As an OH transplant who loves Italian I was excited to find this quaint little place. The food was great — stuffed grouper and white pizza were my favorites! About a year ago the quality and taste of food went down! Don’t know if there is a new owner/cook but the food and service is horrible now. After about the 3rd order screw up and poor food quality, we no longer go there.

Ordered 3 to-go orders based on some catering they did for a retirement party at my office today. The Chicken Alfredo was amazing at the retirement lunch for over 150 people. HOWEVER, I made the mistake of ordering it tonight and it was absolutely terrible! It was so bland and almost tasted like they were trying to stretch the sauce to last by diluting it. I was so disappointed and I have been coming here for years! Don’t think I will ever order the Chicken Alfredo again. Also, I got a kids spaghetti to go and I made the mistake of asking for sauce on the side. Don’t do that! I got a box full of noodles and a small plastic salad dressing container of sauce. Really! That is not enough sauce for 15% of the meal. Thanks Petrellas!

We showed up & our hostess wasn’t even smiling. We didn’t even hear what she said after she dropped the menus on the table. Our waitress didn’t introduce herself. What really bothered me the most was that she refilled my sister’s lemonade with a cup, not even a pitcher. She couldn’t even bring her lemonade in another cup. Then she didn’t check up on us the entire time we were there. Spaghetti was not that great. However, my sister enjoyed the chicken fettuccine. Honestly, I probably won’t be returning. If the service would have been better, then yes.

Went here based on the reviews posted. I guess this place is great for other Italian cuisine but not pizza. Since this was my first time I got a small cheese pizza. It took 30 mins to cook. I probably should of questioned my decision to eat here when after walking into the restaurant no enticing aroma even lingered. The pizza was definitely not good. You could see where the cheddar cheese was sprinkled on, it wasn’t tasty at all. The crust was dry and tasteless. I ate one slice. Will not be returning here. This restaurant is located near the publix shopping plaza. It’s got decent seating. The décor is really outdated.

Don’t let the shopping strip fool you, this is the best Italian food I have ever had. Worth the wait!

Eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. I love the lasagna. My boyfriend always orders the godfather and ends up with enough leftovers for another meal the next day. Good Italian food is hard to find in this area so if that’s what you’re looking for, definitely give this place a try.

Delicious food! The only reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is that it takes a long time to get your food. In their defense, however, it’s because so much of it is made fresh.

Unassuming strip mall location, but very good food and friendly service. OK wine selection, but not great. I had the fettuccini Alfredo with crispy chicken. It was hot, good and plentiful.

This is a weekly regular dinner spot for my family and I. All of the food is made fresh upon ordering… Great service… Great atmosphere. If you go ask for Kerri as your server. She is the sweetest person and genuinely cares about her customers. Such a great mom and pop spot. 5 stars hands down!

This is the best Italian in North Pensacola. The staff is very welcoming and the food is always spot on. They have daily specials and you often see people waiting to get in. The portion sizes are large and there is no reason to walk away hungry. If you need a good Italian fix, try the lasagna and salad, paired with garlic bread and you cannot go wrong.

We make 2 or 3 trips to Pensacola every year and Petrella’s is a favorite every time. We go mid-week to avoid the crowds. Everyone from the 1 year old to the Grandpa(me) come away happy and well filled. It’s difficult to pick favorite dishes as we have varied tastes in our family. Servers are always friendly and helpful, tolerant of the little ones and the old joker as well. Despite the limited wine list we keep coming back and back again and again

Went for the first time tonight, and was so disappointed. I got the veal Marsala and it was basically a plate of grease. Veal was poorly cooked and the mushrooms left something to be desired. The appetizer combo wasn’t bad and probably the highlight of the meal. I guess I will continue looking for my go to Italian restaurant in pcola.

I’ve had lasagna all over the world but this lasagna is crazy enough my fav! I don’t know how they make their sauce but it’s crazy tomato sauce. They tell me you can buy just the sauce to add to your own recipe. Yes it’s that amazing. Service leaves something to be desired and it does take a little while to get food to go but I’m assuming they make things to order as its a small mom & pop. Let me reiterate — get the lasagna!

Shrimp Diavolvo flatbread appetizer was served hot, fresh and exactly as described, will order again. Sausage n mushroom pizza had plenty of mushrooms, a little light on the sausage, but again, hot, fresh and satisfying. Drinks stayed full, server was on point. Dining room was full by 6PM with folks waiting to get in. Comfortable, clean and casual. Reasonable prices. Beer choices should be expanded to include some local selections. A nice place-recommended.

This restaurant is in a Publix shopping center, that is across a corner from a Walgreen’s. Our wait for seating on a Saturday evening was about 45 minutes. They don’t take reservations. If they did I’d rate them four and a half. As it is, I give them a three and a half.
