Okay beers; very nasty port a potty. The bines are lovely to see and the staff were friendly. Nice outside seating area.

LOVE the beer here. The place has tables outside and some cornhole boards. Lovely view of the lake and the silos On a dairy farm. I love it here. Very chill. Lots of hops and a guest cider tap. Stop by and chill for a while with the cute doggies!

Super nice tap room! Great brews! Charming pourer and friendly brew dog! Loved the heiferspelter … Perfect mix of spice and very refreshing! Looks like a cool place to hang, with corn hope, fire pit and outdoor Pavillion.

I checked out Climbing Bines while road tripping upstate New York with my girlfriend. We’d heard good things about this brewery and weren’t disappointed. A good range of beers, free pretzels, affordable price to taste them and best of all, got to take the glass home. It even survived the journey back to Australia! Nice homely feel to the place and you can sit outside and take in the views if you want. Would recommend!

Great place! Nice variety of brews! Welcoming & Friendly owners/staff. Cool t-shirts & hoodies. Plenty of sitting/standing areas for big groups and special events. I’m not an IPA girl but, I do like ciders. Mix the two together and it makes a «Snake Bite». I would recommend ordering one!

Such a great place. Got the beer flight and was really impressed with the selection. Super friendly group of people and the on staff dog made the experience that much better. Grabbed a couple t shirts and got a free tasting glass. I will be going here again in the future.

This is a good place for hoppy beers. Which makes sense given that it’s a hop farm. The tasting room is good sized and they have a nice area to drink pints. It’s also a very pretty area to enjoy the view.

Climbing Bines is a nice addition to the growing«beer trail» in the Finger Lakes. I have been to several craft breweries. The beer at Climbing Bines was not my favorite. However, it was a really cool experience to be up and close to growing hops. The price for the 11 beers and 1 cider was very reasonable. The casual environment with picnic tables would be a great place to enjoy a flight on summer day. In a nutshell, I hope Climbing Bines is representative of the growing beer trail in the area and the grounds alone are worth a stop.

The place is beautiful, the beer is extremely underwhelming. I think the 5-star average review is the product of Climbing Bines being in an area that really lacks for good beer. The Farmhouse IPA smelled exactly like sweet corn, which made for an interesting drinking experience. The house pale ale and guest pale ale were equally sub par. The IPA was the highlight, though that was mostly just due to a very solid nose, which was unfortunately followed by an underwhelming taste being undone mostly by a too-light body. The IIPA lacked the quality nose of the IPA, but continued the trend of really uninspired flavor. Go there, check out the hop vines, and then head to Abandon Brewing for much better beer and an even more beautiful view.

It was a good brewery, though I didn’t have the same comfort level as some people expressed. I didn’t learn anything about farming hops or much about their beers generally. I have not tasted at many small breweries, so maybe this is typical, but if you buy beer it goes straight from their tap into a little jug with a screw top. I.e. you need to drink it shortly thereafter. I wasn’t aware of this and felt like I had to follow through with the purchase, even though I knew I would have to waste a lot of beer.

Listen. I’m one of those people that always has an empty growler in her trunk and my internet passwords may or may not contain the words Rhizome, Lupulin, or Cascade… but I digress. Climbing Bines is probably the best way to spend a lazy Sunday. You may think you need to stop at every large vineyard while driving around Seneca Lake but you don’t. Just stop here, order a pint, play some corn hole and shoot the breeze with a loved one. you won’t regret it.

Awesome location/view…just beautiful!!! Tried a flight and a pint, keep the glasses(although an IPA pint was $ 8). Hop farm on site… hidden gem along Seneca Lake Wine Trail.

Stop by and try the tart cherry beer best beer so far at a great local brew house. They grow their own hops which is very cool if you have never seen it grow

All around great stop! the people are awesome, the beer is better! They even have a 9 hole Disk Golf course that runs through their Hop Fields… just an awesome environment inside and out. Great IPAs and a cherry summer ale coming out soon that I can’t wait to try(made with local cherry juice)

This place is awesome for hops and beer lovers alike. First of all, they grow their own hops, and it’s extremely noticeable, there are rows and rows of hops — great photo opportunity [noticed?]. When it’s nice outside, hanging out on the deck would be a great spot. There are high top tables made of wood slabs, they’re beautiful. Lounge chairs to hang out and a few people had their dogs outside with them. Cornhole boards for a friendly game with strangers. The beer tastings are about $ 6(?) I can’t remember for sure but you get to choose 4. My +1 says they’re all delicious and he chose the Emerald Ale to take in a grenade [good for weeks if unopened, but only 48 hours when it’s opened]. They sell tons of merch and Frisbees and other knick knacks. There is a «mug club» for the locals, we were told about $ 250 but maybe you get a GREAT discount and live close so it’s worth it. Service is pretty good, the guy was friendly but it got super busy so it was difficult to talk more about the place with him. If you’re coming with a large group, call ahead so they can prepare. They didn’t have enough menus for them to check off so I know they were a bit flustered, so call ahead! Great place with live music on certain dates — we’ll be back this weekend with friends!

Friendly staff. Laid back atmosphere and good variety of beers. Big Ivan’s red, stout and Hefeweizen were really good. $ 8 for 10 tastings and you get to keep the cute, little tasting glass!
