Hopwell Super Buy-Rite

Large selection of all types of alcohol, but buyer beware. The wine section has ratings posted for certain bottles, but when you check, the year of the rave review does not match the year on the bottle they are selling. This was true of almost every one I looked at in the France section.

Drove by this place all the time, until one day I’d hit up all my usual shopping spots looking for a certain liqueur and nobody had it, so I decided to drop in and check.
Great selection of beer and liquor – I don’t drink wine so I can’t speak to that, but their selection of beer is fantastic! Hard to find, craft, and a lot of it is cold! Liquor section was a little hard to navigate but an employee was happy to help me find what I was looking for. Never crowded and it seems to be more popular among the college folk in the area. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Only 4 stars because the outside looks a little sketchy – looks like a giant dive bar/​saloon. Looks past its exterior and it’s a great place to get reasonably priced beer and liquor!

I was in the area and stopped in to buy beer. I was very impressed with the large selection of beers and wine this store has. This Super Buy Rite had several wall to wall refrigerators of just cold beer. There were so many they broke it down into sections. One section is imported, one section was just IPAs, and speciality craft beers that are very hard to find. One section just regular beers like Bud, Michelob, Miller, Corona, Rolling Rock etc. My friend was looking for Dog Fish Head beer. This Super Buy-​Rite had four kinds alone of this beer. There were so many beers it was overwhelming. I was looking for a Grapefruit Summer Shandy. They had tons of it. The Summer Shandy was on sale.
Since I wasn’t familiar with the store I asked for help. A nice gentleman walked me over to where I needed to find the beer. He was very knowledgeable when it came to finding and picking a new beer. The prices at the store are very good, and they always are running specials. There is also a large selection of wines, and champagnes, and hard liquor. The store is located in Pennington, New Jersey on the circle. There’s plenty of free parking.
If I’m ever back in the area I wouldn’t hesitate to come here it’s a great liquor store.

It’s a bit out of my area, but whenever I am near Pennington, I stop by. I have even gone there in search of hard to find items (an excellent rhubarb liqueur) You can search their website to see if what you are looking for is available here. They probably have the best selection of beers in Mercer county. Very good selection of wines as well, but you must be prepared to wander around the case displays. Very good prices if you join the bottle club. If you have friends from out of town who are beer snobs, bring them here.

Cannot beat this store’s beer selection and staff. My favorite. Micro brews from across the country and global favorites and advice from each employee on choices. Have been introduced to more brews here in a year than I imagined were available. Ciders, too.
Have taken out-​of-​town beer snob friends here and jaws drop.

Absolutely love this place. Huge selection of both foreign and domestic beers at decent pricing. I’m not a wine guy but they have a gigantic wine selection as well! Love the single import beers selection, always too many to look through. I even asked if I could get a special order of Haitian beer and they were very courteous about it saying that it’s possible and the pricing isn’t too bad for a special order, the manager just quit recently so unfortunately I’ll have to wait till the next manager is in to get that order through. Great prices great selection and courteous service gets this place 5 stars.

Great selection of beers and bottled micro-​brews. Wine selection is massive and you can spend all day looking. As far as hard liquor, most are available with a few brands missing here and there. But, they carry all major brands and are very reasonably priced.

A place where the staff cares what they have for a selection. It is great to be able to walk into a place with such a wide variety of ales, liquor, wines, and a staff willing and available to help you find what you are looking for or make a new discovery.

I’m moving them up from two stars to four stars. First, I’ve not had a wrong price rung up since my last review. Second, they’ve painted the parking lines and it’s now quite clear that cars need to be parked at an angle. Well done. Maybe, just maybe, they read my review on Unilocal and decided that the lines did need to be painted.
I see that the other reviews for this store are all over the map from excellent to «disgusting building.» I think that this store, a stand-​alone building on the north-​west corner of the Route 31 circle in Pennington is being confused with the liquor store that is *also* on the circle and is in the same building as Shoprite. The «attached to Shoprite» store is awful and I think that all the negative reviews here are related to the «attached to Shoprite» store.

OK, I just can’t take it anymore. This building needs to be condemned, it is so fucking funky inside I almost started gagging today, thinking about what I must be breathing in. It will take a lot for me to step inside again, it is just such a disgusting hole.

Went here the other day to pick up something on my ride to Philly; what a mistake. Smelled like wet garbage and the selection was terrible. Prices are more expensive than PA and to top it off the cashiers are very rude. What a giant waste of time. I would recommend the store right down the street instead to save yourself a headache.

Ok, ironically called super-​saver, the prices here are actually super uncompetitive, with even basics for cooking such as a 750 ml of smirnoff $ 6 higher than two stores just down Rt 31. (ouch!)
The location kind of is a hassle to get to when it’s crowded and the parking lot is just a mess to get in and out of, and the store itself is almost as dingy as the one .25 miles away.
Other than that, it’s great, and i guess +1 star for the ironic title, as well as the fact that it does have OK selection at least.

I just stopped in to pick up a few non-​essentials today. Check the date… that’s right, the afternoon of New Year’s Eve. Not the best day for shopping at a liquor store unless you absolutely need to. The place was packed, the lines were long, but the service was fantastic. They had plenty of staff offering to assist people with their selections and the lines moved briskly.
Selections are terrific and now that they are competitvely priced they deserve a «6.»

this place isn’t just my favorite liquor store. this place is my god damn CHURH, okay?! THE SELECTION IS UNBELIEVABLE!!! i have learned about so many great beers from this joint. the BEST!!! you absolutely can not f**k with super savers! i’m pretty sure it will end up putting me in AA one day, but you know what? i don’t care. it is the best liquor store in all the land.

This has always been an excellent liquor store with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The beer and wine selections are expansive, and now that it’s a Super Saver, the prices are competitive with Joe Canal’s.
I recently tried a White Burgundy for the first time and loved it. I went to Super Saver to buy a bottle for my wine rack but honestly didn’t know where to begin. The employee I spoke with provided me with a quick and informative lesson and the bottle I purchased was wonderful.
