Bobby Likis Car Clinic / PreRepair®

My brakes failed on my Wrangler so I had it towed to the Car Clinic since they have such great reviews. The next morning I received a call saying that my car needed $ 2000 in repairs just to make it safe for the road but I really needed $ 3300 in repairs to fix everything that was wrong with it. I sent the estimate to my dad, brother, and boyfriend and they all suggested that I have it towed somewhere else. I paid Bobby Likis $ 57 for their diagnosis (they didn’t perform any work) and I had the car towed elsewhere. I watched my boyfriend and his brother take apart my brakes expecting to have to replace the entire braking system. All they found was a leaking wheel cylinder. The part cost me $ 11 at O’Reilly’s. They could not find anything else wrong with the car despite the Car Clinic saying that I had so many other serious problems (I still have the estimate detailing all the work they claimed it needed). It’s been 3.5 months and my Jeep is running better than ever.

All I can say is be careful taking your car here. Asked for a road worthy exam before a move. Was given a laundry list of items that needed attention. Only one was of true concern, questioning the quality of service I asked for a second opinion from a reliable mechanic and to my my surprise was told my car was in great shape and that «although they like to make money» there was nothing that needed fixed. Bobby quoted me 3,300 dollars of repairs, other guy quoted 0, yes I’m a female but also a military member. Displeased with service. Called company to express concerns only writing this because left feeling very displeased with overall quality of service. Sorry guys, just being honest.

If you’ve ever moved and don’t have paperwork from prior shop, or even just don’t have all your paperwork, or have made small repairs yourself, don’t try taking your car here. Unless it is purebred and has all its papers, this shop is too good for you. Understandable that it may be a liability to guarantee your work based off this, but if you want more customers, just have them sign an affidavit releasing you from liability. Very inconvenient and frustrating after your car has been sitting there being diagnosed for four hours.

Took my car here for a transmission leak, they found the problem easily and worked on my car right away! They kept me informed and even though my part was hard to find they managed to find it in the city and for the best price too. I was surprised at how affordable the service was. Plus they called a week later to check up on me, I appreciated the call.
