I chose Ethan Allen for my living room furniture. Mary Walther, their design consultant came to my place and made some useful suggestions. I was able to stay within my budget and got some absolutely gorgeous furniture. The furniture arrived on time and was in pristine condition. I was a bit wary after the negative review posted earlier but I am happy I decided not to let it sway my decision!

I wish I had seen Dave H’s review before my purchase with Ethan Allen. We bought furniture, not drapes. I am very happy with the furniture and the delivery men were the best ever. But the customer service is terrible. The store/district manager may be the problem, not sure. There is absolutely no logic to their explanation of store policies and everyone there likes to «pass» the blame on to the next person. Everything Dave H. said is right on.

My wife and I recently spent close to $ 20,000 at your Peoria store and had the worst customer service experience of our lives not once, but over and over and over again. We came to the conclusion that either the store manager Joanne or the company as a whole had a culture of beating the client that was blind to the needs of the consumer. As small business owners in Peoria, we know the value of perception of the client and even more importantly, the value of admitting we made a mistake and going beyond normal means to fix it or even appear to fix it. To care… or even appear to care. Ethan Allen does not care about us, and worse yet, Ethan Allen did not care to look like they cared. Now that is scary. The lack of resolution to our customer service issues ALWAYS were blamed by our designer on Ethan Allen policies and her managements unwillingness to stray from policy(even when the policy did not apply!). We were amazed at the quoting of company policies that made no sense by the store manager Joanne. In a nut shell here is what happened.(STAYTUNEDFORMOREPOSTINGS). In the meantime– go to Lippmans or Goods in Kewanee for furniture and don’t buy drapes from Ethan Allen and expect speed, accuracy or fundamental basics of customer service beyond what you would get at Kentucky Fried Chicken.(STAYTUNEDFORMOREPOSTINGS)
