Shop-Rite Bar & Liquors of Pennington

Bar is now closed but you can still purchase alcohol goods there prices are regular with regular stuff thats is very simple place to shop now.

Went once a few months ago and didn’t visit the bar, but the liquor store was sad. One room with shelves only on the walls and a small island with a register in the middle. It was poorly lit which made the whole experience a little creepy. Didn’t have what we were looking for, but prices seemed pretty good.
Honestly, design seemed haphazard and as if it was an afterthought to the Shoprite next door and they only furnished it with leftovers from the store. I’m sure it’s great for last minute beer runs after shopping next door, but it’s not somewhere I would go regularly.
Haven’t experienced the bar.

Shop-​Rite Bar & Liquors is not pretty to look at on the inside. While there is a bar, it’s stacked full of stuff. My guess is that it no longer serves as a bar. The store, located next to the Pennington Shop Rite is a convenient stop on my way out of the supermarket.
From the outside, it looks to be a large liquor store. From the inside, it’s pretty small. The selection is decent, but not as extensive as some of the other area liquor stores.
They may consider, at some point in the future, updating their store to make it more appealing to the shoppers. If the bar is no longer a bar, they might consider removing it and incorporating the extra space into their renovation plans.

We used Shop-​Rite Liquors of Pennington (facilitated by Emily’s Café) to supply the bar at our wedding recently. They were very easy to work with, though sometimes it took a few calls to get a hold of them (no voicemail). Quotes and invoices were delivered very promptly, however.
We asked for a limited bar, with beer, wine, and a couple hard liquors. Most of our requests were very specific, including a white wine that many places don’t carry, and they were able to get them for us. They recommended some red wines in our price range, and we ended up getting compliments from our guests on the ones we chose (we never tasted them).
Only a tiny markup over going to, say, Buy-​Rite and getting everything ourselves, which was totally worth the convenience. We didn’t have to worry about mixers, amounts, delivery, ice, nothing. We paid by credit card over the phone within a few days of the wedding. They «bought back» every unopened and unchilled bottle, while we took home the rest – saving us a ton of money and fueling the afterparty all in one swoop.
