Update: large amounts of the plaster are chipping off. They claim it’s from calcium nodules and refuse to fix it. I now have a pool with tons of missing plaster.

My experience with Arizona Pool & Spa Renovation was exceptional. We were having some problems with our existing pool relative to blockage and potential pumping problems. They came out to our home and analyzed the problem, resolved it. They were very professional and knowledgeable which may us feel we were in the hands to resolve our issues.

They refinished my pool last summer and everything is still beautiful! This time we were having problems with our old pump and filter, they came out and tested both and gave us a really fair price considering the prices we got at the local pool store. Long story short they came out the next day and replaced both, hauled away the old stuff and everything is working perfectly! Thanks again to the guys at Arizona Pools and Spa Renovations.

I agree with Dan, not a good experience. Initially, I was unimpressed by the salesman that was sent to my house to sign the paperwork. I think it’s extremely unprofessional to take personal phone calls while you are trying to make a sale. Not to mention, I was given a time window, not a set scheduled time. What is this? Cox? I assumed that my pool would look exactly like it did before the replaster, only with brand new, stark white plaster. Not the case. I originally had diamond shaped pieces of tile placed as markers on my steps and benches. Granted, I opted not to have my tile replaced(because of the outrageous prices) but I expect my diamonds back in the steps and benches… didn’t happen. One would think they would mention that they would not get replaced but that was never said. Day of drain, everything went smooth. Day of chipping, everything was fine. Two days lapsed and then they replastered. The plaster was fine, however they broke 2 of my sprinklers, left huge chunks of white plaster all over my grass that I had to clean up, and my landscaping in my side yard is now white instead of natural rock color. I didn’t expect to have to fix landscaping after paying as much as I did for a pool resurface job. So, back to the pool. I was instructed not to use my vacuum for at least 2 weeks and to brush it twice daily. My pump was set to main drain and the pool was brushed twice a day. After 2 weeks, the owner, Mike Fusco, stopped by to add calcium. He saw that the dust was still on the bottom of the pool. He told me to keep brushing it but only to brush it now 3x/day. I stated my concern for the plaster dust staining the bottom. He told me to keep the pump on, brush it, and not to use my vacuum until the dust is gone. Mind you, this is 2 weeks out from the initial plaster. So another 2 weeks go by and all I seem to be doing is pushing all of the plaster dust around the bottom so it can settle in another spot but nothing was getting drained. So now it’s a month and I asked another company. They said after a month, I definitely should have been using a vacuum by now. I installed the vacuum only to find that after all the debris cleared, my plaster is now stained and spotted with brown spots. It looks TERRIBLE! I was told by Mike that it’s my fault for not brushing it adequately. He knew that I work 12 hr shifts and that 3x day was a demand that I could not meet, probably so he could claim a voided warranty for me not following directions! Long story short, my pool is ugly after paying a lot of money. If I could have given zero stars, I would have. Do not use this company!

This company replastered my pool early this year. Job was done great and in a good timely manner. I’d recommend them. not sure why that other person who commented on them had that kind of service. They did have the lowest prices and I always felt the job was done very well. I remember having companies come check it out and quote me. Don at this company was one of the few who stuck around and explained things thoroughly. He was also the only one who went into the drained pool to check everything out. Don was kind enough to take a personal interest in my education too and got me in touch with someone aviation who became my mentor

Paid $ 4000.00 for a pool re-plaster, tile cleaning, light replacement and jet nozzles replacement. Shame on me for letting the sales rep come to my job to collect the balance without inspecting the job first as I paid in cash. The tile cleaning was incomplete, missing 2 jet nozzles, pool plaster all over my cool deck and they left black scarring on my sidewalk dragging their equipment into the backyard. I would not had written this review, but I spoke with both the Sales rep and the owner and it has been over 3 weeks and no rectifying and no phone calls. Spend a little more and hire a big name. Wish I had.
