I have to agree with some of the other reviews Ive read about this restaurant. Went here for breakfast. the store was busy but not so busy. we were seated right away. The waitress arrived shortly after and took our drink order. during the time it took to get our drinks from another server 3 other tables were seated around us. the waitress came back to take our order. We both ordered the same meal just with different eggs. It took 40 minutes for our meal to arrive again by a different server which didn’t bring our whole meal. By this time my drink had been empty for 20 minutes and the 3 larger tables that ordered after us had already been served. The waitress breezed by asking how everything was but was gone before I could ask her for a drink refill(not that I should need to ask). The Manager also stopped by and asked us how our meal was(they always wait until your mouth is full to come by). he failed to notice the empty drink as well. Finally the waitress brings the bill and asks me if I need a refill as I’m finishing my meal. The food was usual Cracker Barrell Quality but the service was very very lacking.

I usually never give a negative review but today has met a new low for cracker barrel. Placed my carry out order fine, then added an apple pie told was added to order went to pick it up to take to my 97 yr old father-in-law was told pie wasn’t added to order and needed to make separate payment for pie, then told they had no pie after I went off on them about poor carry out service we left unpacked our order and missing 2 sides from 1 order and hamburger was very dry, ordered it medium and fries so limp I’ve seen firmer pasta. Employees there need to slow down and concentrate on getting orders right and not how many bodies they serve. Save yourself a headache and if you want something other than fast food try bob evans

First of all we waited 20 mins for them to bring us our drinks… Of course they were the wrong drinks! Waited another 20 mins. Total wait of 45 mins for our dinner which came out totally wrong and had to be sent back. Got our ticket before we got our food! I will never go to the Cracker Barrel again! I love Cracker Barrel always have. But this one I don’t recommend

The food was great. I had meatloaf and macaroni which I scarfed down. The problem was the waitress and helpers. The waitress never came once to see if we wanted a refill. When we asked a waitress nearby she said hold on. The people who bring the food is different then your waitress and the person who delivered the food was slamming the plates down all by me so I had to hand out the food. Food is good but service is horrible. I will give them another shot since the food was great, but if the service is that bad again I will never come back.

Well I’m back. It’s been 3 years. The fried chicken was good, the Chicken Caesar was good, the broccoli was good quality but slightly overcooked. I am raising my 1 star rating to a 3 star rating. I will probably go back more frequently in the future.

Not very busy for a Sunday afternoon. We’re barely seated had not been given our drinks yet and the server asked if we were ready to order. I ordered the Sunday chicken special chicken was quite good. Hash brown casserole was tough and old tasting, the replacements were COLD, not wanting to try again I ordered green beans they were burn your mouth hot. You could tell the server did not want to be there.

Campfire beef is absolutely amazing. If I could make food like that while camping, Psh I would stay outdoors!

Had a terrible dinner experience at this, perrysburg cracker barrel, may 102014. Ordered the sampler with sugar cured ham — got saltier than the red sea country ham. Then just as I started eating 4:00pm) they dimmed all the lites so a person could not see the food on the plate! WTF are they thinking? I complained. .. offered remedy was to light those stupid kerosene lamps that occupy too much table space. Woo-woo. If you want to see what your eating at cb take a flashlight or insist on a window seat.

You basically can’t go wrong with Cracker Barrel. It is the ultimate in comfort food. Just don’t go when you are on a diet. Cracker Barrel has some of the best service I’ve experienced. Servers are attentive without being over the top or intrusive. They even offered to put the diet pepsi I had left in my cup in a to go cup for me. I never knew this was an option and was quite pleased with the option. My favorite thing to order is the chicken fried chicken. So bad for you but sooooooooo good. I always order it with the cheesy potatoes. To die for. I feel my arteries hardening just thinking back to my meal there, but it was worth it. One of the best parts? If there is a wait for a table, there is a bunch of «country» style items ranging from dishes to clothing. I bought a top here on clearance and have gotten a compliment every time I wear it. Who knew? I love Cracker Barrel and it is a go to place for road trips.

I used to love this place for the«Mothers Breakfast» that included pancakes with real maple syrup. No more since they’ve switched to a syrup/sugar-water blend. It’s amazing how a small change can make such a huge difference in yumminess.

My wife says Cracker Barrel is for rednecks, so I guess that makes me a redneck. They actually offer a low carb menu but when you go to Cracker Barrel, the very point is to indulge and forget about calories and carbs. I had chicken and dumplings, and I swear the sauce is the same that they use on the chicken fried steak. Very salty, so I guess you can forget about watching your sodium for the night. I had sides of green beans and corn. Both vegetables clearly come out of a can and bring back memories of childhood meals. For some reason I really enjoy this type of food. Even more than the restaurant, I like to browse the store, especially the old style candies — Sugar Babies, Clarks, Necco wafers! — and DVDs of «My Three Sons», «Doby Gillis», etc. But I bought none of that. We took an apple pie to go and it satisfied the craving.

Although my Tennessee relatives might have a thing or two to say about the authenticity of the«southern home cooking», Cracker Barrel has always been a favorite of my family when we are in the mood for«comfort food». A national chain, this branch had its off years, but my most recent visits have left me happily sated on «homecooked» goodness. Personal favorites include a sort of chicken blt and anything involving the dumplings. The chicken in the sandwich is marinated in, I think, Italian dressing. Whatever it is, it is very flavorful — slightly tangy but sweet, without drying up the extremely tender and juicy meat. Smothered in thick colby cheese, bacon, and typical dressings(tomato, mayo, etc), it is served with a cup of soup and makes a very nice, somewhat lighter meal. The dumplings, meanwhile, are thick and chewy, soaked in a rich, viscous white gravy. The texture is the main draw for me, but the slightly salty, creamy flavor is very nice. You can have them served up with chicken for a chicken and dumplings plate, which is very good. The chicken isn’t flavored like in the sandwich, but is still ridiculously tender and juicy. Aside from these dishes, the Barrel also offers other«southern» favorites like cured ham, catfish, and fried chicken. These are all served with at least one(typically two) sides, and a choice of biscuit or cornbread. I recommend the biscuits which are almost always super soft and fluffy. The cornbread is okay, but is often a bit too mealy, burned, greasy, and\or bland. As to the sides, there is usually a bunch of different beans to choose from, as well as mac and cheese, coleslaw, vegetables, and so on. In fact, you can actually make a meal out of the sides themselves — country vegetable platter I think it’s called. I wouldn’t say it’s necessarily vegetarian\vegan friendly, though. Traditional southern vegetables always at least have a bone thrown into the cooking broth, and I believe that the Barrel usually follows suit. Do save room for dessert. Depending on the season and the branch, the Barrel has a number of pretty tasty desserts. As of my last visit, there was a very nice pumpkin custard. The custard itself was a little bland, but had a very nice texture — my Mother who was with me really liked it. I preferred the pumpkin mousse on top, though, which was rich, smooth, and tasted great with the pungent gingersnap. Meanwhile, my father’s favorite is the Coca Cola cake — a super moist cake made with the soda and topped with a fudge-like icing(which I like even better than the cake itself). Prices are such that you won’t go bankrupt. Most meals cost between $ 7~11. It always seems a little pricy to me for what it is, but goodness knows I’m too busy to make my own dumplings these days. Of course, catering as it does to the«home cooking crowd», the Barrel plays up a «Southern» kitsch atmosphere. Like all of the branches I’ve been to, this one is painted a dull brown and filled with heavily varnished adequately comfortable wood tables and chairs. The eating area itself is divided into about 4 partitions by more brown lattice work«walls» which keep the noise to a dull roar on crowded nights, even with country music blaring over the speakers. Not particularly pleasing aesthetically. However, the antique knick knacks and photos that cover every inch of wall space are interesting. Come fall and winter, there’s also a huge fire burning in the front. It’s not a focal point, though, or even visible from most of the dining area which I think is a bit of a shame. The service, meanwhile, is always at least decent. There have been a couple absolutely terrific servers over the years, though more typically the service is decent to good. The last visit the main server was okay, but there were a couple absolutely fantastic people in the gift shop. And yes, like all other Barrels I’ve been to, this one also has its own gift shop. It’s rather overpriced, but does carry some items that make great gifts that, especially in the past, were not easy to find just anywhere. There’s usually a section catering to the crowd nostalgic for the 50s and 60s, and another for Victorian lovers. There’s also decent section for«old fashioned» food, another for country kitsch and music, and a nice corner dedicated to toys that your kid will scream and cry for. Every Holiday also finds at least a kiosk or three dedicated to costumes\santas\bunnies\valentines\etc. There are also some rather attractive pieces of jewelry and trinkets, particularly gathered around the front desk where customers pay not only for gifts but the meal. Because of its focus on Americana, it used to be a staple for me and my sister when bringing or sending gifts to friends and homestay families abroad who wanted a piece of something«American». Overall, it’s not particularly exciting, but provides satisfying comfort food in an atmosphere that is comfortable for the family.

This location was my very first Cracker Barrel. Love the fried okra and corn muffins here. Good home style cooking and perfect family get together setting. Like the country store inside and the cool many rocking chair to choose on the porch. Comes in different sizes.

We always get drawn in by the promise of a good«Southern» breakfast and it never quite hits the mark. Grits are watery and the biscuits under done. In their rush to get the biscuits to the table they made the rookie mistake of taking them out too soon. People will wait for good biscuits. Coffee is good though. I feel like they are stuck between wanted to be a diner and wanting to be a restaurant and missing both.

I remember really enjoying Cracker Barrel as a child. Unfortunately, I wasn’t impressed with my visit this time. Food was bland, bathroom smelled horrible. But the service was sweet, I suppose. Good place to go for nostalgia’s sake, but maybe don’t sit down for food at this one.

I LOVE Cracker Barrel. Our service was great and everyone was so friendly. The food came out quick and it was delicious! If you love homestyle, southern cooking then you’ll love it here. The prices are also very reasonable, too good to be true if you ask me. I don’t think you can go wrong here. I hope the next location I visit is as great as this one :).

Great homestyle cooking for a VERY reasonable price. The service is always top notch at this one… much better than the Maumee location. Everything always comes out quick, perfect looking, hot, and cooked to perfection. The employees are always very nice and attentive. My daughter has a thing for hot chocolate with extra extra whipped cream and they are more than accomodating to her, chatting with us but not in an overly bothersome way. The meatloaf is great and the catfish always flaky and fried nicely… everything I have tried here has been perfect. I love shopping the store and it is always packed with goodies that you will not find elsewhere. I have a thing for candles and they even carry my soap that tends to be hard to find. I go here quite a bit and maybe I am biased now that everyone there knows us LOL… it’s almost like going home or to granny’s to eat.
