to get my hair done.
Jeeda took hair time and brought my hair back to LIFE! My hair is straight and silky. To my surprise my hair grew from the last time I had my hair straighten. Even with my damaged ends my hair is right above my bra strap!
I noticed some reviews commented on her prices. Yes the prices are more expensive compared to the mainland but everything is more expensive than the mainland. Before I came to Jeeda I also thought the prices were expensive but the cost to maintain a business, to get products, and to become licensed in Hawaii all comes with a fee. I’m so happy I did not let some reviews and her prices discourage me for coming to Jeeda. She really takes pride in her work!
I will definitely come back to Jeeda. I now have a stylist in Hawaii!

I have been with Jeeda for 3 years now. She was with me from the moment I started my all natural journey. All my life my hair has been mid to shoulder length. I did not want to go short,. With Jeeda i didnt have to. She kept my hair healthy, she kept my length, and always looking good. I never had to do «the big chop», thank God, because she knows how to care for hair. FYI hair length now is to my bra strap!
Jeeda is awesome! when she silk press my hair, people think I’m wearing weave. The woman is A++ with the flat iron! Her skills allow me to continue to be a versitile style girl! And it never ruins my natural curl pattern.

Let me start off by saying Jeeda is AWESOME. Extremely knowledgeable about hair, especially natural hair. I was looking for a new natural stylist as my stylist (who I truly loved) had left the island. I read the reviews on Unilocal for Jeeda and took a chance… best decision ever! I arrived late, as I had typed in the wrong address for the shop (FYI she is no longer at Salon Salon, but in a Shop called Kingdom Kutz located behind Cutter Doge in Pearl City) and had to back track in traffic on Kam Hwy. Jeeda was super understanding. She got to me not too long after I arrived. She started with a wash and moisture treatment (which is awesome) and I sat under the dryer for a few minutes. I had told her about my experiences trying to blow dry and flat iron my own natural hair and she gave me some drying techniques to minimize frizz. I got a silk press and I also needed a trim which she recommended as it had been a long time since my last one. I needed a lot taken off but she offerd to trim a little this time and a little my next visit to retain my length. My experience with Jeeda was great. She’s totally professional and very experienced with NATURAL HAIR… So don’t worry you’re in good hands. My results are AWESOME!!! My hair hasn’t been this straight since my relaxer days and never this silky… The reviews are true Jeeda is the best and she will be my permanent natural hair stylist until either one of us leaves the island.
On a side note the shop she’s in now, Kingdom Kutz, is great. It’s a clean friendly environment, wonderful and professional staff. You don’t have to worry about drama like in other shops and it’s very kid friendly…

A little expensive, especially in comparison to Mainland prices, but worth it. I am transitioning to natural & so glad I found her. My hair hasn’t looked or felt this good & healthy in years!

After reading the great reviews, I had to give Jeeda a call and it had to be one of the best decisions I’ve made about my hair, ever! The experience was as informative as it was pleasant, and I would definitely recommend her services to anyone wanting gorgeous results.
She is highly skilled and creative and helped me find the exact look I wanted, while also caring for my hair and giving it what it needed. STS treatment + micro link extensions, where have you been all my life?! With only about a third of a head of naturally curly hair to work with, she transformed my mohawk/‘frohawk into a managable masterpiece of wavy, flowing awesomeness!!! It all feels and looks so soft and healthy. Jeeda is truly an artist. She even makes custom wigs!!! I could only give five stars though, because I keep getting way too many compliments and just can’t stop feeling so fabulous. Wish I did the before and after pics, but it looks just as good now as the day it was first styled. I hope to continue getting styled by Jeeda. I have been seeing jeeda since she was working at heads up salon, she now is working at kingdom cutz right arrcoss the street from the old shop which means she is still convienent. I have being seen Jeeda for my oh so real looking extensions (which many of the other clients don’t believe it’s not mine) I have never ha a problem with it fallin out or not being able to last, the only problem with my hair is thy it’s fine and being Hawaiian Filipino It died to stay tight (which isn’t jeeda fault,) besides I like my weave staying fresh so I get it done once a month anyways — jeeda is a must see stylist, n booking in advance is required — she stay booked — with that said good luck and jeeda will be your last stop, of our stylist hunting

truth be told… i am very happy with ms jeeda doing my hair. i was so excited to know that there’s a hair stylist in hawaii that specialize in natural hair. she can do all types of hair! i have to agree with mrs natalie m, she is not «scissor happy»!! also, she teaches you how to take care of your hair and what right kind of products to use on your «type» of hair. every time i go to her, we do «not» gossip as most hair salons tend to do. she talks about empowering, setting goals and moving forward. you know, motivating others!
my advice, make your appointment in advance. do not wait until the day you want your hair done to make an appointment.

I’ve been natural for almost four years, but only been to a couple of professional stylists for hair care. They ALL were lost with regards to caring for my hair and incapable of drying it, styling it, or helping me. Jeeda was highly recommended to me by a friend, and I went to her today. She is excellent! I love the fact that she has been natural her whole life and knows what she’s dealing with. She knew exactly what to use on my hair, how to dry it, and how to style it. She even gave me tips on care for my hair type and how to keep it healthy and looking good. Everything she did and told me today agreed with my own research on what to do. I LOVE how she styled my hair, and I thank God for putting me in her path. As long as both of us are on island, Jeeda will be my natural hair stylist and the only person I trust to help me care for my hair.

My only complaint about Jeeda is that I can’t take her with me when I move (military family)! I absolutely LOVE her and recommend her to all of my friends, natural or not. She is very knowledgeable about natural hair and has beautiful, natural hair herself. She is not «scissor happy» when clipping ends and has really changed my mind about my natural hair in just the 2 or 3 times I have sat in her chair. I originally booked my consultation to have her relax my hair and she gave me a better alternative with the Design Essentials STS System that has continued to keep my natural hair manageable and looking nice the way I want it. She was truthful and real with me about the damage that I was doing to my hair with only «cowashing» and not shampooing and also with using alcohol based gels. I really did appreciate her passing on that knowledge and helping me to better my hair.
Her professionalism both over the phone and while I was in her chair and her ability to easily work with different textures of natural hair is enough to make me hold on to her business card. She stays very busy with clients so book your appointment in advance if you need your hair done because she is certainly worth the wait!

Never again will I go back to Jeeda to style my natural hair. She is a good stylist, but poor when dealing with the health of the hair. She blow dried my hair on a very high heat, basically my frying my hair, while attacking it with a brush. She didn’t use a heat protectant at all, and as a result I’ve become the victim of irreversible heat damage. My once tight, coily curls are either extremely loose or bone straight and the only remedy is to cut my hair. I would not recommend her to anyone who is concerned with the health of their hair. I was excited to find a natural hair «specialist» in Hawaii, but obviously I was wrong. I will never go to hair salon again. So-​called professionals will never care about your hair as much as you do.
