Not many places are open for breakfast in downtown peoria. Good coffee, coffee cake and music!

Went about 2 weeks after opening. super disappointed. I just got a basic hot chocolate to start, I asked for it to be made with Milk instead of water. It took 15 minutes for it to be made(wasn’t busy at all) then when it got to me it was cold, and water based. So I told the lady very calmly I asked for milk based and she said they had no milk… my 2 friends who I was with got Almond joy frappes which in their words was«almond flavored water» won’t return.

I love the space, it’s a really cozy place that just invites creativity. Between the gorgeous art, the especially delicious beverages & snacks, and the friendly service, I fully enjoy myself whenever I’m here. The open mic nights & salsa nights are fun too!

After driving by Buzzed many times, I finally made it a point to try it out. I have mostly been discouraged from stopping by in the past because all the parking in the area is metered. However, I had some free time to kill while downtown, so I strolled on in. The space is a pretty decent size with a minimal setup: very spacious, basic seating, hand-painted art on the walls, etc. And the staff was friendly enough. I ordered a plain latte, as it is something I used as a baseline for quality. It was served in a lack-luster styrofoam cup(a minor pet peeve of mine when I’m ordering in), but was pleasantly surprised by the tastiness of the latte. There was one thing bugging me about the atmosphere that I couldn’t put my finger on for a while, then I figured it out. It was dead silent. In all in favor of a peaceful environment to sip my coffee and get work done, but ambient/background noise is sort of a calming touch to a coffee shop. But that problem is easily solved by popping in ear buds. The nature 2.5 hours I was in Buzzed there was only one other customer. ONE. And that’s because Buzzed is the new kid on the block with nothing special to offer. I didn’t dislike Buzzed, but given the choice between Buzzed and the other coffee options in the vicinity, it comes in last.

Upon entering Buzzed, I was surprised by the atmosphere. There’s a lot of available open space, limited tables, and no customers other than the guys in my group. The lighting is dark with hand-painted artwork on the walls. There’s a wide selection of ready brewed coffees to choose from and the typical coffee shop custom coffees available. I ordered a 16oz. Redeye, which is a cup of coffee with a shot of espresso. The coffee was surprisingly very good. The price was even better. $ 2.80 makes me wonder how this place will stay open. The pastry selection was disappointing. Everything was factory packaged(Otis Spunkmeyer) and not much to choose from. Maybe they ran out, but the selection not impressive. The overall vibe of Buzzed is a college no-frills coffee shop. With much better coffee shops within walking distance of downtown, and much more to offer within those shops, I struggle to see where Buzzed offers something different.
