Great Cigar Spot with friendly staff. Mike and Mike Jr give you the absolute best advice on picking the best smoke. They have a great lounge with 3 Tvs and several comfy couches. A perfect place to sit back and watch Football or Hockey game. They also have a great bocce court and fire pit where Members usually smoke when it’s cool out. They have some odd(in a good way) and great cigars you won’t find anywhere else. I will definitely be back and this will probably be my GOTO cigar lounge this side of the Hudson!

Great place with an awesome staff. Since I first started enjoying cigars I have been coming to Stix, and they’re always willing to help and introduce you to some new smokes.

I stopped in here about a month ago on a Saturday afternoon, and it’s empty, not a good sign from the start. Only the person working there was inside, so I proceed to ask if I may enter the walk in humidor. The person there said sure and then followed me in. Which I took as if I needed an eye kept on me, as to not steal anything. Now, I know all businesses must protect their products, but it just makes you feel like if you can’t be trusted, so why even give them your business. I have been smoking cigars for about 15 years now, and have been to countless numbers of shops, and have been able to enter the humidor without«supervision». Perhaps some had security cameras I could not see, and that could be the reason why. Other shops I know they have a few security cameras because you can see them clearly, but at least you don’t feel as you’re being treated as a criminal upon entering the shop. Especially when I was the only potential customer there, even with security cameras they could watch you closely through the monitors, but at least you still feel like you’re choosing your own cigars in piece. At any rate, Upon entering I could tell right away that it wasn’t properly humidified. I took a quick glance around the rather small walk in humidor, and noticed their selection is small, but did offer some tasty treats. I was mainly there to pick up an Oliva V to puff the same day, they felt slightly dry which you would think they shouldn’t because they’re hot sellers«poor humidification». However, I was itching for one, as they’re just great smokes, and I had an hour before going to where I had to be. The person there right away mentioned they have boxes for sale. Out of curiosity, I asked how much, he right away goes and grabs the box before even giving me a price. Seems like they’re trying to force boxes down people’s throats. So we now leave the walk in humidor with the stick I wanted to puff on that day, and we’re now at the checkout counter. I pay for my stick, without being offered a baggie to store it in or matches, I didn’t bother asking and proceeded to leave. On the way out there were couches where you can sit and enjoy a stick, and there was one guy sitting there, I say hello, and he looks at me as if I had 3 heads, and said nothing back, almost disgusted that I even said hello to him; at least that’s how I took it. He must have been a member or a regular, because the worker and that guy gave each other a big handshake and greeting. So yet another reason why I felt uncomfortable in this particular cigar shop. I apologize for the long review, but I wanted to be precise and let you know how you might feel visiting this place. But then again, maybe it just depends on who you are, if you know what I mean. I have been to many other shops, from the northeast to the southeast, and I’ve had better treatment. At any rate, enter at your own risk, maybe your experience will be better then mine, but I doubt it…

Great little cigar shop with unique selections of cigars that you normally don’t see. This isn’t a cigar shop with the popular mass media brands. It’s a place with unique, awesome cigars and at reasonable prices. I enjoy going there more for the friendly staff and the great conversations with fellow cigar connoisseurs.

If you expect the usual, popular cigar brands you will be disappointed, but if you want to be turned on to top notch brands that you may never have heard of, this is your place. The staff is knowledgeable and if you tell them the sort of smoke you like they will direct you to a few options. A bit on the expensive side though. Comfy lounge to enjoy a smoke and an outside area with picnic table, fire pit and bocce court.

I really like stopping by Stix Cigar Shop in Pequannock on Rt. 23 North on my way home from work. So far, Mike is the only guy I’ve met who works there. He’s a really nice guy who’s always eager to talk cigars and offer suggestions. What I really like about Stix is their selection. Their humidor is only about 10×10, but they utilize that«small» space to stock the store with some sticks that may not be familiar to you. Mike says that’s what they pride themselves on at Stix. You won’t find Nat Shermans(which we both deemed as a bit of a trendy cigar at the moment) and you’ll only find a box or two of Romeo & Julietas. On my latest trip I picked an Oliva Serie V Melanio corona, an Illusione cg4 and an A. Flores Gran Riserva half corona. Stix has a small lounge to hang out in and smoke if you’re so inclined. What sets them apart from other lounges is that they also have an entire outdoor area – complete with a bocce court – for customers to hang out in when the weather is nice.
